70 Kissable

I found that my local Farmers had an Essence display (which is amazing because my Farmers store really is behind the times makeup wise). I had to grab a few things to try and this blush was one of them.

The pigment is amazing, and buildable. It's got a nice sheen to it that really reminds me of MAC Sheertone blushes. The Kissable (70) shade is a wee bit darker than my HG Blush, MAC Springsheen. It is very soft, nearly buttery and a light hand with application makes this a perfect every day blush. It is so smooth and finely milled - it really is on par with some of my high end products at pocket money prices.

It's such a lovely blush! I've been so impressed with the quality for the price of Essence products.

Essence has done it again!

Essence is a brand I've been hearing a lot about lately, and I can really see why. The Essence lipstick I recently got is a fabulous product for the price, creamy and such a nice formula.

This blush was another Essence purchase after being impressed with the lipstick. I chose 'life's a cherry' because it stood out to me and was so bright. I thought it would be great to venture into a different coloured blush than my usual subtle peache-based colours. I had recent,y watched a youtube video of Tanya Burr using a similar bright coloured blush, but in MAC. I thought this may be a good dupe and it has proven right!

The blush comes in circular cased package, simple yet stylish. The lid is clear so you can see the colour of the blush, handy and a good design.

This is yet another Essence product that impresses me, so pigmented and lovely to apply. As this colour is very bright, I get my RT brush and put my brush on the blush ever so lightly and then sweep a little over my cheekbones. Too much and it could easily go wrong with this colour.

Just a small amount, and it just gives me a lovely flush of colour on my pale skin. It is so nice for winter and just gives you a beautiful 'I've come out of the cold look'. Such a lovely, feminine glow to my cheeks.

Ah, essence you have done it again! Can't wait to add more blush colours to my collection and try out yet more products.

A great little blush at a great little price

I have been wanting to purchase this blush for yonks- the hype has been huge for this. I purchased the shades summer dreaming, and adorable. Summer dreaming is a beautiful coral pink with a little bit of a sheen. It is a teensy bit powdery but blends beautifully and is not too crazily pigmented. Adorable seems to be slightly more finely milled, and is a very natural looking baby pink. These look beautiful and natural applied, very much like a natural flush. Because they are more natural looking I don't think the longevity is as good as some other brands but is still really great for the price. Am keen to purchase more shades (they seem to have a lot more darker shades so if you are darker skinned there should be loads of options for you). Would absolutely recommend to others.

Impressed! Matches some high end blushes

My lovely friend TraineeMUA knew that I was lusting after some Essence products and kindly sent me a wee package with some goodies in it! One of the products was this Silky Touch Blush in 90 Summer Dreaming. It is a Beautiful pinky peachy blush that I was really really excited to try.

I'm in love with the Essence packaging. I know it doesn't scream high-end but I really think it is modern and classy. I also love the clear lid so you can see the product inside. Also it is extremely light weight and non-bulky so great for travel.

The silky touch name isn't for nothing! When you even just swatch it you get so much pigmentation. The product itself is really soft and beautiful. You really need a light touch with this and to knock the extra off your brush because it really picks up a lot. I accidentally used heaps the first time I used it ... but thankfully it blends beautifully into the skin and doesn't feel chalky at all! What a winner for the price. It also looks awesome on my pale skin (if I do say so myself). I found it lasted well during the day and I could still tell there was a wee bit left by the end of the day that impressed me.

This is a beautiful blush the even beats some of my high-end products. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone.

Silky Touch Blush

This blush feels amazing! as someone who hasn't experimented much with blushes I tried these on a whim. They are very pigmented and bendable! I just wish they had more matte colours

Good quality at an amazing price!!

I own this blush in the shade "baby doll". It's a gorgeous medium pink shade, with a little bit of shimmer. It is quite pigmented, but not so much as to make it tricky to use (which is good, I am no blush expert). This lives up to it's name of "silky touch", this has a lovely soft and silky texture and blends out very easily with a blush brush. It lasts pretty well, around 6 hours on me (and I have oily skin). I think it gives a nice healthy glow to my cheeks, and has become an almost every day essential for me- however next time I visit farmers I think I will have to pick up another shade- at less than $6 how am I supposed to resist? :)

Tips: I highly recommend this for anyone, especially those of you who aren't very familiar with blush- I think it's a great starter; as it is low cost and easy to use :)

Good, but not great

I purchased the shade 'summer dreaming' after I heard it was a slight dupe for NARS Orgasm. For the price I didn't really believe it was true but thought it was a good chance to branch away from my usual pink blush.

The shade is a lovely peachy pink with a slight shimmer, and can be built up quite nicely or used for a slight colour. It does give a very natural glow and was perfect to use over the summer.

However, it is quite powdery and a lot of it comes loose when applying and goes everywhere so I do need to be careful about putting a tissue down to tap off excessive excess from the brush as well as the compact.

For the price point, you can't really go wrong with this. One day I might splurge on NARS but for now, essence will do!

Bargain blush

I have the shade 40 Natural Beauty, which is a warm brown/pink/peach colour. It's a pretty good dupe/alternative to MAC Warm Soul blush if you have pale skin. The Essence blush is less warm and less sparkly so it appears much more natural on the skin, for me at least. The colour lasts on me all day, which I appreciate!

This colour makes a pretty blush, but my preference is to use it to warm up my whole face. Because of the pinky brown tones in the blush it makes an awesome bronzey colour on pale skin. It's also a good colour to sweep through your crease for a super easy, natural eye look.

I have swatched a couple of other shades of these blushes and found them to have quite a powdery consistency, but this one is not powdery in the slightest. It's such good quality for the price! Yes the packaging reflects it's price tag, it's just a simple plastic compact, but it's a pretty sturdy little thing. Speaking of packaging, I love how compact it is, it's perfect for travel. Highly recommend this shade!

Summer dreaming

What an awesome blush for such a small price tag.

I'd heard wonderful things about Essence but unfortunately where I live it isn't very easily accessible so a wonderful BR member sent me this blush in a very generous random act of kindness which was so touching!

Summer dreaming is a swirled baked type of blush that has hues of pink and coral that builds a wonderful just touched by colour look on my porcelain face, which at times heavy pigment blushes seem to just overpower. But this blush has hit the perfect balance.

Very easy to wear and leaves a lasting colour that stays in place for a good majority of the day. Being a powder with a cream like texture means it blends easily and only a small dusting is enough for a flushed, healthy glow to the cheeks.

Small and compact coming in a clear acrylic pan which combined with the rest of the product puts some higher end brands to same when they cost up to 4 times more than this brand but Essence brings the goods!

Great for the price!

I have this in a mauve shade and I use it almost every day. It's super soft and nicely pigmented. There is a nice amount of blush in the pan and I don't need to use a lot so it will definitely last me ages. I think these blushes are perfect for makeup beginners, it's not too pigmented so you're not going to end up with super colourful unblended cheeks. and they're cheap enough that you can buy a couple to find out which colours suit you!
