Versace Bright Crystal

Its light, fresh and fun - it is sweet if that isn't your thing try it first but I am drawn to sweet smelling perfumes. I often get compliments wearing this and stubbled across it by mistake. I found it when it I was waiting for a flight in duty free and it has been apart of my frances ever since.

After saying I wouldn't come back to this I changed my mind (I am female forgive me) and bought another (actually I made a friend going to oz get it for me duty free - yusssss) because EVERY TIME I wear this and I mean every time, someone compliments my perfume and asks what I am wearing. Sucker for compliments and the other day my friend complained I had changed my perfume. So I tried this again.

And I am happy to report me and my crystal are going on dates again (but only on the evenings).

I have a 90ml of this and have always like it's bottle I mean the liquid is pink and it has a giant crystal on top. What is not to like?

Unlike other fragrances by Versace that I've tried, this one didn't seem to last that long on the skin. The scent is quite strong at first, but sadly fades quickly. Having said that, it smells fantastic, very flowery and light!

I would say that this scent is definitely fresh but more of a cool fizzing fresh like a delicate, sensual cocktail laced with drinkable flowers. I also prefer this over its sister scent, yellow diamond (which is still nice but a bit more pungent on the florals).

I have not smelt the EDP so can only speak for the EDT so I can only assume that it is a bit lighter then the EDP. But I don't think I would like this scent any heavier.

I also think that the name doesn't really set the scene for the perfume, I guess I wouldn't associate flowers and pomegranate notes to crystals.

I got this as a Christmas pressie along with V&R bon bon. At the time bon bon was my clear favorite although bright crystal is really growing on me. Its a bit more sophisticated and I prefer it for the more "grown up" occasions. Its classy and subtle, a great addition to my collection.

The bottle is what caught my eye. It perfectly matches its name (crystal) and is really nicely made. The smell itself is floral fresh to me, with a bit of depth. The scent lasts around 3/4 hours before I respray but I personally like to be able to smell a strong hit of perfume on me. I got this in a perfume swap and Im glad I got it. Its not my go to perfume but its up there in my floral range.

Versace's Bright Crystal is the first perfume people think of for me with a name like mine. Like the name suggests, this bottle is very crystal inspired as is the rest of the range with a large plastic 'crystal' as the top of the perfume bottle, then this one has a square pink body. Out of the range the clear and pink colour combination is my favourite.

The perfume itself is a fruity/floral with notes of yuzu, pomegranate grains, lotus, peony and mangolia. For me, only the fruity really came through, I could mostly just smell the yuzu, which is a Japanese citrus fruit and I felt it was a little bit of a synthetic citrus scent.

The perfume does however smell pleasant, but it doesn't have quite the range in scent I expected, what is there is however very robust.

In terms of longevity, I would say it lasts the standard time expected of a designer perfume.

Would I buy it for myself. no. But I would be delighted with it as a gift.

I love the design of this bottle with the large clear crystal lid on a square bottle with the pink perfume adding a feminine touch to the overall design. The perfume sprays on light and but unfortunately the first smell I get are the aldehydes but then the perfume transforms into a beautiful garden of peonies which saves it from being yuk. I also smell a hind of fruitiness as well although I can't quite pick up what the fruit is. This is a gorgeous fragrance that I had previously ignored in my stash until now and with the weather warming up I can see that this is definitely one that I'm going to be wearing more often. No too powerful and yet still has enough body to be noticeable.

I love love love Versace as a brand, but I will give this review un-biased. This perfume makes me feel like a princess. I don't think I could wear this more than 50% of the time since it doesn't go with any dark coordinates in my wardrobe, but it is PERFECT for princess-style or super girly outfits. It's young, light, and perfect for spring ~ Perhaps you may find it a little strong when you first spray it, but it lasts really well! Basically: not for everyone, but if you like this type of scent then definitely get it!
