Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

This is the first BB cream I have tried. Being fair skinned with freckles, redness and acne scarring I did not consider myself a BB girl. I always opt for full coverage foundations and only recently after dulling my acne scarring through skincare, have I been able to put down my concealer. I decided to use the BB cream before my liquid foundation, as a lot of girls had mentioned this technique. I applied one thin layer, stood back and admired my reflection. All redness was gone, most of my acne scarring was covered and the colour and coverage was even, matte and smudge proof. On a day off I would have been happy to head to the shops with simply BB cream and mascara, a sentence I never would have imagined myself writing. I do have to wear full coverage makeup to work so I continued my initial path and applied a thin layer of foundation (Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse).

This is where I got a beautiful surprise. Since wearing makeup I have always completely covered my freckles. Not because I don't like them, but because they are duller than my acne scarring, so when I cover the scarring, my freckles end up hidden too. I don't know how it happened, but by layering the Garnier BB cream with a thin layer of foundation, my acne scarring and redness was covered but my freckles were lightly dotted around my nose. I have never been so happy with my face! My skin was glowing, yet still matte and the coverage was absolute perfection.

I had a busy day at work, from 9-5.30 and I didn't reapply any powder or use blotting sheets. I caught a quick glimpse of my reflection when reapplying my lipstick and was impressed to see that the colour and coverage had remained the same. When I checked my reflection at 6pm, it looked almost exactly the same as when I had applied it that morning. There was no oiliness, nothing had rubbed off and nothing had gone patchy.

The Garnier BB cream is a beautiful product, which I never thought would have a place in my routine. I will not hesitate to continue to use the combination of the Garnier BB cream and foundation, and will use the BB cream on its own on my days off. I feel like I am no longer hiding my skin or wearing a mask of makeup. My skin looks flawless yet natural and I continues to do so throughout the day. Unfortunately the 'light' shade only matches my fake tan, so if I decide to stop fake tanning during winter I may need to look at other options. Overall, I highly recommend this product, even to those who think BB cream isn't for them.

I purchased the original Garnier BB cream way back when it first came out, and I hated it. While the coverage was good, it made my skin feel like an oil slick and after an hour in the sun, I was almost slimy, not to mention that the shade was too light for my skin and made me look like a ghost.

I was excited to try one suited specifically for oily skin. I also chose the medium shade hoping that it would better suit my skin colour.

When I first opened the lid, it spewed out in a continuous flow everywhere and I had to put the lid back on quickly to make it stop. It is a very light, creamy texture, and goes on and blends beautifully. It has very good coverage and my red acne scarring was quickly lightened. However a good concealer or foundation over it should do the trick. I was disappointed to find however that the medium was too dark for my skin, and almost orange in colour. In saying that, I applied it on half of my face and noticed that it made my face appear thinner. While it is dark, it can be worked with, and you can probably use it as a contour.

It stayed on all day, although I noticed that when I touch my face or fumble with it - which I often do, it comes off ever so slightly on my fingers.

I also love the thin, small size, which is perfect to pop in the handbag for on the go - to use on touchups through out the day.

While it is a good BB cream, I have used other brands that have given me much better results. There are only two shades possible and neither one of them worked for me. I ended up mixing the medium with the light on the back of my hand and applying it on with a foundation brush to get the right colour.

I was very excited to try out this BB Cream. I have never really been into BB creams as most I have tried have only had a whitening effect on my skin. My skin has always been dull with uneven skin tone, acne scars, redness and a big birthmark under my eye. I have always been more into heavy, full coverage foundations but I thought I would give this a go and it could surprise me.

I have used it for a couple of days. I now have a love-hate relationship with this BB Cream. First of all I will tell you what I loved about it:1) Long Lasting- It literally lasted all day from 7am-9pm! I am so impressed. It stayed oil free as well. 2) Matte Finish. 3) Color Match- I got the shade medium and it is the perfect shade for my skin. 4) Use it alone as a foundation- I have been using this BB Cream as a foundation and loving it. 5) Covers Imperfections- It covered all my acne scars, discoloration and redness. The only thing it didn't cover is my birthmark but that is very hard to cover up. 6) It left my skin looking and feeling healthy and it minimized my pores.

