Cheap but not that practical

Another iherb order, another random product popped into my cart. I love brushes and when I saw this at $3 it was so easy to just pop it in with the rest of my goodies. One of my favourite brushes is a stippling brush (a MAC one) so I thought I couldn't fail with picking this up.

The brush itself has quite a long thicker light handle in matte black. On that the name of the brush is written in white. The metal ferrule is also shiny black and the hairs are black also with the white tips. The hairs are extremely soft. Because all the hairs are quite long they are very soft.

Personally I haven't actually found to many uses for it. I did find it great with a creamy blush as it creates a really diffused natural look. Also great for smoothing and blending out blush if you have applied too much. Because the hairs are quite flimsy is isn't great for moving around foundation. Also it is too big for me to do contour. And it doesn't pick up enough pigment for me to powder my face. I haven't had any problems with this shedding at all.

If you use cream blush regularly you might enjoy this brush, but I didn't find that many uses for it. But for the price it isn't that much concern.

I'm still waiting on purchasing a cream blush so haven't yet tried it for that, but like you, I've found no other use for it. I'm so confused about how it works for some people with applying foundation!

I feel the same way as you, I got this last year but hated it for foundation. Just recently I've been using it for cream blush. I can't figure out any other use for it though

I use for my foundation

I use this for applying my foundation and haven't had any issues with it. It's probably best to note that prior to this my experience with using any but a wet sponge with moisture mist or my fingers was null. I moisturise and prime my skin then apply a bit of foundation with my fingers and buff it in, using a blotting action rather than a painting action. I've found its been great for what I use it for and I don't have any lines or anything showing as it blends quite well. I paid $3usd from iherb for it and have no complaints. I've also cleaned it and it hasn't shed any bristles and feels as amazing as when I first brought it.

Tips: Apply foundation with fingertips first then work into your skin using a blotting action to eliminate the streaky look. When washing keep the bristles down at all times to stop water going up the barrel. This will reduce the chance of the bristles loosening and falling out.

elf Stipple Brush

I brought my elf stipple brush off iherb for $3, was such a great buy I couldnt pass it up. I use this as one of my foundation brushes (as Im lazy and cant be bothered cleaning my brushes everytime, so I have multiple) it works just as well as my other higher end brushes, doesnt clump and the bristles havnt fallen out all of a sudden which is great. This could also be used as a buffing brush if desired as well. Good sized brush as well, which is handy in any kit.

An OK brush

This brush was great after first use, then once I washed it it was over. It shed little by little, maybe ELF's brush shampoo doesn't gel well with a brush made from the same company? I have no idea. I liked this brush though, because it was just the right size for my face to stipple on liquid foundation and powder foundation, however the turn off was the shedding of bristles :( ugh* if the shedding didn't occur, I would totally love this brush as it applied my foundation evenly.

Tips: Just watch what you wash this brush with? Possibly a olive oil + baby shampoo combo would be better for the bristles? Not sure.

ELF Stipple Brush

I first bought this brush of IHerb for $3USD back when I was still becoming familiar to make up. For the price, it is such a good buy. I use it for my powders and for blending out my blush. It picks it up easily and disperses the product evenly. The bristles are super soft and it feels so nice on my skin. I haven't had any of the bristles fall out on me, even when I clean it. This brush definitely exceeded my expectations and for the price there is no reason why I wouldn't purchase it again

Elf stipple brush

I bought this brush from Iherb and have used it everyday ever since! Awesome for blush does not pick up too much product and blends well. Bristles are very soft and have had no shedding that I am aware of. Such a good price for a quality brush.

Great for blush

I use this brush for blush and I love it. It gives quite a subtle wash of colour, leaving you with the option to apply more or leave the colour minimal depending on what you're after. It blends well and gives an awesome finish using either powder or cream blushes! My holy grail blush brush.

Tips: Clean often, brushes always apply product better freshly washed :)

Low Price, Great Value

I bought this stipple brush off iherb a few months ago, and its been a great brush for my bb cream! By the reviews it seems most people use it for more powdery products (which I shall now rush to the bathroom and try!) but personally I've found it good for giving a light coverage of bb cream ove rmy moisturiser/primer.

I clean mine with the elf brush cleaner, and havent noticed much shedding, which I'll admit was something I was concerned about!

The versatility of this brush, and the fact it seems to be made for minimal coverage (which is totally my style) makes it a staple product in my make up kit. Another elf winner as far as I'm concerned

I really must try applying my bb cream with my foundation brush! I normally just use my fingers. Thanks for the tip :)

I use the Elf Stipple brush daily!

I bought this brush through iHerb and it's amazing! Especially for the price. I think this cos me like $4 :) my daily routine just consists of a bit of brow powder, mascara and a cheek tint. This brush blends out my cheek tint perfectly giving me a slightly "flushed" look. Love it! I also recently started using this to apply one of my ColourPop blushes and it leaves an almost airbrushed result. The bristles are super soft and I've experienced no shedding in the year or so I've had it. The brush always looks brand new after a wash also.

Tips: You've gotta try it! For the price bad quality, you would be crazy not to.

Elf Stipple Brush

The elf strippling brush has very soft bristles. I am not the biggest fan of this brush, i have tried it with liquid foundation and it just isnt dense enough for my liking it took me forever in a day just to apply my foundation and i had to use another brush to just buff it in to my skin more. I also have tried it with blush/highlighter and it was good for that as it didnt pick up to much product and gave me a nice soft highlight. Although it is good for a highlighting brush it's just something I dont use every day or even very often, so in my opion it was a waste of money as i had high hopes for it after hearing so much about strippling brushes! i brought mine off iherb for $4 so it was super cheap! I have had the brush around six months and i am still yet to see any shedding so its a great brush it just isnt the brush for me. I would still recommend to a friend as every one likes different brushes.
