I have never had much success with fake lashes, so I wasn't 100% convinced that I was the right person to trial these. I was still curious though and enjoyed the experience. The concept sounds good on paper - dip them in water and you don't need glue - easy enough - that was the part I liked best, because the glue can be messy! I had to trim the lashes slightly. I dipped them briefly and then applied. Went on easy enough but not convinced they have enough staying power to last a whole day or evening. I like the fact that they are re-usable, and I will use them with a lash adhesive next time. I have taken off one point for that because they don't sit securely enough to my liking. They are soft and wispy and add beautiful length. The colour is gorgeous and the effect is very pretty. So, yes, I love them, but not sure that I would feel comfortable to recommend them to my friends just in case they end up with their lashes falling off into their dinner.

Tips: Use a lash adhesive to secure the lashes if they don't stick well enough.
So I tried using these I dipped them in the water as it says I waited until sticky then applied but they just wouldn't stay in place and out came the glue I have to say once in place they are very nice they blended on well with my natural lashes and gave me the loft I wanted easy to remove but the whole idea is great but just didn't quite work as it should have so overall not a good experience with these
Tips: Use your own glue
As a total newbie to these I found them tricky to put on. This wasn't helped by the fact I couldn't see what I was doing without my glasses. As suggested they did need a slight trim of length. The adhesive is good but not sure if would fo 3 times. Only had time to try once. I found after about 5 hours they started to annoy but maybe that is because I'm not used to them and maybe not exactly where they should be.
Tips: If you wear glasses maybe get someone else to put them on for you like say your partner.
These come in a nice, attractive box, you can see the lashes through the clear panel in front.
Easy to take out of box and easy to apply just by slightly wetting then. They have a great look to them and are not to intense.
They do tend to be a bit hard to get off but I can definitely use them again.
Tips: Make sure you wet them enough to stick, but also use enough water to get them off.
So first of all, I do love the idea and the concept of the water adhesive. It did work really well, became sticky etc, and I loved not having to do the glue! In terms of time saving- great option.
Unfortunately, the 1st time use- I got no more than 2 hours before they started peeling off, in different sections. I also did find them heavier than other lashes. The 2nd use, they had barely any stick left at all.
I think they would be great for short, short term use/ photos etc, but for me, I think a solid mascara and eyeliner is easier to apply and use. In the first hour- the sticky was very much on, they wouldn't have budged in a hail storm, but time does not seem to be a friend for these lashes.
I did love the dramatic effect of the lashes, but on me they probably were a bit too much.
Tips: You dont need to leave in the water too long- it really is 5 second dip- and apply as soon as tacky :)
I gave these a whirl not sure if they would work or not but yup they did, and it is so much easier not worrying about glue application - i always mucked that part up. I put some water in a shallow dish so that i could dip them in before applying. I had them on a few hpurs and they seemed to hold okay, will have to try wearing them for a full day and see how they hold up
Tips: put your water in a smal shallow dish or even plate so you can dip the lashes in it
I am a big fan of wearing false lashes and have tried many different brands and styles. I love the Manicare Hydro Lashes that are water activated, I used 83. naomi and they are beautiful. They are soft and fluffy and really glam, perfect for a wedding or special event. I even like to wear mine daily. They were really simple to use and much easier than having to worry about glue, you simply match them up to your eye and trim if they’re too long, dip in a tiny bit of water and wait for one minute, then apply to eyelid, they dry really fast too! They are so easy to remove too. I wore mine twice all day and they held in place beautifully. They are lightweight and don’t feel heavy or fake like some I have tried. Overall I would highly recommend these lashes and will be getting some more as soon as possible.
Tips: Take your time and match up to your eye before wetting the lashes. When removing, use water and gently peel don’t pull too hard or they will twist out of shape or stretch.
Firstly let me preface this by saying, I'm not super talented at applying lashes to myself on my best day! I was really hoping the whole dunk and apply thing would be as easy as it sounds - and looks for that matter having watched the Manicare online video for Glam Lashes but it just wasn't to be for me.
The instruction on the packet are brief - there is no mention of the time the lashes should be submerged for, a quick google gave me The Chemist Warehouse website where the instructions say to "Dip lash band in water for 5 seconds and then remove from water, Wait 60 seconds for the water to absorb into the lash band. then apply & allow to dry"
Sounds easy right? For me apparently not so much :( Left eye first attempt I could get the left end to stick and the right end flapped in the breeze, Right eye first attempt had the right end stuck and the left end flapping around :( At this point I called it a day as I really hadn't allowed enough time to have multiple goes before running out the door.
Also - side note - the instructions say to apply your lashes last step in your makeup routine, for me this is a disaster! Wet lashes smudged the makeup I already had on :(
Second attempt I allowed a lot more time and applied the lashes to my eyes with just primer and foundation on my eyelids and a couple coats of mascara, waterproof this time! While this attempt went better I still couldn't get both ends to stay stuck down.
I'm saving the third attempt for a girls night out when someone more talented than me can have a go at putting them on me!
The lashes themselves look lovely, I got the Daniela lashes, a 2 on the intensity scale, which looked lovely on, a little more length and density than "normal" lashes and a look I'd be comfortable wearing often.
If only the application was as easy as it looks!
I wasn’t going to put my hand up for this trial as I’ve never used false lashes, and I live in a beach town where makeup is not huge. But I thought I would actually be a good candidate for this reason, are these lashes idiot proof? The add says effortless application so I thought I would give this a go. The packaging was a good size to slip into a makeup bag and protected the lashes well. The lashes themselves looked pretty!! So pretty. So I got quite excited. I did it in the bathroom and dunked them under the tap, dropping them a few times in the sink. The packet said wait 60 seconds and then apply, however I used those 60 seconds to adjust and readjust till I was happy, which took a bit. After all my fumbling they went on easy peasy and looked amazing. Drool worthy lashes. So yes I can officially say they are not only idiot proof, but drop and fumble proof. The only thing was, it did feel like I had taped sticks to my eyelids as they were quite rigid. I did like that fact that can be used a few times though, that was a bonus. So I do recommend giving these a try.
Tips: Remember to wet them before pulling them off…..
I was so looking forward to wearing these to my friends wedding. Normal eyelash glue irritates my eyes so I thought these would be perfect. However, the lash band was so stiff. I like to wiggle my false lashes before wearing them to loosen them up so they fit to my eye shape better, but you couldn't do that with these. Even after I had dipped them in water, they were stiff and crunchy? I eventually got them on my eyes, but the band was stabbing into my skin (yes, I trimmed them down to fit my eyes!) and were just too irritating to wear.
Great in theory, not so much in execution.
