L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo Review

I was very interested to try this shampoo to see if it would help reduce my hair fallout. (It defiantly has! ) This shampoo really does cleanse your hair! It gives it a good thorough clean which I am impressed by. The shampoo bottle itself is really nice looking, It foams up well and It smells very fruity which the smell reminded me of the Garnier Fructis range.

I have used this shampoo more that a handful of times so far and I feel with every application my hair gets worse. But keep in mind, It has reduced my hair fallout greatly. The first downfall I have found is that my hair is now extremely dry! I couldn't believe how dry it feels since starting to use this shampoo. Maybe If I used the treatment that is in this Arginine Resist range, It could restore the moisture, or some other form of treatment. The second downfall is how frizzy my hair has become. Insanely frizzy, I couldn't tame it. The final downfall was that it made majority of my hair matted! I could not brush my hair what so ever. Each time I wash my hair I have slowly been trying to untangle the birds nest of hair from what this shampoo has done.

Overall I would not try this again, I hope no one else had a similar experience as I have had. I felt very let down in this shampoo. In my opinion I think it was a fantastic idea that Loreal came up with a hair product that reduces hair fall out. They perfected that aspect of it, however I think the formula needs a tweak to balance all aspects of it out. If they perfected this shampoo then I would 100% use it again.

Disappointed with this one unfortunately. It definitely did help to reduce hair fall, so the product did what it 'should', however, the fragrance, I found so disgusting I struggled to use the whole bottle. Fragrance needs changing but otherwise an average product

As a hairdresser myself i must give a honest opinion, facts are there are 3stages of growth anagen, catagon, telogen, each period lasts aprox a month and is growth, rest and mault, so im unsure as to how this is supposed to stop the hair from falling? Im asuming its to help reduce the loss of exsess hair and keep the hair in its most healty state as its attacthed. However I did find this one of the nicest and best supermarket shampoos i have used, it doesnt build up with silicon like alot do and it cleanses well. It would be one of my most highly advised recomendations for an non salon product.

I received this product free from Beauty Review at the end of July, and have been using it every day since. As a basic supermarket brand shampoo, this product performs well. It has a fruity/floral fragrance, quite strong in the bottle, but fading once applied and rinsed out. The formulation is thick and creamy and it glides through hair smoothly, without catching. It rinses cleanly away and leaves the hear clean. In terms of any 'anti hair fall' properties, I couldn't say I noticed any difference, but I do think that the fact it is a very soft formulation and doesn't tangle the hair, probably means less stress on the hair - less pulling and tugging when washing and combing, so there is that. It does leave the hair a bit fly-away though, which can be annoying. One thing I have to say, the bottle is pretty ugly - like something out of the 80s - Tron (the original) meets Dynasty. Hot pink, black, white and silver with some kind of meaningless box and swirl design. I prefer something a little more subtle. In summary, a decent basic shampoo, better used for it's detangling properties than anything else.

Really nice foam and clean with shampoo lathers well and my scalp felt clean. I have very think hair so my hair fall out issue didn't work ad well as I hoped it would I would say I had a 20% reduction in fall out based on the amount of hair that came out during the washing process. Used product 6 times every 3 days.

I used this product along with the conditioner for a few weeks.The packaging; I liked . The fist thing I noticed was that the product had a lovely soft,creamy texture which smelt fantastic. It lathered up well and in fact my hair felt very soft after the shampoo prior to conditioning. I feels that this product was successful in making it feel soft and in better condition but don't feel that it helped in any great deal with hair fallout.

About twice a year I seem to have a fhair fall out and regrowth session. I end up with tiny new sticking up hair around the parting and you can't get a hair straightener under those wee ones. I can't see the this shampoo would change nature. l'oreal shampoos and conditioners are always my favourites and I would buy the shampoo again, but at the moment I am hooked on the latest extra body range.

I tried this product which I purchased from Countdown, as I had terrible hair fall due to Graves Disease. I thought the red and black bottle looked attractive. The shampoo has the consistency of a lotion and has a lovely botanical fragrance. The added bonus is that it is white so doesn't add any staining to my blond hair.

My scalp and hair do feel very clean after using it. You don't need a lot of it for each wash and it doesn't produce too much lather, which I prefer.

I couldn't say it stopped my hair fall but I'm sure it helps strengthen my hair , which is getting better over time. I am continuing to use it and recommend it to others who feel their hair could be stronger.

It comes at a very reasonable price.

So about 2 years ago, I started noticing a significant amount of hair loss and hair fall. Like it was a scary amount. I run my hands through my hair and get fistfuls of hair coming out of it. Washing my hair is worse!

But since I bleached my head blonde, and switched to purple shampoo that hair fall dramatically decreased. I'm talking from fistfuls to say maybe 10 strands of hair. But there are off days when I still get my fistfuls of hair falling. I was stoked, but I wanted to try this produce to stop the fall of my hair completely, and fix those off days.

But, I'm sorry to say, that I was really disappointed. The first time I used it, as I was using it, a crazy amount of hair was coming off on my hands. Hang on, isn't this product supposed to reverse this?? I put it down to just having switched from my toning shampoo to a new shampoo so I didn't think much of it.

But I've been using it for 2 and a bit weeks now, and I've yet to notice a dramatic decrease in hair loss. As mentioned before, somedays a good amount of hair comes off, and some days if I'm lucky only a few strands here and there come off. So as far as does the product work goes, I can't say that it does for me.

But I love the scent of the shampoo, it lingers on the hair a very long time, and makes hair SUPER shiny! Bonus!! But it leaves your hair extremely dry, think straws and hay stacks, the dryness does get better when hair is dry, but it still feels very brittle and scratchy! Not ideal. The conditioner on the other hand is perfect for regaining all the moisture back to the hair, but you can't put conditioner on your scalp otherwise it will get oily. I brake the rules all the time with this shampoo and apply the conditioner to my scalp as well, to hydrate the hair, but then my clean hair lasts only one day, as the scalp goes super oily.

No difference at all. Has a nice smell but thats about all I like about it. No different to other shampoos I use unfortunately.. Brushed my hair 50 times before using the duo, and recorded how much hair was on my hair brush. Did it again after using the shampoo and conditioner for 2 weeks, and no difference. Ohwell..
