Garnier BB Cream

I was surprised at the lack of coverage. I do not often wear a lot of make-up so was a little shocked at how thin and smooth it was going on. Not sure if I would go out and buy this. I do like the packaging and it smells nice. I can see that it would be great for some, but it just not my kinda of coverage etc.

A LITTLE EXTRA HELP

So the package arrived in the mail....time to unwrap it.....first impressions, there is a lot of information on the box!

I read through the information - it's very informative.....but what does B.B. mean? I can't find it anywhere on the box, I'm as curious as anything now to know what B.B. stands for!

Okay so it's time to check out the statement ".....instantly flawless skin." I have reasonable skin for someone of my age (it's 42 boo) however I do share my face with a few freckles and maybe a few more wrinkles that I would care to admit. I rub on the cream.....first impressions? I LOVE IT! Why?

- It smells good, but not strong smelling. - It comes out at a reasonable rate from the tube. - You don't appear to need much to create a perfectly acceptable 'light touch' to your face - It's creamy, so spreads more evenly across the contours of the face using a sponge and/or your fingers if you are running late for work like I was and couldn't find 'my tools' anywhere. - Price - I looked this up on the internet...wow! What a bargain for the instant 'pick me up' it delivers to you!

My initial findings appeared very promising so I delighted in finding that the results continued to remain this way day after day. Trust me when I say that I checked often throughout each day to see if B.B. cream built up in my wrinkles - AND NO! Massive plus! From the time I put it on first thing in the morning, until the time I finished my day, my skin continued to feel smoother, softer and if anything else it made me feel younger again! BIG BONUS....maybe that is what B.B. stands for?

Will I recommend this to others? You can bet your bottom dollar I will be, because what's not to like about a cream that actually delivers what it's very informative box promises you - ALL OF THIS FOR UNDER $18 = bargain of the century.

Tips: This is perfect for those of us for whom are in a hurry hence only have a light beauty routine to start the day with.

Big impact for little effort = Garnier B(ig) B(onus) Cream

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream - Anti Age

First of all thank you BR for selecting me as one of the lucky people to review this product. I am a "BB virgin" so I was unsure exactly what a BB was. I have normal skin with the odd upset now and again. My daily routine consists of cleaning my face and applying moisturiser. When it arrived I actually ignored the packaging as I wanted to see what the product looked like. I selected medium as I thought this would be the right colouring for me, have to say it was a little darker than I expected and the consistency was thicker than the foundation I used to use. Back to the packaging, it is eye-catching, with a brief on what the product does. As for the instructions it says 'apply just like your normal moisturiser", and so I did, bad move, it was the wrong colour, very thick feeling and felt like it stayed on the surface of my skin, and to top it off it rubbed off onto the collar of my black work vest, not cool. I came back to the BR page later in the day and went through the tips on using BB creams. In hindsight I should of read through these first. 'Light Bulb' moment, mix it with your moisturiser, this gave it a more even coverage and made it easier to apply, it gave my skin a nice healthy glow. A couple of days after using, wouldn't you know it I got sick, instead of looking washed out and blah, my skin still looked alive, all I did was added a little more BB cream to the mix. Normally in Winter my nose gets a little dry, since using this product I haven't had the need to apply more moisturiser in the middle of the day. As for reducing the appearance of wrinkles I'll see what happens after 4 weeks of use. I have taken a before photo and I'll take one again in 4 weeks to see if there is a noticeable difference visually. I don't think that I am able to recommend this product just yet as I have only been using this for a short length of time, maybe later on. As for purchasing again I will decide once I am near to finishing it. For now I am happy with it.

Tips: If the product is too dark, mix it with your normal moisturiser. Also you may want to apply using a damp sponge instead of your fingers when using straight BB cream, I got it under my nails which was annoying, every rub I scrapped a little bit off.