On the other hand I did find a few flaws in my opinion. As soon as I opened it the product went everywhere! Literally. The texture is so watery, I was expecting it to be more creamier texture. The BB Cream also took a while to set and it was transferable in that time (to my phone, fingers, clothes etc) So I recommend letting it set into your skin properly before touching anything. Also I found it difficult to remove as it sunk into all my pores, nothing an exfoliater or good cleaner cant fix though.

I believe this BB Cream lives up to all it claims to be. (Shine control and matte effect, Reduces pores & imperfections, Evens tone and boosts healthy glow, Hydrates and UV protection) I am impressed.

Overall I give this BB Cream a 4/5 and It has found a place in my daily routine :)

The only other BB cream I've tried before this one was the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream which was my go to before I tried this out. I have to say that this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream works so much better for me, I think I have a new go to product. I love the packaging of this product because the tube is quite slim so it is definitely beneficial for people that want to have it on the go in their purse or make up bag and the shiny gold brown colour gives it a fresh look. It doesn't have a noticeable scent at all and it is a very thin liquid but has very good coverage. I use it like I would use a moisturiser and apply it with my fingers and it blends really easily and adjusts to my skin really nicely and I found that it is very buildable as it doesn't cake up on my skin. It dries to a matte finish but not so matte that my skin is left looking flat and dull, it gives me a natural glow. It is very smooth on my skin and feels very lightweight. I have quite a few imperfections on my skin with the acne scarring being the major issue but with this the appearance of my pores, my acne scarring and my under eye circles are reduced really well. I wore it underneath my foundation and it gave my foundation a more flawless finish and made my skin look so much healthier. My skin requires the extra coverage so the second time around I used the Benefit Porefessional primer, concealer, powder and liquid foundation but this product did the job surprisingly well the first time I tried it on it's own as well. It lasts the whole day without shifting or melting away and even though my skin is quite dry during the winter season this product still allowed me to look healthy and radiant. I didn't have to do any touch ups. The only negative about this product is that there are only two shades, I used the medium shade because it was the darkest shade available and that was too light for my dark skin which was another reason for me having to put on the foundation over the top but I would still use it again and again and again because I enjoyed it.

I received the Oil free BB Cream in Medium colour. Being a little sceptical at the claims this BB cream could provide instant results I wanted to start using it straight away! So I did! Opening the courier bag was the Garnier BB cream in a slender box, going of the box presentation alone I would not buy this product. To me the box is extremely over cluttered and busy. I think to appeal to the eye more it could be modernised a bit and remove some of designs\writing on the box.

Opening the box and taking out the BB cream for the first time I unscrewed the cap ready to try it out, the cream oozed out without me having to even squeeze the tube, quickly trying to catch it all, I placed several spots of cream on my cleansed unmoisturised face. It rubbed and blended in effortlessly. My face felt soft and moisturised instantly. My skin had a lovely matt look and it really covered a couple of breakouts I had perfectly. I had planned to use it as a primer under my foundation for my day ahead but I was so happy with the results on its own so applied a little blush and mascara and that was my makeup for the day. Now my day consists of running around after my two gorgoeus boys who are 1 and 2 and normally results in a oily shiny face! So by midday I checked in the mirror and my skin was still looking and feeling the same as it did when I had applied the BB cream almost 6 hours ago! Very impressed! Normally by this time my foundation would be wearing off and I would be shiny! That night we had plans of going out to dinner with family, so after my shower I applied a little face moisturiser and then the BB cream, on top of that I applied my foundation, my foundation glided over the BB cream and my skin looked evenly tonned with a nice glow, no red spots no blemishes - nothing! It was flawless!! I was impressed yet again!! I felt pretty and ready for a fun night with the family!

