Shade Range - 120 – Classic Ivory. 9 Matte shades available in range. Limited colour range, only 1 deep shade. Packaging -Glass bottle, tidy labelling, twist off lid, open bottle – no applicator. Weight on face ⁃ Light weight Coverage ⁃ Medium Wearability – Not long wearing, will transfer to hand, clothes ect, when touched. Not transfer proof, not water or smudge proof. Setting spray can help, but not on very long hot days. Buildable – Buildable with concealer and translucent powder. Smell ⁃ No smell?? maybe slight “makeup” smell, but nothing obvious. Drying finish ⁃ Matte almost powder finish Texture – Smooth, Medium liquid texture. Skin types – For normal to oily skin. If you have really dry skin, matte foundations can sometimes stick to the dry areas and accentuate those areas when you might not want to. I have combination skin, so if I moisturise daily, Im usually pretty good. However, I can go dry really quickly. I have had no issues with this foundation with dry areas. Colour – Matches well. I have mild light olive skin, so I like to go for a yellow undertone foundation in the light range. The 120 Classic Ivory was perfect. Oxidise ⁃ Some oxidising after several hours of wear. Not as obvious if concealer and translucent powder used. Powder – Can go without powder, but will use translucent powder in T zone areas for a more lasting finish. Dries to a nice matte finish without powder. Banana powder or foundation powder will make it look cakey. Best tools – Flat top brush with a dabbing motion or hands. Using a sweeping motion can cause streaks with this foundation and a beauty blender tends to just soak it all up. Mils/ longevity ⁃ Standard 30mls. Can get a lot of use out of a whole bottle, don’t need much product for desired result. Price range ⁃ (sale price, full price) *Prices at time of researching for review* Farmers – $26.99 (but you do get your loyalty points and vouchers, often have sales) Warehouse – $22 recreateyourself.co.nz – 20.75 afterpay available. makeup.co.nz $24.99 Kmart – $25 beautybliss.co.nz – $24.95 paylater part pay available
Worth the Price? Definitely worth the price. Very affordable, reliable foundation.
Pros - Affordable Applies nicely Blends out well Colour matches pretty well Looks really good Don’t need a lot of product It layers well Can wear without powder Good simple packaging Standard 30mls.
Cons- Not a huge colour range Is not transfer proof or long wearing No pump applicator Not full coverage Can get cakey with some powders Oxidises slightly Can get patchy if you get sweaty or oily
This foundation is reliable; it gives you a buildable coverage that conceals redness and the old acne bump. I found it true to its Matte and Poreless name for the most part, yet be prepared to not stay as matte as the day goes on.
Tips: Applying a good powder over it at start helps it stay matte for a longer time!
