I received the Garnier BB Sensitive and was pleasantly surprised at the packaging and bottle. It has clearly on the package what it is supposed to achieve, that it is hypoallergenic (which I definitely need) and it was a aesthetically appealing design. However, when I started to use it, I was not so impressed. The consistency is really nice, however that's about it. To be fair it is nice and smooth, and a little goes a long way. Coverage-wise I found it to be a medium coverage, and it did even out my skin-tone. HOWEVER, within 5 minutes of applying my face was on fire and I had to remove it due to the irritation. This doesn't even happen to me on some normal-skin based products, so for it to happen with one that was designed for SENSITIVE skin was a real negative. If you have normal skin, im sure this would be good as it does everything else and the scent is pleasant enough, however if you have sensitive skin, I would highly recommend steering clear.

Tips: Remember, a little goes a long way, so apply to the cheeks/ T-Zone first with a small dab using either a brush or beauty blender to get the easiest coverage/blend. Reapply if you like it a little thicker :)
I have tried the Garnier BB cream in the past and it was ok but had nothing on the original Asian BB creams.
I was looking forward to trying one suited to sensitive skin. I was pretty disappointed to be honest. Tried it several times throughout the trial using a beauty blender, brush and hands but nothing made it work like it claimed. A BB cream shouldn't take this much work to apply and look good on the skin. It would sit on top of my skin and never really soaked in, I could see the mineral pigments sitting on top of my skin and this made it look patchy.
I felt like I couldn't wear this out of the house especially because it ran far too pink and a little dark for my skin tone - I am a NC15 in MAC. I have dry, sensitive skin.
I like the tube, smell and texture of this product but I found it gave me acne in my t-zone and cheeks after the first use, i tried it for a week and now ive got acne and am spending a week makeup-free to settle my skin down. I rubbed this product on like a moisturiser/sunscreen but found it sat on the skin and was very easily wiped off. Also if i had any products on under it (zoner, moisturiser) i found it clumped together and just slid off. When i did manage to put it on so it looked ok there was still redness showing through it which was a shame. But it did make my skin tone on the whole look more even. Unfortunatly i was also left with dry patches of skin on my cheeks and around my eyes after using this product. It feels like a cheap alternative to foundation/sunscreen and I felt that actually using the individual products this on claims to be would be more beneficial..
Tips: Dont use if youre gonna put on a white shirt!! Haha
My skin is light in colour, dry with a slight oily t-zone. I tried applying it three different ways. My preferred method for my skin is a foundation brush but doing this just moved the product around the skin. Using the sponge was patchy. Using my fingers was better but it didn't really do a lot for me. It may be because I prefer more coverage than the BB Cream provided. Although I would not purchase this product, I did like that it was not heavy and did seem to give my skin a bit of a glow.
Tips: Be careful of the runny texture, its easy to use too much.
After using the Garnier anti-aging BB cream and loving it, I decided to give the sensitive formulation a go, as my skin was going through a sensitised phase. This cream went on unevenly and seemed to sit on top of my skin stubbornly refusing to be absorbed. I was forced to remove the unsightly mess. I will stick with the anti-aging formula in future.
My skin must be bad as it does nothing for my skin it makes me so ugly I can't explain it. My face looks patchy and I look like an ompa lompa not cute
When I got the Garnier BB cream I noticed first that the tube was rattling around inside the box. If no packing is used then maybe a better fit box or just do away with the box totally.
Pop open the cap & do the sniff test. It has fragrance (sensitive skin normally reacts to fragrance so weird!) On the box (I'm no chemist) but I couldn't see fragrance added. I noticed alcohol. Sometimes it can sting.
Anywhooo I squeeze out some onto my finger. Looks dark! I had the medium. Rubbed between fingers and felt thick and smooth. Put on my clean moisturied face. It seemed to melt onto my face. I switched to a blender for a better coverage. Colour matched perfectly. I noticed a sensation on my skin, not a sting or fizz, just a sensation which I ignored.
It felt like I had moisturiser on. I snapped a pic after a hour to see how it looked. To me it was a day, soft cover. I can clearly see my skin underneath. At around the 3 hour mark I felt like I needed to remove it.
That night there were red blotches on my face (thought it was just my skin playing silly buggers) In the morning I woke up to a VERY angry, red, sore, fire leaping out of it skin! It was even weeping a clear fluid! Everywhere I had applied was sore. Eyelids, face and below jaw line. Long story short, doctors prescription, steroid cream and lots of cold face cloths later! It was like I had been burned but worse! (I have photo evidence)
I was gobbsmacked! I went over everything I had been near, applied and even eaten. It was the BB cream. To rule out the Garnier BB I applied to the inside of my arm (if I was going to react, it wasn't going to be my face again!) and right away I felt that weird sensation again. I immediately removed but heck I'm stuck with a itch/burn sensation.
Yes I have sensitive skin. I get eczema sometimes. My skin is dry. Never ever have I had a reaction to ANYTHING like this before. Whatever is in this needs to be removed.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I am going to offer this to others so it's not wasted (as long as they test before wearing!)
Tips: Absolutely do a patch test on the inside of your arm first!
The product arrived yesterday (little bit late) however i was eager to try this new Sensitive BB cream because i had reacted to the normal BB cream with extreme hives!. I wanted to test this on my jawline to see if anything happened to my skin, it was fine after one hour so i decided to apply a thin coverage over my face (avoiding my eyes). I really liked the texture of the product and what it did for my skin smoothing and evening it out. Not a heck of a lot of coverage as a stand alone product but i expected that.
After an hour my face started to burn, and redness started to show through the cream. Seems my face doesnt like this version either which is so disappointing! I haven't reacted to anything face wise before so now unfortunately i wont be using any more Ganier products. Thankfully have female flatmates so the product can be used up :) I can see the potential in this, but its just not for me.
Tips: If you have a reaction, remove ASAP, with a soft cloth to avoid aggravating the skin. Keep products off your skin until the redness is gone and apply aloe vera gel to soothe.
I am not a huge fan of this stuff at all. I received the Sensitive/Light version after and it was both too orange for me and made my skin burn. My skin isn't extremely sensitive so I was surprised that it reacted in this way.
It smells overwhelmingly like sunscreen and feels greasy on my skin. I took it off about five minutes after putting it on because I was concerned about the burning sensation it caused.
I would not buy this or recommend it to a friend, but I have heard good things about the oily version. I have tried both the Missha and Lioele BB creams and both of them are far superior to this poor excuse for a tinted sunscreen.
Tips: Buy a Korean BB cream instead.
I recently tried another BB cream which was slightly more pricey so I was looking forward to receiving this one.
As soon as I put it on my face I knew it wasn't for me. It seemed to just rub off my face as I applied it and sadly I found that throughout the day it got even worse, I rubbed my chin at one point and noticed it rubbing off onto my hand (looked like dirt...which it wasn't!).
I also noticed that if I was flustered or got even a little warm, it pretty much just melted.
I need a BB cream which stays put, not necessarily high coverage, but just one I can rely on without having to worry about.
