Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti Chip Top Coat Review

I love Sally Hansen products for nails, they are normally fantastic. This product wasn't up to their normal standard. I found that it peeled off the nail after only a few days. Yes it did dry quick, but it really didn't get a chance to chip as it peeled so quickly.

A lot of us have fast paced lives, whether it be because of children or school or work or God forbid, all three, we simply don't have time for doing our nails and waiting for them to dry.

I love this top coat because of how fast it dries but it is definitely not chip resistant.

My manicures, when using this top coat, usually last for about two to three days before it starts to chip. I work at a place where I have to be well presented and having chipped nails is a definite no no.

I change my nail colour every week so it's not that huge of a problem but I am disappointed that it didn't live up to its 10 day claims.

this product is very good especially when in a rush and want your nails to dry faster or you just want a nice lasting top coat . the only problem i found with it is that when you did get a chip in your nail polish it all on that nail started to chip off with it . but it does defanity leave the nail polish on for longer

If you're someone like me, who no matter how careful you are always ends up ruining your newly painted nails while they're still wet, then you neeeeeeed this in your life!! It is seriously worth it, especially given it's only $20.

This definitely doesn't dry nailpolish in 30 seconds, it's more like a couple of minutes. However that is still super quick! I always let my polish dry to the 'set' stage (which is just a couple of minutes), and then put a coat of this on. Within a couple of minutes it's safe to move.... as in pick up a cup of tea, type, etc, without ruining your manicure.

Be aware that it still takes a while before your nailpolish is completely hard and dry, so don't do anything 'violent' straight away and expect to have perfect nailpolish, this just allows you to do normal things without worrying about smudging your polish.

It does also extend the life of your polish before it starts chipping - not majorly, just a couple of days, but it does help.

Overall, I love this, and would (and frequently do) recommend this to anybody and everybody. Hope that helps some of you! xx

I got this item off the beauty vault and far out it's cool! The first time I used it I was amazed at the finish and strength it gave my manicure. The finish is glossy and looks like gels and the 'anti-chip' actually works pretty well. I have found that my nails still chip, but the manicure lasts longer before chipping starts. I am kind of in love♥

I brought this top-coat after using a friends, and WOW it's amazing. I always have issues with chipping and peeling nail polish, and I can never get my polish to last longer than a day. Using this my polish is lasting 3-4 days with minimal chipping around the top of the nail. It creates a gel-nail like texture that doesn't peel off the nail easily. Amazing.

I'm the type of girl who loves the finish of my nails after getting them professionally done but hate going to the mall and waiting in cues to actually do it. I found this top coat in Posties for around $8 and thought i'd try it out. Now I am in love and cant do my nails without it. I've actually gotten asked a few times where I had gotten my nails done. People are often surprised to hear that I had done them myself at home! Pros - 1. amazing finish, my nails have the gel / shelac kind of finish to them. - 2. cheap find in posties. they often have sales. - 3. gives a more lasting finish to your normal under coat of nail polish. - 4. very easy to use brush. - 5. dries relatively quickly. Cons - 1. seems to dry out fast in the bottle and get gloppy fast? (or is that just me?)

I've repurchased this product three times now and will continue to do so! LOVE IT.

This is my favorite top coat, it really enhances your polish especially if you love a great shine. I don't use it if I want a matte finish though. The brush is just fantastic, wish all other polishes had the same brush, so easy to use, just the right length and great hold on handle. Now the consistency is a little thicker so you have to be careful not to apply to thick as this is when it can peel or chip quicker. I have had a bottle where it got glumpy gloopy near the end, and I paint every 3/4 days so was it the air making this happen. I find if I use it within 6 months I don't get this problem. Lets go back to the amazing shine wowza love the glossy look. Now does it dry in 30 seconds, not quiet. I am one of those people even if it says drys in seconds I am ultra careful for a couple hours lol but this is my favorite speed dry, I can start doing normal things after about 30 minutes, I normally paint at night so then I can relax and let them dry. Nearly forgot to add that I like to use glitter polishes and this is great with them, doesn't end up on the brush and then transferd into bottle, have had that happen with other top coats. So overall my favourite top coat.

Amazing top coat! It really does help manicures to dry faster and gives it a long lasting, shiny finish. The polish comes in a red bottle, and initially has a nice thin consistency. I did find that the product does get quite once about half the bottle had been used, but this is easily fixed with some nail polish thinner. The brush is a little on the thinner side, but that isn't really a deal breaker.

For use on a single-coloured manicure, this is a definite must have, however for those that enjoy doing nail art, I find that this top coat causes the design to smudge.

Also, in 30 seconds the nail polish is only dry to the touch. The layers beneath are definitely not yet dried, so you still have to be careful!
