Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

Just a lovely product to use if you dont want heavy make up, really nice to for day time use . The colour was perfect, just a great all rounder.

I had used one ages ago and didn't really like it, I have worn this nearly every day since getting it and love it! Its got a great coverage which I wasn't expecting, and skin looks healthy. I still put my foundation over it but it sits beautifully!

I was accepted onto this trial and was really excited the day my package arrived. I've been wanting to try a BB cream for a long time now but havent gotten around to it so this was a fantastic chance to try it out. I've got fairly normal skin, a bit dry on my forehead and cheeks at times and have a decent coverage of freckles. Ive never wanted a full coverage foundation as to cover all the freckles I'd need a decent mask and prefer a natural look. On squeezing the first blob onto my hand it had quite a dark hue to it and looked quite thick, to be honest it felt weird to apply as I felt it left a residue on my face, and felt a little bit sticky compared to my normal revlon photoready foundation. Coverage wasnt that fantastic but in all honesty it did even out my complexion compared to no makeup (i took a before and after photo). However for my under eyes I had to apply a layer of foundation over top to get the coverage I would want, also on any other problem areas I was finding on the given day. I'm a firm believer in laziness and fingers are my weapon of choice for application and it went on smoothly however I was left wanting to wash my hands afterwards. It does have a bit of a scent to it - not a bad one but one that is there none-the-less, it didnt bother me too much buti definitely notice it when I apply it. Because it has such a light coverage i'm not exactly sure how long it lasts for but applying it about 7 hours ago i can still feel the moisturising aspect on my cheeks when i touch them. The tube has a pop open lid and you squeeze out the amount you want, fairly easy to use and not too much mess or fuss. Day one I did not like this product. Day two I didnt really dislike it Day three i realised it's not a foundation... it's a BB cream and I shouldnt be judging it by foundation standards... it does entirely different things to what I normally would be using so of course it's going to feel different. I will continue to use this although I'm not yet sure if I will buy another tube once this one runs out - I'm not in love with it yet.

This is the second BB Cream that I have used and I was hoping to like it more than the first one. I normally just use concealer on spots and under my eyes so I was hoping that BB cream would be a good alternative to a full on foundation. Although it is light and does blend well I still feel like I've got a bit of a layer of makeup on which is not pleasant for me. I think this would be a great cream if you normally wear foundation or BB cream but for myself I think I will stick to concealer unless I am going for a full made up, dramatic look.

This is the first BB cream i have tried and although i have nothing to compare it to i have heard and watched many beauty reviews on what a BB cream achieves. My first thoughts when opening the package was that i had sadly received the wrong color, Medium. I am of olive complexion but this seemed really dark , unsure of if it was meant to be darker than my skin tone i trialed it anyway. I squeezed a small amount onto the back of my hand and was delighted by the light scent which i can only describe as fresh almost floral, different to my usual brand, shiseido. I glided it onto my face using my fingertips as i had seen many beauty reviewers do and it spread like silk and was lovely to apply, i was a little shocked by the color and had to laugh as i looked quite orange,I let this to set for a few minutes before applying my usual foundation and continuing with my regular beauty routine. I was very surprised that the color actually blended in very well with my lighter foundation and did not look orange at all. I continued this routine through out the week. What i discovered is that i had slightly more coverage than pre BB routine and a softer slightly flawless complexion. I have fine lines around my eyes and i was surprised with the way they were less noticeable than usual. Another thing i noted is that my makeup seemed to stay on longer than usual, this could have been because it is winter but if i continue to use through to summer i will see if i still see the same results.

I absolutely love Garnier products like I have used just about all of them but this little beauty didn't really do it for me.

The packaging is great with the flip top very clean and easy to use but that's where it ended for me. The consistency was good but felt it was too thick for a BB, coverage was too much for a BB and to build on it for more coverage it made me look orange! It was too dark for my complexion, I'm actually going to try this product in the summer when my skin tone is slightly darker, it just didn't work for me I found it slightly greasy for my normal skin. Not a big fan on this but normally I love Garnier products.

I have no shame in admitting I'm a "make up every day" kinda girl.

I ditched the foundation, and used this cream in its place for a week.

I applied it to skin, with a primer applied 15 min earlier underneath, and with clean fingertips.

I started out with a tiny amount (pea sized) but found I needed a little more to blend past my jaw, and down my neck. It went on well, it offered less coverage than I was used to, but it's a BB cream, not a foundation. I found it's staying power was no where near as "long lasting" as it claimed sadly, and noticed it turning patchy around my mouth and nose around lunch time. I did however find it hydrating, and although the colour and coverage became patchy, my skin was not dry.

I received the light shade my first thought of this product as I squeezed it out was it felt quite thick and clay-like. I was sick while trialling this and found that it was actually slightly too dark for me :( I did like the fact that it did help reduce redness, it did add a bit more colour and life to my skin from being sick but it didn't seem to do any kind of coverage for hiding my freckles (which personally I hate!) but for a light make up look it is fine, although I did feel like my "T zone" did get a bit oily from this product sadly hopefully once I am over my bug I can build it up and maybe get different results. Do like the packaging and how much control you have of how much product is dispensed.

This product is great, especially since you don't need to moisturize aswell, which I did accidentally the first time so was quite thick. Takes a little while to sink into your skin and dry. One coat is good enough but for full coverage I would recommend 2. Will keep using!
