Tips: Dont apply with fingers because your fingers will absorb your foundation azwell soo use a synthetic foundation brush to ensure you get the most out of your foundations :)
I have used this foundation for quite a while in 'Buff' for dry/normal skin, which is PERFECT for my natural pale skin.
The packaging is simple and sleek and I am so happy it comes with a pump! The formula its self is great and can be buildable with a great consistency (not too thick but not watery either), I prefer to apply with a damp beauty blender. I find one layer creates a flawless base to any makeup look. It is very long wearing and is perfect for long work shifts.
The only downside for myself is that Revlon is quite pink based with their undertones and whilst buff (neutral base - to slightly more yellow toned) is perfect for my natural skin, I cannot get one to match when I am tanned which put me on an adventure to find another holy grail. Apart from that I still own it and will repurchase it again as its perfect for my non-tan days!
This is my absolute favourite drugstore foundation! The coverage is amazing, it hides all my blemishes and discolouration without looking caked on. This foundation has lasted me a good 9 hours with the Revlon powder. I've never had a chance to find out if it would last a full 24 hours but I don't think anyone needs their foundation on for that long. Only downside is all the foundations are slightly pink/cool toned so being someone with olive skin, it was a bit difficult to find my perfect shade.
This is by far my holly grail foundation of all time. there is such a wide variety of color ranges to choose from. And I would say it is defiantly a full coverage foundation that has a flawless semi dewy finish on my skin type. however i don't believe it is true to the fact of long lasting, it doesn't last more than 8 hours with starting to fade. even with a face/foundation primer
Tips: to make it last longer, pair it with your favorite concealer
I love revlon colour stay I use it for my everyday foundation has pretty good coverage I have freckles and it covers them pretty well it blends easily and builds well without giving off that caked look and is affordable price even better!
Tips: Use with revlon colour stay concealer
I started using this foundation over summer while off work, as I was getting tired of paying MAC and Estee Lauder prices. I was pleasantly surprised with the great quality for such an affordable foundation. This foundation is great, I found that 2 pumps gave me a perfect amount of product and the bottle has lasted me since Boxing Day and is only just struggling to pump now. The consistency is nice and it feels very light on your face when you apply it, it has very buildable coverage too so on break out days I feel good. It also doesn't have that smell that some foundations have.
My only real issue is that I still need to do touch ups fairly regularly on my dry zones , my nose in particular.
Tips: Pump some on your hand and apply with a flat top kabuki top for a great finish
I purchased this foundation because I had heard lots of people (including BR members on here) raving about how good it was and that it was a dupe for Estée lauders double wear foundation. And I am happy to say that I am now a fan. I have never tried double wear so I can't compare , but this foundation is high coverage which is buildable. If I set it with powder it lasts me a good 6-8 hours during the day.
The consistency of this foundation is quite thin, whereas most high coverage foundations I've used are quite thick. The thin consistency makes it easy to apply and blend into your skin. It also allows you to build up layers, and if you want a medium coverage you can just put a light layer on. I use a brush to apply this foundation, usually my stipple brush, and I find I get a perfect application that is not blotchy or streaky.
My bottle is the old packaging. It's a glass bottle with a screw lid. The new bottles now have pumps. At first I found the screw on lid annoying, but now I quite like it as I've gotten used to tipping the foundation out on my hand as I can get the right amount of product out. A pump can sometimes be hard to control.
This foundation range has lots of shades too which is good. It's really affordable and about half the price of double wear.
Overall I really like this foundation and the coverage I get from it. I would definitely purchase this again.
I have been using Revlon colorstay foundation since I was in high school. Its an amazing affordable foundation, with great coverage. I would compare it to a dupe for Estee Lauder double wear foundation. It gives the same amount of coverage - Medium to full. It builds nicely, without caking up in any areas. It lasts all day, without needing touch ups from fading, rubbing off, or sinking into fine lines. It also does not cause break outs. Although there are two formulas of this foundation - One for normal/dry, and one for oily skin, I find this dries down to quite a matte finish. The packaging is also very practicable, it comes with a pump and lid, which makes it non-messy to use and easy to take travelling. The shade range is also great.
This is my number one go to foundation. I love the way it blends in and the colour is perfect. Coverage is good and lasts most of the day. Downside is I dont think it lasts the full 24hours as it states it does, but who wants to wear make up for 24 hours! Added bonus is it also contains sunscreen.
Tips: I use a primer or bb cream underneath which helps the foundation to go on for a better coverage and last longer
I have been using this foundation for the past 4 years and I love it. I will often buy others to test out but always come back to this one. It doesn't dry my skin out and is long lasting. It covers well especially when used with the photoready concealer and powder and the combination on the three is perfect for me. It was discontinued and reformulated and I haven't actually noticed much of a difference in the formula at all. The range of colours is good also I have a summer one and a winter one and blend them in between as I lose my summer tan.
Tips: Having separate summer and winter shades means you can blend them to suit your skin tone all year round. Best used with a setting powder to make it last longer. 8+ hours
