Disappointed

Bought these to try instead of nail polish remover. Eventhough the thin pads are well saturated i had to hold them on my toes and wipe quite vigorously to remove the nail polish and the fact the pads felt quite greasy i didn't like them. I will keep for convenience and use them up when i go away but wont buy them again as prefer a good old cotton wool pad and nail polish remover from a bottle.

Novel, but not useful.

I had used nail polish pads before so I anticipated these ones to work the same.

They come in a handy container which would be ideal for travel, upon opening the fragrance is so yummy - I brought the limited edition pineapple crush, soooo good!)

The paper thin pads can be a little difficult to get out so if its polish on your toes you are removing be prepared to loose polish on your fingernails while trying to separate them as they are stuck together very well.

Perhaps its my nail polishes that fight with the removal but 1 pad takes so long to remove even one nails worth. Once the polish is removed there is a film left on my nail - again this could be my polish but its time consuming and not what Im use to with liquid remover.

Theses pads do smell great and don't dry out cuticles and nails but the time and effort for removal is too much for me, so I wont be purchasing this brand again.

Tips: Even with not the best review, these still would make a nice addition to a gift especially if its a bundle of nail goodies you are putting together.

The Unpolished Truth

I paint my nails regularly and have used different forms of removers.

I have a particular penchant for the nail wipe, as I find it quite fiddly and splashy to use bottled remover and cotton pads.

The dip remover pottles are also good but it gets a little funky in there after a while- yuck!

These Manicare Nail Polish Remover Pads (limited edition) are a bit of a letdown, compared to the cheaper nail wipes I usually use.

The pads (32 in pottle)are damp with polish remover, like other nail wipes, and you just swipe over polish and, to Manicare's credit, they remove polish instantly (I use gel or ordinary polish, can't vouch for glitter etc).

It is difficult to gauge whether the extreme post-pad nail dryness of these wipes is a result of good stuff settling (Vitamin E, nail-brightening serum) or damage occurring. They purport to be moisturising and gentle -not my impression. They were definitely not brighter.

The scent is overpowering and hard to pinpoint. I would rather have a coconut or light fruit scent than the dusty-potpourri stink these wipes put out.

Visually, the product label is very busy with information and pattern. I prefer a simpler, sleeker packaging. It looks low-end with the white plastic tub, despite the attempts to look upmarket by employing a Bec & Bridge print.

These are fine but I wouldn't buy them if I could get a cheaper option ($4.99 rrp is fine but I've found cheaper, more effective pads/wipes).

Tips: perhaps apply some nail care serum after using as this formula is quite drying.

Didn’t enjoy product

Even tho this product is non messy. I didn’t enjoy using this to take of my nail polish, didn’t seem to remove all my nail polishes as fast or easily as a cotton ball does for myself.

Definitely will try this product again but not until I run out of my cotton wall

Fiddly

These wipes are handy for standard nail polish, but I mainly wear glittery polishes and these don’t budge them at all. They also stick to each other so it’s quite fiddly to get them apart.

Good to know! I might not bother if they’re that awkward :)

Convienant but not great

These are super convienant to have on hand but I’ve seen better results from clothing companies like Glassons. These are surprisingly greasy and I find I have to leave them on my nail to ‘soak’ but are overall quite weak. The smell is surprisingly good as far as fake coconut scents go

Manicure Nail Polish Remover Pads

I received this product for trial in the floral scented variant. There is a subtle, inoffensive floral scent to it. At the end of the day though, we're still dealing with a solvent here and I’m okay with that. The scent is a bit of a novelty but not something that’s essential for me when I’m looking for a nail polish remover.

The packaging is compact and practical. They come in a small white container with a secure screw top lid which should hopefully prevent the pads from drying out. I llike that it doesn’t take up much space on my already overlloaded dressing table!

Really though, nail polish remover is one of those essential basics that I don’t often put as much thought into as the polishes I choose. What’s most important to me is that they get the job done without too much effort on my part. These pads took off my black and dark brown polishes without a fuss. It takes about 2-3 pads on my nails to take them all off depending on the length of my nails. I guess that would work out more expensive over time. There are 32 pads per container and I never go out without painted nails.

I found the process a little messy, but I am used to using express remover containers with the sponges inside. Ultimately though nail polish is messy business and I’m not complaining.

I think these will be great for travel as they are small and easy to throw in your bag. I think I will keep a stash of these at home for that reason.

Tips: Just be careful when you’re first pulling them out of the container. They stick together and are thinner than you expect. The first time I used them, I grabbed three at once and started using them together without realising.

Manicure nail Polish remover pads

I received a pack of these in my we love nails box and boy I'm glad I did. I'm not sure how but I had never heard of these before but I'm so glad I now know they exist. The pack is small and great to chuck in the handbag or for travelling. They have a pleasant smell unlike normal nail polish remover. It was a wee bit tricky getting just one out but I managed to remove the polish off all ten nails with just the one pad which was great. I had two coats on plus glitter and top coat. I was extremely impressed that it removed even the glitter polish without too much difficulty. They also left my nails moisturized and not dry like some removers do. I will definitely be buying these again as they are just so convenient and easy to use.

Stink-free remover

I got these nail polish remover pads in the 'We Love Nails' beauty box.

They come in a cute tin with red flowers on the lid, that looks like something more soft and sweet than you'd normally associate with nail polish remover.

I don't like anything strong or smelly, and the primary ingredient in most nail products gives me migraines so I tend to steer away from polishes, polish remover, and, now it also turns out, nail strengthener.

Anyhoo, after trying out the strengthener I needed to remove it so gave these remover pads a try.

The first pleasant surprise was the nice mild scent they have, and nothing smelly or irritating (I got the floral scent). The second surprise was that they removed the strengthener very thoroughly and easily - brilliant.

I completely recommend these to anyone who likes painting their nails but doesn't like the smelly removers. The extra bonus is that they are easy to transport, with no chance of spillage.

If I was putting anything on my nails I would most certainly purchase these for removal.

Pretty smell!

Came in a nice small handy container. Took me awhile to open it, I used a knife to open, then I found the little tag to rip open. The smell was pleasant and you wouldn't even know that it was for removing polish. This product removed my polish quite well on myself but with my daughters old polish it took abit of a good scrubbing to remove. Overall I liked how it didn't have a strong smell was small enough to have in my handbag without worrying about leaking.
