This product is fantastic. It smells great, goes onto the skin smoothly and dries / settles quickly. I use this with Revlon colour stay foundation and can even go out straight after work to an event without having to reapply my foundation. Love the gold bottle too, it looks super expensive but I think it's reasonably priced for how long it lasts.

Tips: You don't need to use a lot.
YES not to prime is a crime with a tube full of gold like this. I added onto my NP Photo Ready Foundation with this primer and was amazed at what it added. The 'look' was smoother, had more of a dewey and glowy look. The primer is lucent and glides on so smoothly you wouldn't know it was there apart from is lovely smell. It settles into your skin quickly, can literally apply foundation straight away. It's well worth the extra splurge as you don't need a lot and the tube outlasted my foundation I purchased at same time. I was really impressed at the difference it made! WIll never go back to just slapping foundation on again, I'm saved.
Tips: A little bit goes a l-o-n-g way!
I've tried many primers on the market and this would have to be one of my absolute favourites.
With the packaging, whats not to love? A beautiful gold tube, that I love to look at pride of place on my dresser. It looks like an expensive primer, and it is. What I've found though, is the more expensive primers tend to be the best. This and Smashbox Photo finish primer are both amazing!
What's so amazing about this? Well, for starters it's great for my sensitive and slightly reactive skin. The formula is lovely, it's a white colour and easily absorbs into your skin. My dry skin feels nourished, hydrated and smooth.
This primer creates the perfect base for my foundation. I can't believe I went so many years without using a primer! It's such a necessity for me these days! Using this it really helps with the longetivity of my foundation. At the end of the day, my makeup still looks nice. This primer does what it says it will and more.
I totally agree with Napoleon how Says: “Not to Prime is a Crime!". If you haven't tried this primer, you should!
Five stars. I would definitely recommend this primer and won't hesitate to repurchase.
I have tried a variety of primers, however being a MAC lover/loyal consumer, I was hesitant at first to purchase this Napoleon primer. After being swayed by the sales lady, I decided to purchase it! And, I'm so glad I did, it glides over your skin and leaves a silky smooth finish. What impressed me the most, is that my make up was still intact at the end of the day.
I first got convinced to try this when I was randomly shopping around for a new primer. I had never tried any Napoleon Perdis products and the sales girl was really good at her job, so I decided to purchase it.
When I first tried it, well, I was quite disappointed. It didn't seem to make my make up last any longer and also for some reason made my face quite oily and my foundation was quite shiny. Rather than give up (as I have tried in the past) I changed my moisturiser and wow, what a difference it made.
My foundation definitely became a lot more long lasting. Didn't really do anything with camouflaging or minimising my pores or helping with the fine lines under my eyes, so am still looking for a primer that will help with that.
Being that it is a bit of a pricey primer, it is lucky that you don't need a lot to do the job, so should help with making the product last a lot longer.
Tips: I just use a little bit and wait perhaps a minute for it to soak into my skin before applying my foundation. Be very wary with the type of moisturer you use before the primer as using the wrong one may make the primer not work as well.
Napoleon was one of the first primers I used, was completely amazed at how much it made my foundation last longer how ever my nose tends to get oily after awhile and this product did not help with that at all so it's not good for oily skin, very moisturising though!
Tips: Only use it on your normal areas of skin
I like this primer but its not for all skin types. It does make for a great base before your foundation but if your oily skin i find there are better ones out there. I like that it has chamomile in it as someone with sensitive skin can use it without having it sting their skin,
Wise words by Napolean, and the fact that this seems to be a cult favourite primer means a beauty addict such as myself had to get my hands on it. And it did.
Firstly the packaging is pretty cool, being metallic gold, with black detailing, and coming in a squeezy tube, which just seems to release the perfect amount of product with a gentle squeeze.
The product itself, well i have to say im used to silicon based primers, and this.. well its not. This primer feel and looks like a moisturiser. Its white in colour, and creamy. It even feels like a moisturizer when applying this onto my skin, which is great for those cooler winter months, but i do find this primer isn't ideal for my oily t-zone.
I do find that this primer makes my makeup last a lot longer, and it also seems to hydrate my skin, rather than showing up dry patches of skin which i find some silicon primers do.
Overall a really decent primer, and i think its worth a try for everyone. I know it does seem pricey, but iv been using mine daily for the last 3 months and it feels like i havent even dented this product.
It is a smooth, gentle primer that gives a great flawless base for your foundation. I just love my autopilot.
What a fantastic product! It was the first primer I ever owned and it smells gorgeous and makes my skin feel like silk. I have tried a couple different primers but nothing compares to NP. My foundation goes on smoothly with auto pilot as my base and it helps my skin stay hydrated throughout the day. Very easily applied, just glides over your skin.
Tips: A little goes a long way, I find using my fingers ensures minimum wastage
