Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

First off, I have oily/combination skin - I get oily especially around the nose and relatively normal skin elsewhere. I thought that I would be Medium skin-toned as I am olive skinned, however, it was much too dark and orange-toned for me, However, I continued to use it in order to test out the formula and whether it worked, before I think about possibly getting the light one. One thing I didn't like was how runny the consistency was, it made application messy. It did go on quite smoothly though which was good. I just used my fingers to apply it, but will look into using brushes or blenders when I get some.

In terms of coverage, it was a very light coverage, especially as I have a lot of acne scars and a few blemishes that it didn't cover, and putting on more than 2 layers started looking quite cakey.

My face stayed matte for quite a few hours but I did notice oily patches showing through after about 4 hours of wear. It does minimise the appearance of pores which is good, but it definitely does not cover redness and imperfections. I still need concealer to do all that. I would recommend it for people who have few blemishes and redness but if you need coverage, then this definitely would not be the product for you. The packaging is quite slim and handy to carry, but I don't like the tube because it just leaks out into the cap, and every time I open it to use, there's just a lot of product sitting in the cap which is both unhygienic and takes forever to clean. It doesn't dry out skin and hasn't broken me out so far which is good, as I have particularly acne prone skin.

Overall though, I would not repurchase as this does not meet my needs and I would most likely opt for liquid foundation with medium coverage instead.

I love Garnier miracle protector bb cream, light. It is fantastic! It feels like you are wearing air and it goes on so softly and smoothly. It is a great base for your make up and makes you look flawless! I also like how it blends in so easily and it does not make your skin greasy. My 18 year old daughter has tried it and loves it also. We have recommended it to all our friends and family. It hydrates your skin beautifully, covers any redness, is light to wear and makes your skin look alive. It comes in different combinations for different ages and skin types. Also different colors. So try it, you won't be sorry. We love it.

I got the oily to combo skin, in medium. My first time using BB Cream, I have heard a lot of good things about it. I don't normally wear make up. Only mascara and eye liner on occasions.

So here is what I thought.

Skin type - I have oily to combo skin. My chin and upper lip is the only place I get break-outs/acne. I was concerned this would make me break-out.

Consistency - When I opened it, some of the product oozed out. Product was watery.

Application - It's easy to apply. The box does say to apply as you would your moisturiser. So I did. After I washed my face, I applied the product with my fingers. I rubbed it in, making sure I covered all my face.

Fragrance - It smells like makeup. Im not sure if it's supposed to smell like anything. I couldn't smell anything after I applied the BB Cream to my face.

Coverage - The coverage was matte, and light coverage. I applied it twice to my nose and chin to hide the blemishes.

Longevity - I wore it through out the day, I found my nose started to shine. Lots of oil on my nose, when I dabbed my nose with a tissue to get that shine off, a little of the product came off. Other than that, no other problems.

Price - I see this BB Cream being sold at Countdown and other supermarkets. I haven't brought any other BB Cream to compare. So I wouldn't know.

Packaging - It's easy to just pop into your handbag. The product does spill out the top, there is no need to squeeze any out as it will just ooze out.

Results - I will either have to find out where they stock a different shade or find another BB Cream that has a darker shade as it's too light.

Recommend to friends? Sure, they might even find it works better for them.

I have oily / combination skin so I was really excited to try this product. I was given the light shade which suited my skin well.

It is super easy to apply, but I will note that when I first opened it it splattered all over the place so I had a bit of mess to clean up! The consistency is very light which makes for a light coverage. Normally I would go for a more medium - full coverage, but this was a nice change.

Because it was such a light coverage I found it didn't last the whole day and I had an oily forehead and nose at the end of the day.

I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes a light coverage, but it probably won't be replacing my everyday foundation.

This wasn’t the first time I have tried a BB cream, I wasn’t overly hopeful as I am used to full coverage foundation however I gave it a whirl. I work shift work, often starting early so I love easy application at the hour of the morning. Literally squirted out (careful comes out quick!) blobbed some around my face and blended in with clean hands, viola. Done. I have pale skin, often get redness on cheeks, dry areas around eyes and on forehead but then oily T-zone. I’m a nurse so in and out of steamy showers, under pressure often getting hot and flustered and long store short – the BB cream was still there at the end of the day. Like I said I usually wear a full coverage foundation – I was happy with the coverage. I had no dryness. No more oil the usual on my T Zone (when not applied under foundation) and covered by red cheeks. I did apply under foundation, an found my face felt oily and heavy all night. Summing up – totally recommend as a light, everyday reliable coverage

I have never liked Bb Creams, I have tried two different ones and I've always found they just sit on the skin, even with setting powder they haven't given a nice finish. This is completely different though..it sunk into my skin much like foundation and my skin is pretty clear (besides a little recent scarring) and it made it look really clear. It suggested to apply another thin layer over any areas that aren't covered, so I did this and found I didn't even need concealer! It's very matte (which I love as I have really oily skin) and because it's such a light liquidy texture I found it sunk into my brush which was actually really good for application! I pressed a little harder to get product then blended out lightly with my brush. I have found after wear it for just over 8 hours with no touch ups it has seperated around my nose and has a slightly cakey appearance in this area..but touching up during the day would probably help this. I find this BB Cream is like a foundation but super light in texture. Definitely recommend!

I didn't think that i would like this product as much as i have! The liquid (and i say liquid as it is seriously runny) has so much more coverage than i was expecting. This is easy to build up to a more fuller coverage if needed, and stays put for quite a reasonable amount of time. (not all day, but a fair chunk of it.) It didn't break me out or dry out my skin, both factors i was concerned with before trying it. I found that it was easily blended onto the skin and sat nicely through out the day, never creating an oily mess. The only "downside" to the bb cream for me was that it has quite a yellow-ish tinge to it, where as my skin is more pink. Wonderful for a quick face fix, or on the go.

A little bit too dry for my skin, and also a bit darker than I expected based on the website and the BB cream that I already had. Despite this, I could tell it was a great product and it did what it said it would.

Firstly, my skin is mildly oily so I definitely dont want to use any products that will make it worse (and this was great!) the consistency is quite runny and at first feels quite oily however when it sets into your skin it looks dewy (wouldnt say it has a matte finish as described).

I applied it both with my fingers and with a brush - definitely preferred the finish with the brush but its wearable when applied with fingers alone. The coverage is really good for a BB cream, similar to a light-med coverage foundation, so it looks great alone for when you dont want to wear foundation, I also wore it with a bit of powder on top to extend the wear (lasts a few hours this way) and under my foundation as a base which gave my foundation a better finish and also made it last all day.

Didnt notice any smell, and the package was appealing and it retails for less than $20 so I'll definitely be buying it again.

I was skeptical about this to start with a name like Miracle Skin Perfecter, thats a pretty big claim. I was pleasantly suprised! I love this product, it does exactly what it says it does. It feels light on the skin but gives you great coverage - I found no need to apply another layer and would happily leave the house wearing only this unlike other BB creams I've tried. It even sits well with foundation and powder over top for the whole day. This will definitely be a regular in my make up drawer
