Redken Extreme Shampoo Review

I started using this about a year and a half ago and I've never looked back. I had very damaged hair when i was recommended this product by my hairdresser and within 6 months it was so much healthier. I use it twice a week along with the Redken Clear Moisture conditioner and it works so well! My hair feels stronger and healthier every time i use it, plus it smells so great! Thank you Redken for making a great product for my damaged over bleached hair!!

The extreme range from Redken is amazing and I have been using it for a few years now.

Because I have relatively fine hair that is prone to breakage and split ends and also a love of coloring my hair my hairdresser recommended I start using this product prior to bleaching my hair.

My hair is naturally dark brown with years of color build up so when I asked for an ombre I need to find a way of looking after my hair to maintain its length while lightning it.

Within a few months I noticed my hair had become less frizzy and there seemed to be less snapped off hair decorating my vanity. My hair also bleached beautifully and did not feel weak or compromised afterwards.

The only problem with using a product loaded with protein is that after using it for ages your hair starts to feel a bit crispy. To combat this I swap to using Redken's All Soft range for a month or two before reverting back to the Extreme range.

I like the bottle sort of flat and a beautiful shade of cornflower blue crossed with a purple. The shampoo is a pearlised colour and has a clean yummy fragrance of a sweet aniseed it’s yum. A good foaming shampoo that cleans right down to my scalp adding strength to my hair with every wash, I learnt with going lighter that protein is needed to strengthen the hair. This shampoo adds life to hair right down to the frizzy tips. It doesn’t work in one wash or on its own it’s best used with the conditioner. But for clean a healthy hair this does add life and puts the streach he back into the hair shaft, after using this range for 3 weeks my hair most definitely improved in condition and I had less breakage. It’s a very good shampoo easy to rinse out leaving no reside hair is left silky and clean with a beautiful fragrance.

A friend recommended this product after I bought and tried another expensive product that didn't work for me. I was sceptical, my hair is long and coloured so it dries out quickly. From the first time I used this product my hair saw a dramatic change, it was soft and smooth. All the frizziness was gone and it smelt delicious. I've been using this for a month now in conjunction with the conditioner and I can honestly say I will never use another shampoo again! Highly recommend. Well worth the money.

This shampoo is a must have if your hair is snapping from bleach! it really helped with making my hair feel stronger. You don't need much product about a $2 coin size, a little goes a long way. The bottle has lasted me months! unlike other shampoos ive tried this doesn't leave my hair feeling like straw which is a total win for me! If your coloring or bleaching your hair you should be using this!! it will help with split ends and snapping so much, it has for me! 10/10 Have recommend to many of my friends.

Amazing shampoo. My hair is dry and has been snapping from being bleached and then balayage. My partner was impressed even at how nice my hair felt after 1 wash. I use it with the conditioner and leave in treatment.

Well....... my kind thoughtful husband brought this for me; out of the blue. I was taking to him that I had been losing a lot more hair of late and it was worrying. My husband randomly went past a store on his break and thought of me.

Sooo..... I am very happy he did! Because he brought this. This really did help strengthen my hair and I did notice less fall out. My hair was super soft and shiny. The new packaging looks Highend and had a Squirt lid dispenser.

It smells high end and is like tasty lollies! Mmmm yum! The shampoo is a thick white lotion consistency. I highly recommend this product

Love this shampoo i swap it in every second time with my fudge violet shampoo! It smells delicious and makes your hair feel nice and clean and stronger! Its just enough protein to keep my hair feeling soft and healthy i also use the redken extreme anti-snap every time after i shampoo and have recently purchased the redken extreme length primer and it is to die for! Would recommend it to anyone experiencing breakage or has chemically damaged hair :)

I have Curly Hair with a scalp that can get very oily and dry damaged ends. This along with the conditioner was recommended by my hairdresser. Prior to using this I was just using $4 Organic Care from the supermarket for about 3 years. I noticed a massive difference in the condition and strength of my hair and it grows much quicker now as well as there is not so much breakage. Love the smell, love the packaging and does what it says.
