Linden Leaves Shampoo & Conditioner

Overall average. The shampoo smelt alot like my toilet cleaner (not a bad smell but almost disinfectant-like) however I loved the smell of the conditioner. The bottles are not very pliable making it a bit hard to get the product out. The shampoo does not lather very much, so I had to use quite a large amount making it not very cost effective. I don't believe in spending a huge amount of money on shampoo and conditioner as I have found that the supermarket brand I use gives me the same results as the expensive salon brands, so I wouldn't buy this product in the future.

Tips: Leave the conditioner to soak into your hair for 1-2 minutes for soft, tangle free hair.

Linden Leaves Shampoo and Conditioner

I was very lucky to score this in the very first vault. At the time I was in search of more natural, organic SLS-free shampoos and conditioners. The label says has 0% parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil. So I was ecstatic to add this to my collection of shampoos and conditioners. The bottles look a bit high end with the labels. However when I checked the label in the back the shampoo isn't mostly natural or completely sulphate free and the conditioner had even fewer natural ingredients in it. The scent of the shampoo is a herbal scent and you can smell the rosemary and cypress oils, it's a very unisex scent. It's rather thick and lathers pretty well. My hair gets that squeeky, clean feel and my scalp is refreshed afterwards but long, ends up rather tangled. The product is also a bit thick and slightly difficult to get out of the hole in the flip top, especially after the product dries and blocks the hole and I had the same problem with the conditioner. The conditioner has this nice refreshing scent I can't smell the mint so much but I can smell a hint of tangerine but that's pretty much where my love of this product ends. This conditioner didn't do much for my hair especially after the shampoo tangled it up. I found it didn't moisturize much even when I over applied it to the lengths of my hair. It did work well on my scalp though and was refreshing. Given that my hair didn't respond well to this set, I ended up given it away. I'm glad I scored these in the vault because if I had bought these I would've considered it a waste as I've had better results with some cheaper shampoo and conditioners. Also my hair doesn't last as long between washes if I use this in comparison to other brands and this seems to dry it out. I would recommend this however for guys and people with short hair, especially since the scent is very unisex.

Tips: A good set for guys but I wouldn't recommend this for long hair.

For the curly haired girls

First off I should say that it has taken me 6 years to find a shampoo that keeps my hair in actual curls and not turning it into a fuzzy mess. This shampoo disappointed me from the start. I first washed my hair with a small amount (as it says on the bottle) but it barely cleaned my hair and I had to cover my entire hand in shampoo for it to wash my hair. This meant that already I'd used up a third of the bottle. And for let's say $15 a bottle (half the RRP) I want to use the shampoo more than three times. When my hair dried it was clean but it had taken the definitive curl out of my hair. It was like Hermione in Philosopher's Stone. But this was to be expected from a shampoo that claims to be for all hair types. Like I said, it's incredibly difficult to find a good shampoo for curly hair. I also used the conditioner which I originally thought I wouldn't have a lot to talk about (isn't all conditioner the same?) but when my hair dried, not only was it bushy it was very dry. I found myself thinking that my hair looked better when I needed to wash it. It had its curl and at least it wasn't dry as old newspaper.

I wouldn't use this again, but mainly because its not made for curly hair, dryness could have been fixed with using some more conditioner maybe, but I need a shampoo that will be good to my hair.

Tips: Maybe good for people with straight or short hair

Certainly not for ALL hair types

I was sceptical when I read on the bottles, Suitable for All Hair types, as I usually use products for dry/damaged hair. Unfortunately my hair was left frizzy, dry and plain ugly after using this :( Will pass it on to my hubby to use :)

Tips: Not for All hair types, as stated on the bottles.