Garnier BB Cream - Anti Ageing

My first impression of the Garnier BB Cream was that the tube was much smaller than I was expecting but I have since realised that I don’t need to use much of the product to get the coverage I need. I also think that the price is very reasonable for this product. One thing I found was a drawback on my first day was that there were no directions for use on the actual tube and I had to go back to the packaging which I had left in the kitchen to find out how to use it. The colour that I was given – Medium, suited my skin perfectly and once I had worked out the correct amount to use, it absorbed into my skin nicely and gave me a slight but not overly noticeable change to my skin appearance. The packaging said that the Garnier BB Anti-Aging Cream would instantly and effectively fulfil all of my skin’s needs – reducing wrinkles, firm skin, even tone, illuminate complexion, correct blemishes, hydrate and protect the skin. I don’t think this happened instantly or within the four hours stated, and I personally would not expect to see an instant change in an older skin, so I think they should change the wording for this. I did see a slight change in my skin tone, it covered the blemishes slightly and hydrated and protected my skin because of the moisturising effect and it is meant to have sunscreen in it. I like the fact that it is paraben free, that is really important to me and overall my impression was positive for it to be used as part of my daily makeup regime, as it covers my skin with what would be the equivalent of a light foundation and moisturises my skin at the same time. In Summer it will be great as it contains sunscreen but I did not see the benefits of this now because it is Winter. It is possible that I will see the effects of the anti-aging claims with more prolonged use and will keep using it and probably for a long period of time.

Tips: Less is best. When I first starting using the Garnier BB Cream I found it was quite sticky and didn't absorb well. The next day I tried half of the quantity and it was perfect, so I realised I was using too much.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream - Anti Age

My skin is fair, tending to dry. The creamy texture of this product gives a light coverage, so it did not conceal my age spots, nor a red patch on the right side of my face. I initially tried applying it with my fingers, but I got better coverage applying it with a sponge. I used it both out-and-about, as well as at my workplace. I work 8 hour shifts in air conditioning, and by the end of my shift, my skin didn't feel tight, and lacking moisture. It has a perfume, which bothered me a bit, because I don't like perfumes in my make-up. The finish is sheer/matte. It came in a bright & shiny package promising a miracle anti-aging skin perfecter. As I have trialed this for only 11 days, I can't comment on the "anti-aging" claim. I would not buy this for myself, because, as I mentioned earlier, I don't like perfumed make-up, and I don't feel that it really lived up to it's claims.

Tips: Do use a sponge to apply, as it gives much better coverage

Garnier Anti-ageing BB review...promises much...

But does it deliver? Wellllll...let's face it, at the pricepoint it's in, it's highly unlikely it's going to just melt away the wrinkles, but it did give a slightly fresher appearance to my skin. It has a nice thick consistency which in turns becomes a reasonable coverage for a BB cream ( better than others I have tried) but still not what I would call a standalone foundation type of product. Smell was quite nice, not amazing, but pleasant. I found the lid on the tube a little less than perfect, but again, a remarkably cheap product for what it's actually delivering...(the week it arrived it was actually on sale for $10 a tube at the local supermarket) I found it kinda accentuated a particularly bad wrinkle I have (a squinting when I was a silly vain teenager and didn't want to wear glasses wrinkle), it was kinda more likely to crease there. Seemed ok though if I kinda blotted it a couple of hours after application. It lasts quite well too, especially when coupled with other things...(see my tip) my skin can tend to get dry and a little flaky by days end, but not at all with this. I work in heavy air conditioning and it seems to be able to stand up to this well. All round, pretty good bang for buck here, just don't go thinking its a facelift in a tube ;)

Tips: Best tip, if you are wanting foundation type cover, I like to pop this on first then a light dusting with mineral powder foundation seems to be bang on for my liking. On it's own it was great for the weekend when I normally like to rest my skin a bit and let it breathe...it sort of just blended out the blemishes leaving a natural look. Skin felt moisturised all day either way so if you're after a bit of a moisture boost this is great.

