Revlon PhotoReady Make Up

Well so I had super high hopes for this, I really wanted a decent foundation to give a flawless finish.

Ok so from a distance yeah looks great!

Up close ,so it's caked looking?

I've tried using very little product, still caked... I wonder if I was given old stock???

Too little coverage and too much shine

I brought this foundation in the shade vanilla when my usual colorstay was out of stock. I really liked the packaging and the pump dispenser was easy to control and use. The texture is creamy and easy to apply however i found that it lacked the coverage of colorstay and left far too much shine. I all for dewy skin but feltl like this was giving me an oil slick look. After finishing with pressed powder i still found the same thing. It didnt wear very well and after two hours found that most if it had slipped off. I will not be using this foundation again.

Not photoReady

Nope I wasn't PhotoReady with this foundation! I have the medium beige in 006. I probably like everybody else find the glitter/shimmer just over bearing I looked like I had been rolling around in sand all day after I applied this. It's such a shame too because it did have good points. It doesn't feel heavy oily or greasy. it is quite a runny liquid foundation so it is very easy to apply with medium coverage but you could easily add more or less. The pump bottle was good. The pump never got blocked or caked around the outside of the pump. It doesn't have much of a smell. I felt like my skin could breathe while wearing this. I did only use a small amount. with no primer or anything else afterwards. And I found putting it on at 8am most of it was gone by 3pm. So not ideal if you wanted it to last all day. It was very easy to remove I just used facial cleansing wipes and it all came off using them.

Tips: Try the Revlon age defy or Revlon colour stay before trying this

Patchy

The packaging is nice and simple and it comes with a little pump which makes it easy to get the right amount of product. During my time of using this I preferred to use a flat top brush to buff it into my skin as I felt with a damp beauty blender it became really patchy and created a terrible coverage.

I also found that throughout the day, even with setting it with a powder or setting spray it wore off quite unevenly giving you that patchy look again within a few hours. For the price I would definitely recommend to try the colourstay range, I only tried photoready as a shade 'nude' matched my tan perfectly.

I felt this was a medium/low coverage level, and I didn't like the finish it gave built up as it looked cakey very quickly, and gathered in your drier areas of your face. The formula itself is suppose to be more natural/dewy but I felt it was just a bit glittery rather than creating a natural glow.

Overall I would not call this photoready, I still have half a bottle and will probably end up throwing it out.

Not my favorite

Eh they say what works for some...

I bought this due to the cool pump that dispenses very little product at a time which i thought hey no wastage! The price was reasonable and as i already love the photoready primer i thought maybe.. just maybe i could share a little loving for this particular product.

I found the consistency to be that of most other foundations but when you put it on it feels really watered down, the coverage wasn't too fantabulous and all my blemishes were still clearly visible to the naked eye... eeeeek such low coverage how can it be???

I feel it was wrongly advertised as i didn't recieve 'the airbrush finish' and in fact looked like my face could do with a whole lotta photoshop to look 'photoready' in this.. :P

I do like the fact that it smelt like nothing, I can't stand overpowering smells on my face so that's definitely a plus. But unfortunately this isn't on my re-purchase list, and i actually don't think i will finish the bottle either...

Great except for the sparkles

This has great coverage, and the vanilla shade is the perfect super pale white tone with just enough yellow to work perfectly on pale old me - however the killer is the glitter it is so glittery it's unbearable for me especially in daylight it is just a disco ball of silver particles all over your face.

Tips: Remove the Glitter Revlon and I would buy bottle after bottle of this.

Will NOT repurchase

I am not a fan of Twilight and their sparkly vampires, so I don't want to look like one either. This is what I felt this product did. It was weirdly sparkly. Call it photochromatic pigments or whatever you want, but glitter is the best way to describe it! Not a fan of the shimmer, I like makeup to look natural, not shimmery and Cullen like!

Tips: Don't buy if you don't like to sparkle...and not in a good way!

I tend to agree! I used it this morning for the first time in a while and about an hour later I realised how sparkly my skin looked, almost oily looking, not impressed! I put some powder over top however and it seemed okay =)

The benchmark for ugly.

Im a bit of a foundation skank. I own far too many, I am faithful to none and try everything new that comes out.

Being as dry as a dad joke, I was interested in the promises of glow and lights within when purchasing this product. Turns out natural glow and glitter are on in the same.

This product is filled with glitter. Bug hunks of the stuff. Let me remind you that this is a foundation we are talking about... not a lippy or eyeshadow... Weird, Right?

Besides that odd addition the formula is also extremely cakey and clings to every flake on the skin.

It is my benchmark for ugly. Every now and then ill attempt to apply it with a new brush, or sponge... hoping this will save it. but it never does.

Tips: Avoid like the plague?

Do not buy

I bought this after being recommended by a friend. I had been looking for something 'lightweight, easy to apply, that's not going to affect my skin". She suggested this, but was wrong! I have since seen a couple of photos of me while wearing this and I am completely white, I look like a ghost... less than ideal. I think the glitter in it (yep, glitter) has actually reflected the light of the flash and made me shine... but not in a good way. What's worse, my skin, which is normally fine and gives me no worries or hassles, started drying up like crazy. I found that by lunch time I would always have dry flaky skin, and people even noticed!! Less than ideal. I ended up having to take my makeup off when I got home and apply moisturiser. I stopped using this and threw the rest out. It took a few weeks to get my skin back to normal since using it too.

Tips: Don't waste your money on this

relvon photo ready foundation

I wasnt particularly fond of this foundation. It was thin and light wearing and found it got patchy throughout the day and on my dry skin. I also didnt like the glittery look of the foundation i found it made my skin look oily

Tips: Dont use if you have patchy dry skin and apply throughout day
