This is a really good cheap alternative to my favourite foundation (Estee Lauder Double Wear), however I find it doesn't last as long and tends to discolour a bit during the day - it can leave me a bit blotchy and orange by the evening. However overall a really good value product.

I first used this foundation about 15 years ago and have since flirted with many other brands. It was recently on sale and I decided to revisit this old favourite. The formulation has changed for the better over the years and I just bought my second bottle. I find that it lasts all day and does not transfer onto telephones, clothes, etc. It provides great coverage and I like the inbuilt SPF as an addition to my normal sun protection. There are a range of wearable colours to choose from and for the price, I think it is good value for money.
Ah, good ole' Colourstay!!! This stuff is the bom dot com; I've yet to find something that stays in place as long when I'm out dancing with my girlfriends :D
The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is, if I use it too many days in a row it can on occasion give me minor break outs.
Tips: It does set super quick so if you want more blend time and a flawless airbrushed looking finish, I highly recommend using a beauty blender (or another inferior wet sponge) to apply it.
Love the packaging. Sturdy glass bottle with an easy to use pump. Has a slight but pleasant scent. I would say it is build able, medium to full coverage. I apply in thin layers to build up the coverage, this way it doesn't get cakey. Smooth consistency, blends well with a damp sponge or a flat top kabuki brush. It is very long wearing, drys to a natural matte finish. Covers all my redness, but doesn't exxagerate my pores.Overall a great full coverage foundation
Tips: I use a damp sponge to sheer out the coverage slightly
Love this as a back-up/everyday foundation, and works well on my oily skin. Easily accessible at the shops and on the lower end (I tend to stock up when overseas and it's cheap for foundation).
The bottle is easy to hold, though the lid comes off easily, so need to be careful not to hold it by the top. Love the pump and wish more foundations used this as you can get good control on the amount of the product to dispense.
While it's thin consistency and medium coverage, I find it feels heavy on the skin, so I mix with my moisturiser to lighten that up a bit.
Good range of colours and easy to match to your skin tone. It does take some scrubbing to wash off!
I really loved this Foundation as it has very good coverage. I myself have combination to Oily Skin and i have noticed that this foundation has been separating lately and becomes very dewy on hot days when you sweat more.
Tips: Using a powder over top to ensure you get that Matte finish.
I got this product on sale at my local chemist about 3 years ago and I swear by it! the coverage is amazing and it sits SO nicely on the skin. The formula is fantastic, very lightweight and not cakey. It has amazing coverage with just a thin layer but can easily be built up. As a very very pale girl, it's hard to find a pale foundation that doesn't oxidize and this foundation doesn't. The staying power of this foundation is very good, not 24hrs but more like 15hrs.
Tips: there is no pump so be careful when pouring out the product!
Revlon is great for being easily accessible from local Farmers, even the smaller branches carry at least Revlon so this foundation is my favourite option when I need something to grab quickly, I first found this when shopping in Ashburton whilst visiting and loved it said it was for combi skin and the shade range was quite good, easily found a shade that matched.
The application is good when used with either a brush or damp sponge, it settles nicely, is long lasting, doesn't sink into the pores and gives a nice soft look to the face without being too dewy or too matte, a nice healthy medium. Doesn't break up around the nose or smile lines until well after the 8 hour mark and by then I am ready to be rid of the makeup anyway.
Stays on for well over 8 hours - I am currently using the Fresh Beige #250 it covers the broken red capillaries on my cheeks really well.
Revlon Colourstay is a very thick foundation with very full coverage. I have very oily skin and, as a result, I find that it won't quite last a whole day. However, it is still the longest lasting foundation I have come across. I would consider the price point in New Zealand to be much too high for a chemist/drugstore/high street brand, and would only purchase it on sale. I am glad that a pump has been added - this has improved the score.
Tips: IDEAL for mixing with other foundations/BB creams/tinted moisturisers to increase coverage. (Olay Touch of Foundation is good for this.)
