Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Stick Foundation Review

I'll admit I didn't use this product for its correct purpose as it doesn't come in my shade (yay for the joys of nc10).

I picked this product up when I left my contour pallet at home when I went on holiday and it lasted about a week in my make up bag.

The product went on smooth and blended reasonable well, until it came into contact with my normal foundation, when it started to cake and split. After a solid 5 minutes with the beauty blended I had no visible lines or cracks and applied powder, where the change in products became evident under my blush.

After spending 4 hours out, came home to see a perfect face, minus a 1 inch line under my cheeks. The contour had completely come off. I'd hate to think what it would have looked like as a full face as what was left when a shiny mess.

Would only recommend this product as an emergency spot fix which would need top ups.

This foundation is perfect for a quick morning routine. It is super easy to apply, just swipe away and blend a little. I find that I have to use quite a lot for the coverage that I like so it won't last me very long but is perfect for travelling as it's lightweight and small. It is also one of the few foundations that matches my pasty white skin colour. One of the downsides is it's not the best with blending as it can look a bit patchy if you push too hard (I use a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush so could be my brush) but it doesn't leave much excess on the brush so less wasted product. The other is that it isn't very "shine-free", my skin was still quite oily by the end of the day. Not a bad product for the price though, would definitely buy again. Update-works much better with a beauty blender finish wise but gives less coverage

I don't use this as a foundation because it's not good for my skin type but I love it for a concealer and highlighting! I use it under the brow bone to help define my brows and I couldn't love my brow anymore because of it.

This is a great medium coverage foundation - in stick form for the ultra lazy among us. I appreciate how fast it is apply and it is one of the only foundations that you can easily apply without any tools. It is a bit on the oily side.

I was in desperate need of a foundation at the time but did not want to splurge because I couldn't afford to. So...I bought this. What a waste of money and time. This does not keep your skin free from shine, it creates the shine! It didn't work for me at all. Probably because I have an oily skin but seriously, "Shine Free" does not seem "Fit" to be in the product name. The consistency of the product when applying it to the skin is like putting a pasty powder on it and it just sits on the top layer of the skin, creating breakouts.

Anyways, I kept giving it ago and just threw it in the bit because there was no hope for it in my makeup bag.

I loved the packaging , I purchased this before going on hoilday as it was small and wouldn't take up a lot of room in my makeup bag ! I felt like I had to apply quite a lot to get a good coverage but it lasted all day even in the heat ! Good price but it didn't last me very long , I'll be sticking to liquid foundations next time but it doesn't hurt to give it a go !

You would be lying if you said you don't have days where you just cannot be bothered with makeup or in a major hurry because your alarm didn't go off and you have to leave the house in 20 minutes. We've all been there.

In our time of need the Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Stick Foundation is the perfect solution to our life's problems.

This foundation is one of my go to items on a lazy day where I can't be bothered with my full makeup routine but would prefer not to look like I haven't slept for the last 5 years.

The formula has really good coverage and I find that so long as I set it with a powder or setting spray it has really good lasting power.

Although it is not the best foundation in my collection it sure is up there and provides a great alternative when you really don't feel like going through the hassle of liquid foundation.

I also have a darker shade of this which I use for cream contouring. This works so well and I feel that if it is blended right it gives a much more natural contour than powder contouring.

Super easy to blend, multipurpose, fast. What more could you ask for?

I recently purchased the Maybelline foundation stick. Its packaging is nice, it is in a wind up stick applicator making it easy to apply. The foundation glides on easily and blends nicely. I find that this foundation doesn’t last long only a few hours, and that it is not shine free, after wearing for an hour or so my face looks shinier than ever. This foundation is ok but I won’t be repurchasing as it doesn’t last long enough.
