VS Sassoon Unbound Cordless Auto Curler

Very easy to use and has two different ways of curling. You can also mix it, what i usually end up doing. there are 3 different temperatures and length of each curl time. also, you can use it quite long after charging. Only thing that it cannot do is work while is charging, but very happy with everything else.

This product is the best thing that is out. It creates amazing curls without having to do much work. The curls are beautiful that come out of the machine every time and last all day. I highly recommend this product it does exactly what it says it does and is great that it is cordless. I also like how you can brush it out to make the curls less tight and wavy. It is great that it has different settings for heat temperature, time frame and direction of curls so you can chose what you want to do. I was surprised how quick it is to use the curler on all of my hair it does not take long at all

Ok first things first, I use a VS straightener and a VS hairdryer already, so really like the VS range of styling products, that are fairly priced and work well. I had heard mixed reviews of these types of stylers, so really didn't know what to expect.

The auto curler came in a box which had good pictures of what the item was, what it does and a pic of a curly hair style done with it. The curler was well packaged, with the added bonus of a little hard carry case! This got big "ups" from me as I often take my straighteners to work when I have wash my hair, as it is fine and I walk to work, often the time I get there I need to restraighten/re-curl as it's gone all yuk. So to have not only a cordless unit, but a carry case! Heaven!! Love the colour of the curler, it has a digital display, which is really easy to use once you read the instructions haha. You change change the temperature, curl direction, and the time for the curl. As my hair is fine I use the higher temp setting of 200 degrees most of the time and change the timer depending on the curl type.

My hair is just above shoulder length, sort of at the bottom of my neck and has a couple of layers. I tried different amounts of hair to see what kind if curls I could get and I really was impressed - the curl direction option is wonderful and the curler does an absolute great job of curling.

It heats up pretty quickly and beeps when it's ready to go - it's cordless which is AMAZING and to be honest it's pretty quick to curl my whole head (shorter hair). I love this little unit! I must also say that it's less damaging heat wise as I used it for around 3 days in a row and my hair is definitely less "frizzy" feeling than when I use my straighteners for the same amount of time! Yay!!!

I also tried on my daughter's hair, she has waist length hair, not super thick but heaps of it, and it worked a real treat for her too!

Omg, now this is a product that does what it says, easy to use and cordless to boot which made hair styling so much easier. No more twisting your hair around it and a timers too...

Let's of forgot to mention the fact the curls lasted longer as well, quick and easy highly recommend for sure. The cute letter pouch it comes with is great as well. Auto turn off is very handy indeed no more worrying if I left it on or chance of burning a surface as it's all internal.

Where do I start with this incredible product! 1) No cord: I hadn’t appreciated how annoying the cord is on my current curler until you don’t have one, so much easier to get the angles to curl when you don’t have a cord, 2) using the functions is a breeze, intuitive for those who are terrible at reading instructions (the YouTube video tells you all you need too), 3) beautiful curls with thick hair: I used the hottest setting for the maximum time, the curls were ringlets when they came out but let them cool, run your hand through it and it’s awesome and held really well. The curler heats up quickly so minimal wait time. Once you’ve seen how to feed the hair into the curler, it’s quick and easy. The result is stunning. I headed off overseas while in this trial, the carry case is small and light, and the unit was perfect for a few front curls after a day of working and quick turnaround before dinner. This product is worth every cent, game changing.

I’ve used straightening irons to curl my hair for years now and that’s what I’m used to. I didn’t have high hopes that a cordless curler could be as good, but where has this been all my life?! I’m super impressed at how well this curls my fine, wavy hair. I use it on the lowest setting 160degrees for 6 seconds and my curls last all day. Use a wide tooth comb to brush out for a looser curl as I find the curls can be a bit tight even on the lowest setting. I was nervous my hair would get caught but after a few tries it definitely makes curling my hair faster. You do need to make sure your hair doesn’t have any knots and is completely dry before using. It sucks that the travel case doesn’t fit the charger (only the cable) which seems like an oversight. But I’m using this all the time because it’s so easy! Highly recommend, you’ll want to become a serial curler too ;)

I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve, opening presents! Upon opening the box, I noticed the curler's lovely purple color, wow! It looks luxurious with the gold trimmings and buttons and "Unbound" written in cursive on the side. It's so good-looking! Included I found a travel case, fancy and good quality. It is a hard strong case in a nice blue color with a gold zip. On the curler, it instructs you to charge overnight before first use. I made sure the comb my hair through to ensure there are no knots. I only added a heat treatment and nothing else. After switching it on, you have a choice of heat settings, you can choose how long you want it to curl for and even choose which direction to curl your hair. I chose "mix" which just sounded easier. I chose the lowest heat and shortest time as I have thin hair. I took a section of my hair and held the curler next to it. I pressed the big button and it began to slurp up my hair, I started panicking! What if it gets caught in there? Well, I tell you, that never happened. I did section by section and it took the hair effortlessly and produced beautiful curls. It took me less than 15 minutes to do my whole head of hair. My hair didn't hold the curls for long so after a while I found they just fell flat, I quickly grabbed my portable curler and stood in front of the mirror in the lounge where I was, and re-did it. Sprayed some hair spray, which helped to hold the curls. Gosh, I love this! I could even take this to work with me and redo curls during the day if I needed, so handy. I would definitely recommend this to a friend as it does what it claims and it is of high quality.

The curler is oval shaped and fits comfortably in the hand, with a textured handle to maintain a firm grip.

The instructions are straight forward, and you can customise the temperature, curling time, and direction to left, right or a mix of both.

I brushed my hair and used heat protectant spray before using the curler. It heats up quickly. My hair is generally pretty resistant to curling, so I used the highest heat setting (200 degrees) and a 10 second curl time.

It seemed to be a lot more effective than wand style curlers since the hair is enclosed in the heat. It was easy to use and took the guess work out of timing for optimal results.
