Excuse the capitals! I hate hate hate this foundation with a passion I wish I could snatch it away from the shelves. Everyone swears by this but my experience was completely different. Revlon colour stay is deceiving your first experience is very very good..you will notice excellent coverage and ok shades to pick from. So you will be cruising along thinking woahh my skins look so clear...then BOOM before you know it you have dry crusty skin everywhere. I am a beauty therapist so I always use good skincare and take time in my regime to maintain my skins health. I suffer from dry skin so I bought the dry foundation...oh dear oh dear this worsens it. I suspect it's something to do with the staying power of the foundation...as it is so difficult to remove. Another pet hate is when you ladies wear it to a facial...nightmare. It just has such a cakey consistency and clings to the skin..it clings to every dry imperfection and draws more attention to the fact you are wearing foundation. It is the biggest no no for foundation in my eyes! I cringe when I walk past the Revlon counter. Not the best option for foundation I am afraid. Ok rant over...but if I could give it zero kisses it would have zero kisses just for the negative impact it had on my skin.

Tips: Never buy it :) Kidding....Facial wipes will not remove this you will probably need to do three facial cleanses...and you will still have it hanging around in your hair line and nose crevices etc...MOISTURISE MOUSTURISE!
I love Revlon Colourstay for Normal/Dry skin.
I love the shade selection as I can always find my perfect shade no matter what time of year it is which always has an effect on what shade I need to get.
I use it with my QVS Egg shaped blender and it applies beauitfully.
It isnt as lightweight as it claims to be but with full coverage foundations I dont expect it to feel like Im not wearing anything. And it is full coverage and lasts the entire day so I dont have to touch up.
I never set this with powder as my face is dry enough as it is. I don't use a primer(I "prime" with moisturizer).
I would recommend this
Tips: Another foundation that is comparable to revlon colourstay but in my opinion even better is Australis Stayput foundation, the only downside is the limited shade selection which is the ONLY reason I dont use it all the time
I use to always use this foundation when i started out with make up, and to start with it was great, but then as i got older it just didnt stay on my face but the end of the day it had fallen off and went all patchy. I was not happy at all with the result after paying so much money to start with.
This foundation is perfect if you want a full coverage product. It does indeed last a long time, although can get patchy. Can look powdery. This is an awesome foundation for girls with blemishes, it will cover and stay!
Tips: This product dries fast so make sure you blend quick!
I needed a new foundation and a friend recommended this one for my dry skin. It goes on well and gives a good coverage and lasts pretty long to! Overall I was happy with the product and am still using it :)
I have read so many rave reviews about revlon colorstay foundation. Alot of people seem to love it. My first impressions of it: it is quite thick and dried very quickly once it was on my skin. I know this is a common trait of long wear foundations. With my old foundation I could dot it all over my face and take my time blending it out. Not so with this one. I had to apply very small amounts and blend each part of my face one at a time. Kinda annoying and time consuming and found it a little hard to create a perfect base because of this. Felt a bit patchy and thick. Yes this formula is very thick. The coverage was great. I think the good coverage of colorstay is what alot of people seem to like. But I definately felt like I had alot of product on my skin and it was thick or nothing. No in between. I stuck with it even though I wasn't initally that impressed or enjoying it on my skin. I was waiting for something to change and hoping i would see what all the buzz was about. by the end of the first week my skin was in a shocking state. It was so dry. I have never had such bad lizard skin! And when i used my cleanser to remove it would sting, same with my moisturiser. My skin was red and sensitive. over the last two days of wesring colorstay my skin got alot worse very quickly. I stopped using the colorstay. it took me 2 weeks to get my skin balanced and back to normal. But i shed dry skin that whole time.it was super gross. so needless to say. I am not a fan of this foundation!I something in that formula definately reacted on my skin. Since my experience was the exact opposite of loving it. I did some more research into it. And discovered the oily/combo skin formula seems to be a winner with alot of people. More so than the dry formula. But I personally wont be giving the other one a shot after the mess this left my skin in.
The positives: it is pretty heavy coverage to cover blemishes if thats what you are looking for. And definately long wearing. Just not for me and my skin. won't be purchasing this again.
Tips: Get a sample to try first. Before you buy.
This is the foundation I am using at the moment. I admit I am a Revlon girl, but I find this foundation isn't flash for me as by the end of the day most of it has come of and you can tell my skin is really dry. Too be honest I think after this I might need to find a new brand altogether.
I've been wearing this foundation, on and off for the past few years, and i think it is the perfect all round every day foundation for me! After using loads of other brands and never being completely happy with their longevity i finally found this dreamy one. Sand Beige is such a good match for my skin, I have wasted so much money over the years buying foundations that turned out to be way too yellow or pink for me.
I prefer having good medium coverage because of my pigmentation but I really don't like looking like I'm wearing a mask of foundation and this foundation still lets my skin show through so it's not at all mask-like (unless, of course, you apply a lot).
It was seriously, flawless.
I wear this every day and it always remains in place ALL day..no smudging, transferring, caking, or settling. I do however use my Estee Lauder Double wear on my nose as i find it does wear off in this area and i need something with more "stick-ability" on my nose. I set my foundation with Dr Hauschka setting powder which gives it a lovely finish and feel.
I will definitely continue to buy and use this foundation for years to come.
I love this foundation, i have it in medium beige and its perfect for my skin tone. I apply it with a face sponge, and it goes on great.
accidentally. I accidentally purchased this variation rather than the oily/combi skin formula online. Although this isn't the variation I wanted it still does work fine with my skin. I wouldn't say I really have oily skin, but it tends to when it feels like it, and the oily/combi formula provides me with better coverage.
I find this formula is a little more runnier and therefore doesn't have the same coverage. Never the less this still works fine if I want a lighter coverage.
Tips: Make sure you're buying the right formula haha. And the bottles with the pumps are easier and cleaner to use.
