e.l.f Mineral Infused Primer

For a first time primer user this was pretty great! It smoothed out areas that I did have large pores making them less visible when my foundation was one. However I still had a problem with dry/flaky skin in some areas.

I have to say though it made my skin feel amazingly soft and smooth.

I have never used a primer before, so I tried the e.l.f primer as a starter because of the price (only $6). The gel feels like silicone and I use only one pump to cover my whole face.

The primer makes my face really smooth (seriously like silk) and makes applying pressed powder a lot easier e.g. it spreads across my face more smoothly and evenly. It also makes my powder last a lot longer during the day.

I started using the primer with BB Cream and pressed powder. But I feel like it's a bit much with the BB cream as well, so I use the primer with powder when I am going for a more natural look.

Unfortunately I am not a fan of the smell (chemically) but that is covered up by the smell of pressed powder/foundation. I also don't really think it helps with enlarged pores and fine lines.

But for the price, it is definitely worth it if you are just looking to make applying makeup easier and make it last longer.

I have to say that the thing I love most about all elf products is how affordable they are. At only $6 you can't really complain. For the price this primer is great quality. I have the primer in clear and I've found that it has decent coverage, good consistency and gives you a smooth surface when applied. I've tried some high end primers before which are only marginally better and almost 7 or 8 times the price. For anyone looking for an affordable primer that is still really good quality I recommend this range (the colour correcting green one is also fabulous).

This is my favourite primer for everyday use. It makes my foundation last all day long and covers my (huge) pores on my nose and forehead. It helps my foundation to not stick to dry patches around my face as well because I have quite dry skin.

I know they come with green, purple and yellow primers as well so it's such a great range but I've yet to try out the other shades.

The packaging is so great too - it has a pump but the only thing with this is that sometimes it doesn't pump out evenly so you might get a lot in one pump then next to nothing in another.

It has a very silicone-y feel to the formula and it's not that lightweight (I can definitely feel it on the skin but with other primers like the Benefit Porefessional I can't) so if you aren't into that feeling you might not like this.

Overall it's a great product to ensure your foundation is long-lasting and it's good for everyday use, and the price is one you can't really beat.

I have the clear and the colour correcting green for when Im getting a bit of redness, I have quite dry skin and this helps give my skin the extra pep it needs.

For the price this is a good product The primer is a gel cosistency, but quite light in feeling, the texture is very smooth, but it sinks in quite quickly

My make up applies more evenly especially on my nose and forehead which are my driest areas, even my mineral make up goes on alot better too

I found that by the afternoon, my makeup looked as if it was sliding of my nose and was a little patchy and I needed to reapply my foundation, so will need a good setting powder over the top

This is my everyday primer I use under a cream foundation and it's good help smooths my skin without being too heavy definitely doesn't prolong wear just makes for a better canvas

This primer was one of my first primers when I had no idea how primers worked. It was cheap and came in a huge bottle which even now has about 1/3 left. The pump dispenser is easy to use and hygienic.

This has a very thick, gel like consistency (which I now know is due to the silicone). It mostly spreads smoothly but sometimes if you put too much on it rubs to form kind of gritty 'clumps'. It makes my face feel smoother when I'm wearing it but it also feels almost as if my skin can't 'breathe'. I'm an avid believer in natural, 'no makeup' makeup so the weight of this on my face is quite off putting.

Since this one I've also tried benefit's porefessional and some korean branded whitening primer. Both feel lighter and fill my pores more smoothly than this elf one. So this bottle has slowly migrated to the back of my makeup drawer.

I would recommend this to those starting out with makeup, looking for a cheap primer.

One of the first primers I used and still continue to use on a daily basis. While there are two more high end primers I like, I save those for special occassions or long nights. This is fa for every day use-feels like silk, makes your skin smooth and a great base. A must for beginners or people on a budget-great value for money. Am interested to see what their other primers are like!

The e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer is quite different from other primers which I've used. The consistency is quite thick and clear, but smooths onto your face in a thin, filmy layer.

I do really like the packaging of this primer; it comes in a pretty, frosted glass-style pump bottle so it's super easy to disperse how much product you need.

It definitely helped to smooth out my skin and make my foundation go on more easily. I'm not too sure about whether or not it actually helped my foundation to last longer, but I will continue to use it because it seemed to definitely help make my makeup look better.

After seeing great reviews of this primer I was excited to try it. For only $6 it is super affordable. It comes in a cute little pump bottle with frosted plastic glass. The primers comes out in a thick, silicon like texture. It is a cloudy ,colourless formula. It has a very faint powdery scent. The part that I love is that the primer glides on the skin so soft and silky. It fills in any fine lines and pores giving an even base to apply your foundation to. I liked the fishes it gave with foundation on top and it did help my makeup to stay on longer. The part that I dislike is that it made me breakout. I think that it must have clogged my pores. Overall it's a great product for $6 as long as it doesn't break you out like it did with me.
