I got this free with a foundation and I'm very glad I didn't actually buy it because it does horrible things to my skin. It is a personal thing however as all skin types are extremely different but I found it made my skin feel dry and my break outs got even worse! I don't notice any changes when I'm wearing it and when I'm not

Reviews
I received this as a free gift from Farmers when I spent over a certain amount on Australis products and I found it wasn't a very good primer at all. I found it really silicony and gelly like and when I rubbed it into my skin it felt watery. It didn't feel like it was putting a barier between my foundation and skin at all. Haven't used it again since, I like most of Australis' products but not a fan of this :)
I received the Australis Primer as a freebie a while ago from my local pharmacy, and have finally got round to trying it out. I had previously been using a mineral-based primer, and I actually found the Australis one much more effective in smoothing out my skin before applying makeup. The consistency is a bit unusual, quite lumpy and clear, but it does a great job once smoothed into your skin.
I have quite sensitive skin and I didn't have any adverse reactions to this product. It's also pretty good value for money, and I like how it is so widely available. Not completely head over heels, but definitely a simple and good product :)
I used this alot but i stopped because it use to give me a burning sensation when i applied to my face, only for a little while but still was very harsh on my sensitive/dry skin, this could just be with my skin though, it used to keep my foundation on well though and is cheap :)
I persisted in using this primer for months but I really found no difference when I used it. It's water based, so really all it did was slightly moisturise my skin, which isn't what i want in a primer. It was just another unneccessary product that took up space in my drawer that I didn't really like. I've since thrown it away and replaced it with a primer that really does do something.
This is only the second primer I have tried, and while I don't love it quite as much as my previous one (nutrimetics), I do think it is great value for money, easy to find (Kmart, farmers, etc), and does a good job. It does not fill the pores as much as I would like, and it can be quite shiny, but the fragrance is nice, it is easy to apply, and I love the feel of it.
To me primers were never a necessity to my makeup routine. I used to think they were a gimmick! My first primer was benefit porefessional but that is silicon based so i went on the hunt for something water-based. Came across this in kmart, pretty affordable so i had nothing to lose if i didn't like it. I LOVE it.
The consistency is like a light watery gel but it is not thick or runny. It creates a film between my skin and my foundation and because i have dry skin, i found this quite refreshing and a little hydrating. I still would not skip moisturiser if i were you. Oh my! This primer makes my foundation apply so much smoother. It does not fill in your pores but it does create a silky velvety layer for your foundation to go on which makes your foundation apply better. This primer does not have any sort of matte or dewy finish. It lets the finish of your foundation shine whether if its matte or dewy. It makes my makeup last longer and less cakey.
So if you have dry skin, this will work very well for you. The foundations I've used this with are: Makeup Forever HD, Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, Mac Face and Body and Nars Sheer Glow.
Each of those foundation apply on top of this primer very smoothly. I haven't personally tried the Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot primer but I've read tons of reviews and comparison saying they do same thing and have very similar if not the same ingredients.
If you are looking for an amazing, affordable and accessible primer then this triple threat of A's does it for you. Also I have not experienced any breakouts or sensitivity issues with this primer.
Tips: Apply this with your fingers, you can apply two layers into your face but make sure not to use too much. It is also a great primer to do the Wayne Goss powder before foundation trick as it is moisturising and will absorb the powder beautifully giving you a silky velvety finish
I have been using this primer after a recommendation from a friend when I was telling her how I was unhappy about the finish of my foundation whilst using a different primer. I really love this product, (although the texture is weird) It manages to lock moister in resulting in a smooth surface to apply foundation. It keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day, resulting in my foundation not drying up later in the day and clogging in my pores.
Tips: Use around your eyes if you are using an under eye concealer to prevent caking and crinkling.
