Dove Beauty Bar Review

Strong smell, could tell it wasn’t natural in anyway. However, leaves hands smelling and feeling lovely

I am a body wash girl but have been trying various soaps lately. This is a nice, light, silky soap. Leaves skin feeling nourished and smelling nice.

Well to be honest, I don't really notice the difference between soap. There's nothing wrong with it. It doesn't hurt or smell bad so there's that.

I love solid soap bars and I buy this soap mainly for the fragrance and how it feels on the skin while in the shower. It's not a life-changing product but it always has a place in my bathroom. I buy the soap when they're on sale at The Warehouse for $NZD1.00 and I stock up on 10.

It comes in a simple cardboard box with the Dove logo which is also embossed on the soap. I only use the soap on my body; never on my face because I have sensitive skin and I have never liked the thought of putting soap on my face. It's the standard size and fits nicely into my hand.

It lathers up nicely and the fragrance it gives off under warm water is like clean fresh linen mixed with spring and bit of talcum powder - just delicious to my nose. I tend to get carried away and just stand there and keep lathering the soap because I can't get enough of the fragrance.

I feel the "moisturising properties" are more so limited to the shower. My skin feels moisturised and soft but afterwards I don't notice too much of a difference. This doesn't bother me because I moisturise my body a lot nowadays however for those hoping to avoid moisturising afterwards I don't think this is the soap you're after.

Following the hype of the Dove Beauty Bar a few years back I gave this bar a go hoping that it would be good for my combi/dry skin. Unfortunately I was wrong, after a few washes it seemed to strip the oily patches of my skin and leaving it all extremely dry and sensitive, this happened even with their sensitive type. As far as soaps go it does the basics of getting rid of the dirt and so forth, it also has a really nice fresh smell to it. However I used this on my Sydney Silky ( I hate to waste things) and it did wonders for her coat and skin.

I was lucky enough to use a few bars that came in a gift hamper. This is much nicer than regular soap as it didn't leave my skin too dry. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy this though. I can't justify the price when there are better or other products out there that are just as good. This is a good product but not good enough for me to use again and again.

I didnt find this anything special, it is slightly more moisturising than most hand soaps. But i wouldnt go raving about it to anyone. Although my partner loves it as he works with his hands alot and has to scrub at his hands so he finds it not so harsh on his hands and leaves them feeling moisturised

Really liked how this left my skin feeling soft and smooth. It is a bit pricey so I only buy when on special. Good product and does what it says it will.

I have used this soap on and off over the years. I mainly use shower gels now. But it still sits pretty in my guest bathroom. Its a white oval shaped soap with an embossed dove on it. Looks really clean (if you know what I mean?) and pretty.

I used it with my gloves. Very creamy lather and smells divine. Leaves my skin feeling silky but I still have to moisturise it later. I guess it depends on skin types. This was a luxurious brand back home and I used it to wash my face (bad habit) but didnt notice a marked difference. Just an overall softness-which might have been down to my youthfulness :-p

Also leave a fresh scent on your skin for a little bit.
