Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder Review

I find this powder easy to use and does a good job of keeping my face oil-free for a whole day. The case is easy to open but clicks securely shut, it comes with a mirror under the powder. My only gripe is the poor quality of the powder puff- there are holes already in the puff where powder collects now though I am not even a third of the way through.

This is definitely one of the best powders I've used, it lasts over foundation all day I don't even have to worry about touching up as there's no shine all day once it's on. I have oily combination skin. The only time I've ever had to touch up again was mid summer in very hot weather or after a 5 hour hike.... The only problem is it isn't wearable on it's own it just removes shine, and it's definitely not waterproof. It washes off. It's very light and barely noticeable and looks flawless over foundation.

I have combination skin and use this product on top of my colourstay foundation with the sponge applicator. I use the sponge to build up the desired coverage to obtain a smooth, clear complexion.

I find this product to provide a smooth, full coverage. The coverage does not appear to be caked on and uneven like other products and I also find the product not to be drying.

The packaging is a sleek compact with a clear window at the top so that you can see the product and colour.

This pressed powder has become a staple for me.

My skin can be pretty oily from time to time and this product has certainly managed to keep my unwanted glow at bay. Perhaps it is due to skin type but, from my experience I can't endorse that a flawless finish will last up to 16 hours. Definitely 8-10. 12 on a really good day. It definitely pairs well with Revlon ColourStay foundations and I've had great results wearing it over CC creams too with a great finish. No off colour, no caked on look and no flaking.

The pressed powder has a sponge and mirror in the back compartment. the compact is easy to open and once closed remains securely shut.

This powder is seriously amazing! I mainly use this as a setting powder to set my foundation but can use it also just as a powder foundation. The formula is almost perfection its doesnt leave the skin feeling dry or looking too dry and matte. Using as a foundation on its own give almost full coverage if you use the wee flat application sponge but then looks best when you buff it im afterwards with a fluffy brush. When I use this for setting powder I go in with a fluffy brush and not only does it set the makeup so well it provides a bit of extra cover you need it or want it. The formula of this foundation is quite soft so when hsing a brush you will have alot of kickup, I have been using this most every day for 2 weeks now and have just hit pan just the smallest amount which it usually takes me a long time to hit pan on a pressed powder so I do think this isn't going to last as well as some other but it's absolutely worth it for the results I get. The powder wears well through the day but it does seem to wear off the longevity of it is not the best but it touches up quickly and nicely without looking cakey or dry. I'm so glad I gave this powder a go, it's been out for years so people must like it for it to still be around. If you catch this on sale give it a go!

This product pairs well with the Revlon colorstay foundation, after using the foundation I grab a brush and lightly brush this product over the top for matte finish . I use the foundation 180 sand beige and pair it with this powder in light/medium for a perfect finish . My skin tone is quite fair and it matches well .
