OPI liquid sands

I have 'magazine cover mouse', 'What wizardry is this' and the purple mini. I find the liquid sand polishes are hard to remove, chip easily, you can't wear top coat and it tends to catch on a lot of things but it looks amazing on!

Tips: Do not wear on your toe nails. To help remove from your nails as well as a good polish remover, use an orange/wood stick to help chip it off. Any nail polish remover with acetone works better than non acetone removers.

OPI Liquid Sand Nails!

My OPI Liquid Sand polish is called Tiffany Case and is a sparkly deep blue that reminds me of the beach - it's an ocean blue colour with the texture of sand. For some people the texture of these polishes can be disturbing, but for me I think it feels pretty cool. It can be a little annoying sometimes, as it's rough, gritty surface can get stuck on fluffy things and materials.

I really love OPI nail polishes for their easy application bottles and the brush isn't too skinny, it's really easy to swipe the colours on in three brushes. I've worn my Tiffany Case nail polish on my toenails a few times, and the one big thing with these polishes is that they are SO hard to take off! While their liquid formula goes on so smoothly, the grittiness of the liquid sand when it sets hugs on really tight to your nail! Without using nail polish remover, it literally took months for this polish on my toes to start chipping. If you're wearing it on your fingernails however, because you use your fingers in every day life a lot more than your toes, (I hope!) it does chip away pretty quickly. To get everything off your nails does take some time, I hold a cotton ball partly soaked in a good nail polish remover for as many seconds as I have the patience for (try at least 30 seconds) onto my nails and then rub firmly up and down.

I bought my one and only OPI Liquid Sands nail polish on special for under $12 I think, but seeing the regular price for $23 I'd rather buy a cheaper nail polish brand instead of this, even though I love OPI, it's an awesome brand, or only get it again on special.

Wearing a nail polish with a sandy texture is a really cool change from your ordinary smooth polish, I do really like my one and I think YES it is pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something new, fun and exciting - this is it. OPI has a really awesome range of pretty colours to suit whatever mood you're in. I do love OPI, I love their colours, their long-lasting quality and their smooth, evenly applied coats; but I have to agree they are a little over priced. I will totally buy more OPI when they are on special, can't wait to bring some new guys home to join my little family of polishes, but not when they're selling for the full price.

OPI Liquid Sand is definitely worth looking into and yup, I think they're everything they say they'll be.

Tips: These polishes are really stubborn, and are tricky to get off. You'll need to press hard with a polish-remover soaked cotton ball for at least 30 seconds on each nail, and then scrub it hard!

Best thing ever!

I LOVE these!! I am addicted to sparkly and matte polish, and this version gives you both of those so well! I have a beautiful sophisticated dark blue, as well as a few sparkly ones, and oh how they sparkle! You actually can put a top coat over these ones and it makes hardly any difference at all. I don't have any problems with the texture or removal - removes like a normal glitter polish in my opinion. Easy to touch up chips due to texture - though it lasts well without chipping.

Tips: I always lightly buff my nails before painting them, this definitely helps with wear

In love

I love these so much!! I have to say some of the colours aren't true to the formula colour, i have a red looking one which is actually a really nice pink, but it still looks amazing. I went though a phase of wearing these for months as they look so good and were easy to use! I would recommend these. They are hard to get off though obviously, but is that a bad thing when they look so good?

Tips: Don't use a top coat!! Doesn't look as nice with one and they last a long time without one anyway!

Awesome

My mate has a large collection of these and I'm always using them off her! I love the colors they come in. They go on super easy which I was really surprised at and the coverage is great. This lasts on my nails for ages, which is pretty awesome since I have my hands in water a lot of the time. Can't wait to get my own ones of these, I'm sure my mate can't either so I stop borrowing hers :P

I love these lil' workhorses!

I have two bottles of Liquid Sand that I bought online in a warehouse sale. I LOVE them. The texture is really interesting, like a sandblasted effect. They apply really well, the sandy particles are evenly distributed and don't sink to the bottom of the bottle. The brush is easy to handle and applies the product evenly. I use two coats, and no top coat - making this a quick and easy mani with a bit of interest without much effort. I find this polish lasts exceptionally well without a top coat. I do however use a base coat to protect my nails. If you're not in to sitting around painting layers and layers of polish, this stuff is great!

Love the texture!

I only ever buy OPI polishes - mainly cause of the colour range and the shape of the brush. Since liquid sand came out I have been obsessed. My fave has to be "Solitaire" its white with silver speckles.

I put on two coats and it dries relatively quickly - and if you accidentally touch something it's not an issue cause it has a rough sandy texture (for those OCD peeps) its not noticeable at all! The colour is opaque after two thick-ish coats.

The texture doesn't drive me nuts... I quite enjoy! It lasts forever and without a doubt the only downfall is removal. You need a lot of cotton squares to get this off.

Tips: Use the foil method to get this baby off!

Just googled what the foil method is. Wow it seems too good to be true! I'll keep this in mind next time I have some glittery polish. Thanks a bunch!

Amazing!!

These nail polishes are fantastic!! After using it for the first time I received so many compliments and people asking what nail polish I was wearing! It didn't chip for the two weeks I wore it and only negative was how difficult it was to take off. Overall a great nail polish in beautiful colours!

Tips: Don't use a top coat on this polish it ruins the look, this may seem obvious but it wasn't to me at the time lol!

OPI Sand

I use OPI Sand when I have to quickly do my nails and I'm running out of time.

This product is thick and gives a rough texture to your nails.

It's very hard to get off when you need to remove it but it's also quick drying and you don't need to make sure it's applied smoothly so I don't mind having to spend the extra time taking it off.

All OPI has good packaging which is simple but very effective.

OPI has just decreased it's prices which is AMAZING because now I don't fell as guilty when buying nail polish :)

If you keep your bottles out of the sun and sealed properly, they will last you up to a year and maybe even longer.

I have never found a nail polish as good as this brand and I would recommend it to anyone who asked my thoughts on nail polish brands.
