Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

I really enjoy using this product as a daily touch up before heading out of the front door. It certainly delivers on it's promise of a matte finish that smoothes away imperfections. It did however take me a few attempts to perfectly balance the amount of product and blending required in order to achieve the matte finish I wanted without too much of a "make-up" look. Now I use it on a daily basis to hide those little imperfections, keep my t-zone shine under control and for a little extra sun protection. I really love this product and a little can go a long way, especially when using underneath foundation or powder.

To be honest, I found this BB cream quite average. The consistency of the cream is quite runny, which while easy to apply, meant that I had to be careful how I held it in one hand while applying with the other (a few drips on the carpet to clean up!). I did like the matte finish that it gave and also it had good longevity. I would apply in the morning and it was still looking even, matte, and glowing at the end of the day. I have a combination skin tone and I found the oil free cream to be suitable to my skin tone. Even with these positives, I still don't know if I would use it again because I prefer another brand of BB that I have been using for a while. The biggest point of difference for me is the runny consistency.

I found this to be good coverage but didn't like the matt dried look it left on my skin. It's good if your wanting matt look for you face. Just found it to have a very drying appearance very quickly once applied

I reviewed this BB cream in the combination to oily skin type.It comes packaged in a box and the tube is a tall, sleek design which looks nice. The consistency of the product is much runnier than other BB creams that I have used. As soon as I removed the lid the product came flowing out so I had to be careful when opening it.The product goes on to the skin really easily. I applied with either my fingers or a sponge and I found that the sponge gave a more even finish. The product blended nicely and gave a nice light coverage and evened out my skin tone. It didn't have enough coverage to hide blemishes so it would be good for people with clear skin that want a little coverage or for 'no makeup look' days. The cream dried to a nice subtle matte finish which worked well on my oily skin but did start to wear off after a few hours. I tried this in the shade light however it was still to dark for me. Unfortunately this is the lightest shade so I won't be able to use it until maybe summer time. My skin also felt a little itchy when using this BB cream so I felt like I couldn't wear it for too long. It has a very slight alcohol smell to it but that was only when I sniffed the tube quite strongly, otherwise I didn't notice a smell. I wouldn't use this product myself as I like quite full coverage but it would be suitable for people who don't like to wear full coverage foundation.

Having very light skin, I was a bit apprehensive about how this product would look on my complexion. Previously I have a had some meh results with BB creams and tend to just stick with my normal sheer foundation and powder. There are quite a few claims on this cream, and pleasantly this product's claims actually are true. The cream was a light, very smooth cream that went on very smoothly and gave a very good coverage. On my skin it gave a coverage I would expect from an upmarket foundation. The cream gave a nice velvety smooth matt finish. It hide a multitude of skin imperfections. I have a few age spots, and it covered these completely along with improving the appearance of the wrinkles (I am 50!)- it really is a "miracle skin perfecter" I really liked the feel of the BB cream finish, it made the skin velvet smooth, but a dry smooth. The typical oil zone, the nose and chin for me, remained shinefree for over 12 hours with full skin coverage. I really like this product and will continue to use as a foundation rather than a BB cream as on my very fair skin it really gives full coverage and that's not what I like for everyday use. I couldn't comment on the pore reducing claim as this is not one of my skin's particular problems. The price is awesome for the quality of this product.

I found this product to be amazing! It went on easily and gave the look of a full foundation. I had numerous people compliment me on my skin and were surprised when i told them that all i was wearing was BB Cream! The only thing i would say is i am quite white and the light color i had was still a bit too dark for my skin and also it was quite runny so you have to be careful when opening this. I have found an improvement in my skin as i have hardly any shine now and this is all i wear daily. I fully recommend this product to anyone who has oily skin :)

I normally have combination skin with some problem areas and find it hard to get foundation to sit right on my skin, I liked the Garnier BB Cream as it was a light formula that is moisturizing for the skin. It is quite a light coverage, but if you are wanting to build on it I reapplied a few times. I found that the shade is what let me down with this product, it was a bit too dark/orange for my skin tone and I think they would benefit from having a few more shades to choose from. The packaging is standard, nothing too flash but pleasing enough, it is easy to control how much comes out at one time which was a bonus! I found that this product helped clear some problem areas on my skin as I wasn't having to use that much, and it's not a thick consistency. I found it was a dewy texture on my skin but that works for me as I have dry areas. Overall I would reccommend this product as it is a light, affordable options for people who don't like or need to wear a heavy coverage foundation.

Just loved this product. The packaging great and the smell is pleasant. I prefer it to my foundation and i have tried lots of them and i think this is much better over all great price lovely coverage and applies lovely. Def a keeper in my makeup bag

As a virgin BB Cream user, I was a little sceptical about trying this cream out. I've heard great things from friends who already use it, but not being a foundation/tinted moisturiser wearer usually, I wondered if this would end up going the same way as my previous forays into such creams.

The truth is my skin tone isn't terrible and I don't get many breakouts. So I don't feel the need to wear creams like this. But hey, I took one for the team and set off.

Firstly the colour. I went for medium and then immediately worried that I might look like an oompa loompa! I'm not your typical pale English rose but some creams can be a bit too dark. Not having looked at testers in the shops, I took a bit of a gamble.

As it turned out, it was a pretty good match for my skin. As coverage is relatively light, it seemed to blend quite naturally with my skin tone.

Applying the cream was really easy. I just used my fingers and, with the nice light texture, it spread thinly and evenly. It doesnt appear to be easy to 'clump up' and gather in particular areas too badly.

Being oil free, areas of my face that might normally be feeling pretty greasy by lunchtime remained fairly dry for the majority of the day. Very little, if any shine.

The overall finish was really nice. It evened out my skin tone nicely and doesn't feel at all heavy. I can't even tell I'm wearing it! My skin usually dries out when I wear foundation or tinted moisturiser, especially around the nose and cheeks. When this happens, most creams make me look scaley and flaky. This cream doesn't dry my skin out as much, and even the areas that are a little dry (not necessarily attributable to the cream) aren't as prominent as previous creams I've used.

I could be converted simply because this cream feels so light and is so easy to apply. As my profile says, I'm a low maintenance kinda gal, so anything that's a bit more 'plug and play' in the beauty stakes is a winner for me!

I have combination skin that has been dryer due to the weather and currently battling some hormonal acne . This product did not work well for me and my skin , I found it really messy to use as it just poured out due to the thin consistency when I applied the product It was very visible and u had trouble blending it in it just sat on the surface of my skin. I use it all week at work when I got home most of it was gone and my skin felt very oily . Would not purchase this myself but I will add my mum did give it a go and she actually liked it so I think it depends on your skin type. I wouldn't recommend this if you have acne or bumps as it just doesn't sit nice on the skin.
