MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review

I love concealing imperfection and this is by far the best concealer I have ever used. Amazing coverage! The only downside is the pump! I try to be gentle when pumping the product out but it still comes out way too much!!

Pro long wear is a staple product in most beauty gurus make up bags! And I just don't get it, it is thin with an odd texture that I can best describe as watery. It definitely doesn't even remotely conceal my cavernous dark under eye area, and I find it prone to creasing, even when set. The packaging as beautiful as it looks is impractical for travelling and I have seen many heartbreaking pics of broken vials. I also dislike the pump - far too much comes out, I waste so much of it! As much as it pains me I just can't think of anything positive to say about this product (and I'm such a Mac fan)

Other concealers cannot compare! I have tried a couple out (Including the LA Girl Pro) and this is my favourite by far. I use the shade NC15 which matches well with my MAC Matchmaster foundation which I use in the shade 1.

A teeny amount of this product goes very far, one small pump will do under both my eyes, and any spots on my face. I use the pointed tip of my blender sponge or my finger to blend under my eye and my fingers for any spots. I set my undereye area with ELF undereye setting powder.

I've been wanting to move from a full coverage foundation to a lighter coverage/BB cream. I knew I couldn't do it without some help... and help came in the form of this concealer!

The colour match is just perfect. I have very fair skin and it's hard for me to find a good match - this is just a dream! The coverage is great and a little goes a long way - the MAC consultant told me that a half pump would do me - and it really is enough for most days.

I love the little bottle it comes in, it's just so elegant. Glass with a light pump, it's classic MAC.

I find this ideal for covering up any blemishes or red patches. The one thing I don't love it for is underlies - I find that it does settle in to create fine lines, so I stick with just the BB cream for my under-eyes.

I first heard of this concealer through watching a few youtube vids of Jaclyn Hill. I trust that Jaclyn would not put me wrong when recommending a product. So when my inlaws went on vaccation to Hawaii last year I asked if they could get me a few things (as you would). This concealer is so amazing, it's so creamy and so easy to apply. I apply it mainly to my under eye area by dabbing a small amount with my ring finger, I find the warmth of my finger helps melt it on to the skin with ease with no tugging or pulling on the skin. I then blend it out with a damp beauty blender, and I find using this method helps give it an airbrush finish and it deosn't look so cakey. I also apply it to my eyelids as a shadow primer and find it works great as it does not crease on me. I will be re-purchasing this in the near future and it will be added into my MUA Kit. If there is one negative that I can think of it is the packaging!! You have to be very careful when using the pump as it does tend to pump out alot of product (way more than needed) and that the it is in a glass tube, so many horror stories and posts on social media of girls accidently dropping thier concealer and it smashing. Apart from that, this product is a dream, blendable, great coverage and does not crease!!!

I never thought I would ever move away from my concealer love affair with Mac select cover up - but I have and I am not looking back. This did not crease at all (although I did set it with bare minerals well rested and the 'banana' shade from the Australis kit). Easy to blend out (I just dabbed with my finger). Perfect PUUUURRRRFECT full coverage and an incredible satin finish (not matte and not dewy on me). The formula is definitely top notch. A little goes a long way so beware when applying. Like half a pea size for each eye (top of brow bone down the side of the nose and up in a triangle towards the temple). Works great as an eye primer too. 6/5 from me.

After trying (and loving) a MAC foundation - MAC studio sculpt foundation it was time to add more items to my MAC collection. This one was at the top of my wishlist, due to the glowing reviews.

Does it live up to the hype? yes, it sure does! I haven't ever been wowed by any concealer, until trying this little gem. Its quickly become my holy grail concealer, a staple- must have item in my makeup bag.

The packaging is sleek and stylish, like all of the MAC products I own. In a little glass pump bottle, with a black cap. I love the look, so elegant and simple.

The formula is quite thick, and It suits my nw20 skin perfectly. I use this on my blemishes, and it conceals so well. Using this concealer in combination with my Mac studio sculpt is perfection, it give me such a flawless finish. The concealer doesn't rub off quickly like other concealers I've tried, so it just seems to be great quality and superior to others.

Another positive is that my skin can be dry and sensitive, and this just seems nice and gentle on my skin. It covers so well, yet doesn't accentuate the dryness like other concealers can sometimes do.

The only negative aspect about this concealer is the pump. Interestingly enough I expected a pump on a concealer to be a good thing, but it really doesn't work on this. Every time I use it, it just dispenses too much concealer. Considering its an expensive product it's rather frustrating. I hope MAC fixes this packaging soon!

I can't recommend this concealer enough, it's so much better than any others I've tried. I'm so glad to have found my holy grail concealer.

Love it,I was very skeptical when I first purchased this concealer,it was $30 to buy which is expensive in NZ,but I know how to use it where it does not set into under eye lines,it comes in a small glass bottle with a pump and is tiny enough to fir in a wallet or handbag,I use nc 25 and place it under my eyes with a small concealer brush,I then dab it into my skin with a damp beauty blender,it blends out so nice and flawless,before it sets you need to quickly place powder over the top and that sets it and it does not go into fine lines,a wonderful product,this is my go to product I use for under eye area,

This concealer has a high coverage which hides everything from dark circles, to horrible volcano pimples. It is a very thick consistency which allows the pigment to be impeccable. this doesn't have a fragrance which is a bonus for sensitive skin. This formula is easily spread but dries very quickly so blending is needed quickly after applying. The packaging is a small vile with a pump which pumps the perfect amount to apply to the chin, nose, brow and under eyes. The smallest amount of product creates a flawless look. This product requires to be set with powder otherwise creasing will happen. Overall, this product is amazing and is great for evening looks.
