OPI Liquid Sand (all shades)
Reviews
I'm such an Opi fan and I love the liquid sand range, my favourite is Jinx which is a vibrant orange colour and it's perfect for your twinkle toes. The liquid sand goes on so easily and you can't even notice a little mistake and another coat goes on so easily. You could get away with one coat quite easily. Liquid sand lasts such a long time, no chipping and easy to touch up, only down side is it takes a bit of perseverance to remove it!
Tips: Any more than 3 coats and your asking for a really really hard job of removing the polish.
The O.P.I sand range has really grown on me and each time I'm wearing it I fall in love just a little bit more.
The formula is thicker than other OPI nail polish's and last's longer too. I thinks thats due to the sand like texture.
The results can be seen in the first coat and two coats is usually enough for an amazing finish. It does feel slightly rough but not scratchy like glitter polish'. I find it looks shimmery rather than glittery.
Tips: If you dont like the rough feel then apply a top coat to smooth it out :)
I'm a nail polish freak and thought it best to add one of these to my collection. I got a bright purple shade (the name escapes me now) to go with an outfit I wore to the races. The colour and formula is great, typical OPI - a couple of coats and youre done. It dries to a sand papery texture with a kind of matte finish, which is great for a novelty effect but not really my thing. I add a coat of Seche Vite to smooth it out and make it glossy instead.
I personally love it! im actually wearing it now! (Alcatraz rocks) although i find it chips quite easily (i don't apply top coats). the colours are amazing!
Tips: apply more than one coat :)
I love the sand shades - adds a whole new dimension to your ordinary nail polish. The few things I have found though are some shades are better than others (have better colours so shows effect more) and unfortunately you can not put an top coat on these so they sometimes start to flake. Overall though I love them.
Words cannot express how much I love these polishes. They go on so easily and only need about 2 strokes per finger and that's it! Only one cost needed. I get so many complements on these polishes, especially the blue shade. They are very hard to remove though, which means the colour lasts a long time :)
Tips: DO NOT apply top coat :)
I now have a collection of liquid sand polishes which seem to be multiplying unintentionally- I just can't resist them! OPI liquid sand nail polishes apply very easily- a little goes a long way and the colours I have used are well pigmented so 1-2 coats is more than enough. The polish dries quickly which is perfect for when you are in a rush. The polish has a great texture- kind of like fine grade sand paper. You don't need to use a top coat either, which is another bonus!! I have found these polishes are fairly chip resistant- I can get a good 2 days before I need to do touch ups. One problem I have found and have seen from other people reviews, is that they are pretty stubborn and take some work to get off.
OPI's Liquid Sand polishes are a really cool invention. They have a different texture to any other polish and have really different finishes.
They are a bit trickier to apply due to the formula being very thick, but they dry quicker than all my other polishes and last a LOT longer.
Wear time for these is a week easily, and that's with using my hands day in day out. They don't chip, they only wear signs they show are tip wear over time.
Removal however.. THE HARDEST THING EVER. Seriously though, this polish is practically bomb proof. You need to soak your nails in remover and scrub to get these off, which I find makes my nails dry and a bit peely for a while afterwards. This is the trade off though for such a long wearing polish I suppose!
Tips: Don't ever use these without a basecoat!
this product is great but very unusual, it is either going to be a product that you love or hate. the texture that the nailpolish leaves on your nail resembles sandpaper or lightly sprinkled sand, it does feel different, but leaves a great effect on the nail
