Essence is a brand I've been hearing a lot about lately, and I can really see why. The Essence lipstick I recently got is a fabulous product for the price, creamy and such a nice formula.
This blush was another Essence purchase after being impressed with the lipstick. I chose 'life's a cherry' because it stood out to me and was so bright. I thought it would be great to venture into a different coloured blush than my usual subtle peache-based colours. I had recent,y watched a youtube video of Tanya Burr using a similar bright coloured blush, but in MAC. I thought this may be a good dupe and it has proven right!
The blush comes in circular cased package, simple yet stylish. The lid is clear so you can see the colour of the blush, handy and a good design.
This is yet another Essence product that impresses me, so pigmented and lovely to apply. As this colour is very bright, I get my RT brush and put my brush on the blush ever so lightly and then sweep a little over my cheekbones. Too much and it could easily go wrong with this colour.
Just a small amount, and it just gives me a lovely flush of colour on my pale skin. It is so nice for winter and just gives you a beautiful 'I've come out of the cold look'. Such a lovely, feminine glow to my cheeks.
Ah, essence you have done it again! Can't wait to add more blush colours to my collection and try out yet more products.
I found that my local Farmers had an Essence display (which is amazing because my Farmers store really is behind the times makeup wise). I had to grab a few things to try and this blush was one of them.
The pigment is amazing, and buildable. It's got a nice sheen to it that really reminds me of MAC Sheertone blushes. The Kissable (70) shade is a wee bit darker than my HG Blush, MAC Springsheen. It is very soft, nearly buttery and a light hand with application makes this a perfect every day blush. It is so smooth and finely milled - it really is on par with some of my high end products at pocket money prices.
