When this product arrived I was really excited to try it as I had seen workmates with the ombre look and loved it. The packaging was very sleek and stylish. Everything in the box was easily identifiable, and the instructions easy to follow. I did check out a how to video online. I was as easy as just mix and combing your hair to apply. My hair is shoulder length so the effect was mainly towards the end section. I did seem to still have quite abit of solution left in the bottle. This probably due to having shorter length hair. Couldn't actually find anywhere in instructions just exactly how much of the bottle to apply. My hair did feel straw like once solution was washed off but once I used the shampooing condition it was fine. Apart from that is was easy as and my hair feels as it normally does. A salon look without the price tag.

Tips: Use in well a ventilated area. Do have someone check the back of your head just to make sure your application is even.
I found this relatively easy to do, it was a little difficult to know whether or not I had the back done correctly. I liked the colour but I was glad I darkened some of my hair first. (My blonde ends needed to be darker before I started). I would use this again and I think I would find this a lot easier the second time round. This left my hair in a lovely soft condition. The packaging was very attractive and the instructions clear & easy to understand.
Tips: May be easier if you have someone to help you with the back.
This product was great at lighting my ends but so is many other bleaches. The instructions were really good and so were the tools that come with it. But buying this dye I thought it would have dark dye and bleach for the ends but it's just bleach. It is a quality product though.
Tips: The instructions are pritty good for this product. I suggest watching the video on there website first.
I was getting bored with my hair and decided to do something crazy and branch out from the same style I have had for almost 4 years. I have wanted a balayage for ages now but its so expensive in salons. Instead, I picked up a box of loreal wild ombre on special for $13 and gave it a whirl myself!
Now I wanted a really subtle look so didn't do a straight ombre like on the box. I watched heaps of tutorials online and came across one which used backcombing to achieve a really natural result.
I have extremely thick, long hair so I was worried that the backcombing might be too difficult - and it was, to start with! It gets a bit confusing and you just have to keep going once you start! I tried my best to section off parts of my hair but ended up just grabbing chunks as i went, backcombing and then dying the end strands which were left. This is a really great way to diffuse the colour so it blends in more naturally.
After about 20 minutes ( I should have left it longer but was scared it would be too light) I rinsed it out , smothered my hair with conditioner and began the really arduous task of detangling the backcombed hair.
The result was perfect! Exactly how it looked in the tutorial, nice and subtle and extremely natural looking. However, after this first taste I wanted more... and so I ended up going back through my hair freestyling with the left over dye to create highlights throughout it. I really love the result but it definitely damaged my hair a wee bit so I think I will end up getting a cut and colour towards the end of summer!
My verdict is that its super easy to use, it has an awesome comb applicator that does the work for you and the colour is really nice once developed! If you're after a cheap fix and want to try something new then this is for you!
When bleaching any dark hair it's important to understand that bleaching it once isn't going to get you a platinum blonde colour; with this kit, it made it easy to lift some of the colour from my dark brown hair, although I did need to repurchace the kit a few times over a few months because my hair was so dark. It was super handy and easy to use as it comes with gloves and a comb. I had to tone my hair quite a lot because after the first 2-3 bleaches my hair was quite brassy but I would still recommend this product because it ended up being a lot cheaper than going to a hair dresser and I do really love the results
I had ombre done at a hairdressers for a ridiculous price, once that had faded out I did this and it worked just as well if not better! Was so easy to use for at home hair dye, Such a GREAT experience :)
Tips: Get two boxes for long hair
I brought this mid last year along with the shade 3. I would say that yes it does work but I guess not to the level most people expect, when I used this it slightly coloured my hair and my hair colour before application was light brown to medium blonde so I did expect a lot of difference but it is a very average outcome. I did use a toner after that so it did fix that up a bit. I wouldnt say I am impressed with this hair colour but it is good for what it is. I do love the little comb you get with it to apply the colour it is very helpful and very handy .
I thought I'd give this product a go in a bid to experience wild change... Wild Ombre seemed to be the obvious choice. While there was a change to my hair, it is only subtle. Not what I was after but still nice nonetheless. As you can't pile the hair on top of your head like with a normal at home dye you do find yourself more light headed than usual. The instructions weren't overly helpful either especially since I was dealing with basically bleach.... My hair is a little fried but I'll put a treatment through and it'll be fine
Tips: Watch a YouTube how to first. It makes life SO much easier
It has been a very long time since I attempted to lighten my hair with a box dye after a few disasters, but not having dyed my hair for so long has made me brave. I have very long (almost to my bum), dark, curly hair. Whilst I do get dry ends (a common side-effect of curly hair) my hair is in otherwise good condition.
This product was very easy to apply, the brush that came with it did a good job and I've actually kept it in case I want to touch up or go over it with another colour. I only left the product in my hair for 30min as I wanted a subtle colour change and I really like it. The product has taken my hair from dark brown to to a medium golden brown.
After you rinse the product out of your hair there is a conditioning shampoo to go through your hair, as my hair was feeling slightly dry I followed up with conditioner then one out of the shower applied some hair oil to the ends.
Once my hair had dried I was really happy with the result, plan on leaving my hair at this colour and maybe going a bit lighter in summer.
Tips: As it doesn't come with a nice conditioner be prepared with your own as your hair will need some TLC after using this product.
I have very long hair overall ombre was great I would definatly use this product again as I have done my own hair for years instead of going to a salon. The packaging is cool, easy instructions to follow. I liked the black gloves and the brush to apply the colour. I would suggest you watch you tube as to how to apply ombre. I am happy with the colour turned out caramel not blonde but also not orange as what I have read in other reviews, mine is streaking colour through my long hair so using 2 boxes would give you more coverage. At $17.99 it is cheap afffordable to do at home when your ready. Great product overall!!!! My hair is loving the conditioner with the ombre its so soft and smells good.