The following day I used the BB cream again on its own, applying a little moisturiser first. Now I never go into town shopping without my makeup on so it was a big deal for me to go with just the BB cream and some mascara. But it felt lovely and light and fresh. My skin has a lovely matte appearance but still a nice glow to it. Its stayed like this all day, no need or want to reapply or put foundation over the top. Today I've applied just the BB cream again on its own. And have noticed today my skin seems tighter or firmer to touch. It felt silky too so obviously my skin is loving the mineral goodies contained in this fabulous cream!

I'm going to admit I'm a new BB cream fanatic!! I love it! I love not having a cakey, thick makeup, shiny face anymore!! My skin feels soft, moisturised and it can breath! No more blocked pores for me! Can't wait for summer! This will be all I need (plus my mascara of course)! I love that it has some sun protection also! When I first opened package which was sleek and elegant tube found consistency runny with oil type feel and fragrance smelt of vanilla with a hint of alcohol but upon application it worked well with hand but tried flat top foundation brush to make blending easy a classic foundation brush leaves streaks. BB cream dried with powdery matte finish and didn't stick to dry patches, has soft velvet smooth finish did not fade or crease though out a days wear. Would recommend BB Cream looks great, feels great and at a affordable price

I received the BB cream in Medium. Upon opening the box and admiring the the beautiful oft and tiny bottle i opened and realized that maybe I was intact more a "light" than a medium. never the less after my shower i tried the BB cream out. the consistency was really runny and this surprised me i have always had really thick BB creams. I put the BB Cream (probably too much as it flows out of the bottle) onto the top of my hand and just used my finger to dab it a bit on my hand then rub it in on my face. It was so easy to blend with my fingers and its coverage is amazing. I built it up in some places to reduce redness and it did so well. I am a user of fake tan and after a fresh tan this medium color worked perfectly on me. After wearing it for about 16 hours i checked myself before i removed it and i still looked just as flawless as i did when I put it on. This product is amazing and I would almost compare it to a light coverage foundation, thats how well it covered my skin. It left me with a slightly dewy finish but was still quite matte.

So, at first I was quite skeptical about trying this product. I had purchased the shade in medium, and it was far too pink for my skin. But alas, I put my hand up to try it in Light, its free so what do I have to lose right? So, the packaging is nice and simple, the ingredients are on the back, along with instructions on how to use the product. The consistency of the product is quite runny, you have to keep your eye on it otherwise it will run away on you. The light, is no where near as pink, and has more orange undertones, which suits my skin colour. The product goes on smooth, and actually has pretty good coverage for a BB cream. It leaves a nice healthy dewy look. This BB cream doesn't break up on my forehead, nose or chin, and seems to control the oil in the places where I need it. My only gripe is that it does rub off quite easily, even when paired with setting powder or a good primer. All in all, its a fairly good product for a reasonably good price. I would recommend trying the product out somehow before you buy it, as even though you might be a medium in one product doesn't mean you'll be a medium in this product.

I was about to buy some BB cream before I got picked for this review so I am stoked!! I'm a busy mum I have 2 little rat bags so I'm always on the go this cream is great. I have a "porcelain" tone and my skin is combination so can be dry and oily at the same time. I wash my face like normal apply some toner then apply this amazing cream with my brush. Only need a tiny bit as it has quite a runny consistency so a little goes a long way! The colour is great it is a nice shade which matches my skin beautifully it doesn't have a punk or yellow tone like a lot if the other "light" tinted moisturisers. It has a really nice natural coverage and feels so light! Just feels like moisturiser. The coverage lasts all day which I find amazing!! I love this product and I will be buying it after this tube runs out! THANKYOU for letting me trial this product!

AMAZING PRODUCT!!!!, i normally have a really oily Tzone, but this product mattifies my skin and kept my Tzone oil free for over 8hours!! it evened out my skin tone and is a nice light consistency that makes you feel like your not wearing anything at all. Ive tried the other garnier bb cream which made me oranage, so i was quite skeptical when i got this! but i will be using this everyday now!
