Garnier Fructis Macadamia Hair Food Shampoo comes in a dark brown container, it's a great shape and will stand on its head when almost finished! Whilst the lid is tight to 'pop' it means no chance of wastage if the bottle is tipped over. The fragrance is very 'clean' and subtle, a hint of fruit.
This shampoo (and don't use too much, it's very economical) disperses on to wet hair very easily, it lathers quickly into a fine foam and spreads readily. One good massaging wash and my hair felt sufficient clean and after that the product rinsed off easily.
The marriage of the shampoo and conditioner seems perfect, my hair felt soft, manageable and looked almost sparkling.
I think these containers will last a long time, at this early stage I cannot comment but I have barely dented the supply!
I trialed the Hair Food Macadamia shampoo in combination with the matching conditioner. I tested the shampoo out three times together and found that it did not suit my hair type. I have wavy, combination hair with dry ends. I found that both the shampoo left my hair dryer than normal and caused it to tangle and become really knotty. All three times it left my hair looking oily on the scalp and dry on the ends. The shampoo has an amazing smell, it is really sweet with a hint of macadamia. You do not have to use a lot of the shampoo, a little goes a long way. The shampoo lathered really well and felt nice when in the hair, it also washed out really easy. Sadly, I do not think that these products worked on my hair type and would not recommend for someone with my type of hair.
