My OPI Liquid Sand polish is called Tiffany Case and is a sparkly deep blue that reminds me of the beach - it's an ocean blue colour with the texture of sand. For some people the texture of these polishes can be disturbing, but for me I think it feels pretty cool. It can be a little annoying sometimes, as it's rough, gritty surface can get stuck on fluffy things and materials.
I really love OPI nail polishes for their easy application bottles and the brush isn't too skinny, it's really easy to swipe the colours on in three brushes. I've worn my Tiffany Case nail polish on my toenails a few times, and the one big thing with these polishes is that they are SO hard to take off! While their liquid formula goes on so smoothly, the grittiness of the liquid sand when it sets hugs on really tight to your nail! Without using nail polish remover, it literally took months for this polish on my toes to start chipping. If you're wearing it on your fingernails however, because you use your fingers in every day life a lot more than your toes, (I hope!) it does chip away pretty quickly. To get everything off your nails does take some time, I hold a cotton ball partly soaked in a good nail polish remover for as many seconds as I have the patience for (try at least 30 seconds) onto my nails and then rub firmly up and down.
I bought my one and only OPI Liquid Sands nail polish on special for under $12 I think, but seeing the regular price for $23 I'd rather buy a cheaper nail polish brand instead of this, even though I love OPI, it's an awesome brand, or only get it again on special.
Wearing a nail polish with a sandy texture is a really cool change from your ordinary smooth polish, I do really like my one and I think YES it is pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something new, fun and exciting - this is it. OPI has a really awesome range of pretty colours to suit whatever mood you're in. I do love OPI, I love their colours, their long-lasting quality and their smooth, evenly applied coats; but I have to agree they are a little over priced. I will totally buy more OPI when they are on special, can't wait to bring some new guys home to join my little family of polishes, but not when they're selling for the full price.
OPI Liquid Sand is definitely worth looking into and yup, I think they're everything they say they'll be.
I have 'magazine cover mouse', 'What wizardry is this' and the purple mini. I find the liquid sand polishes are hard to remove, chip easily, you can't wear top coat and it tends to catch on a lot of things but it looks amazing on!
Tips: Do not wear on your toe nails. To help remove from your nails as well as a good polish remover, use an orange/wood stick to help chip it off. Any nail polish remover with acetone works better than non acetone removers.