worth the $

Okey dokey received my BB cream very excitedly and pretty much ripped straight into it, the packaging is nothing spectacularly standout, I requested a medium but it did look quite dark when I squirted some out on my hand, thankfully it was a nice consistency as some I have used are watery from the get go. I applied it to face and was happy to see that the colour evened out and adjusted some what through the process. It needs to be said that I have literally tired nearly a dozen different BB creams so have gotten a handle on them and haven't been that impressed as someone who likes a lot of coverage I don't ever find them enough for me and this to be fair was no different. Definitely not enough coverage for me but I did like how even it went on and it did have a nice smooth and even finish and also had a nice dewy feel without being wet and sticky. So I decided to wear under my normal foundation which was a success. My makeup went over it perfectly and smoothly adding a little extra coverage and even tone to my normal look. It wore fine all day and even in the afternoon it stayed fresh no afternoon oily ness (as I often get). I don't know if I can honestly say I noticed firmness but my skin feels great after wearing it so I'm happy enough and I like the smell of it it's gentle but pleasant. All in all its a perfectly fine BB cream not necessarily the best I have tried but perfectly fine and worth the pric

Not so impressed

I have normal skin with what I expect at my age, a few wrinkles here and there so was excited to give this a go and see if it would be the miracle we all look for. I have been using it everyday now since I received it, I thought I would stop my usual skin care routine to see the full effects of the product. I found the cream was quite a thick consistency so by day 2 was using my primer again to help it spread which it did but still had a feel like I was wearing a mask, I did however like the medium colour, it was just enough coverage that I didn't need to add any other foundation. As for the wrinkles, well they're still there and to be honest don't think they have even slightly started to diminish but am not giving up on it yet as I believe it may need a bit more time to hopefully show any results. The smell was a divine fruity smell and lasted all day which was a plus. The packaging was ok, was a bit busy though with all the writing. All in all if they didn't make it so thick and if it would improve your wrinkles then I would probably buy it again but as it stands not this one.

Tips: Definitely need primer or moisturiser to help make it not go on so thick.

The Perfect BB Cream

A great little product that smells delicious! I used the Anti-Age cream and was really impressed. It was a perfect consistency to use & spread evenly over my face. I have quite dry skin too & I was surprised how moisturising it was. I love the fact too that it contains sunscreen.

Tips: It goes quite far, so you don't need to use as much as you think you would.

Garnier anti ageing BB cream

My skin type is normal but mature and I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this product. I have never used a BB cream before and I do not wear a lot of foundation or makeup so it was interesting for me to try this product on a daily basis. It was a small and attractively packaged product and I liked the way it fitted in the palm of your hand. I found the product to be quite a thick and gluggy consistency though when applying it directly to my face so I squeezed a small amount onto the back of my hand, rubbed my fingertip into it and then dotted it over my face and patted the cream into my skin. I found this was the easiest way to apply it. I had chosen the light shade and I was concerned that it might be too light as I have an olive complexion but I think this was the right shade for me. You couldn't really tell that I was wearing it so I thought that was great as I did not want to look made up. But I'm not sure if it did anything for me either as I couldn't tell if it made my face look any better. However, my daughter felt that my skin tone was more even so I guess that is a big plus! I am of a mature age, in my 50's and whilst I look younger than my age, I do have age spots, faint wrinkles and some creases. The product did not appear to reduce any wrinkles or make my skin feel firmer so this was disappointing but it may be early days yet as I have only used this for a short while. Because I found the product quite thick to apply, I feel it takes too long to apply as I did have some problems getting an even spread over my face so I would not use this on a daily basis. To me, it is not a moisturiser, but more a foundation, and I feel it has the characteristics of a foundation cream. I thought this product was a moisturiser and have treated it as such. What I didn't like, was if you wipe your forehead of perspiration, it leaves a brown watery residue on your fingers which makes me think this is more of a foundation with a rich moisturiser. This product does not suit me to use on a daily basis because I am always at the gym. It did keep my skin hydrated even though it was difficult to apply at first so it certainly gets points for hydration. As for the anti ageing part, this will take more than one week to prove. I thought the fragrance was pleasant enough and the finish was more matte and natural for me. I only applied one coat but for me, that was enough as I don't like to wear too much on my face. It lasted all day and I do think it is value for money if you compare it to the price of a foundation. Even though it did not deliver on everything it said it would, overall, it is not a bad product.

Tips: A small amount goes a long way. Apply some to the back of your hand and then dot over your face and pat with your fingertips.
