Maybelline Express Finish Nail Polish

I've got quite a few colours in this range and have always found that they last longer than most nail polishes, and really does dry quickly (although i wouldnt say its totally set in 60seconds). Great range of colours and a good price!

It does indeed dry quickly & the price is good & colour range good. It did chip fairly quickly though & peels easily. Though I do use the clear as a base coat & that works awesomely.

This nail polish definitely dries quicker than most other polishes I have tried. Though it needs a bit longer than 50 seconds to fully dry and prevent a textured look when you accidentally touch your clothes. It is hard wearing however and I can go 4-5 days before it starts chipping.

The downside is that it is quite thin so you can see the brushstrokes - so three coats is better than two.

I have this nail polish in the "Ruby Star" shade which is a lovely reddish purple colour, with a metallic finish. I would buy this nail polish again in another shade if I saw it on special.

I own this product in a vibrant red colour. For the most part I really LOVE it!

Firstly the colour saturation is great. You can get away with one coat if you want too (although I always like to apply two by habit!).

The brush is a good width, it is not thin and hard to apply but also not so wide like some where it is too wide for the little finger nail!. This brush will cover my nail in 2 brush strokes.

It really does dry fast! Surprisingly fast! The product claims 50 seconds. I always start with my thumb, by the time I reach my little finger on the same hand they are ready to start a second coat, it's great!

The only real downside I have found with this product is that for me it does not last overly long on my nails and does chip prettily easily. I do not do any heavy work with my hands and I usually get 1-2 days out of an application before it chips.

As for shelf life - this polish started going gluggy and thick after roughly 6 months (stored in a draw out of sunlight).

I don't often apply nail polish. I am so rough and it chips away but when I do it's always for an occasion and I expect it to last at least the night. This is probably a good bet for lasting the night. No further. It honestly dries very fast. That I agree with. Which is great especially for me after putting the kids to bed and getting ready to head out in a flash. But that's it... The following morning my nails are left looking worse for wear.. shower time is also another test it fails as the polish practically falls off. In terms of colour two coats was enough I usually apply three as I like it to colour in my nail and not be "see through" or have that thin appearance that one coat tends to have... I find this with most polishes though. So I can only recommend this if you can get it at a cheap price (like I did) and have low expectations. Nothing on other brands like O.P.I and Essie which tend to last days so are probably worth the price you pay.

I grabbed a couple of these during my last clearance bin rummage $4 each couldn't resist.

My first thought when I began to apply this polish was I don't like this brush, the bristles seem a little stiff & small. I can't get an even first coat without a base coat, this polish formula is a little on the thinnner side and likes a smooth surface to begin with otherwise the first coat is patchy.

This polish does dry really fast, the first coat I find dries in around about 1 minute while a second coat takes a few more minutes to dry. The pigment of these polishes is dense and wear-wise I think it's pretty standard 2-4 days before obvious chipping occurs.

Overall quality I would say this polish is on the better side of average, I wouldn't pay the RRP $12.99 for these but I would grab a few more if I spotted them on sale again.

It definitely dries very quickly, but I feel it's more like a few minutes than just 50 seconds. That said, it's still way quicker than other nail polishes that I use. However I find that it's easier to chip off than other nail polish. If I'm lucky I only need to do a repaint after 2 days. There was once when it chipped after a couple of hours!! So if I use this by itself, then I would do two or even three thin coats. However I would more commonly use this for base and top coat, and use another brand (often OPI) for colour.

Unfortunately the claim of 50 seconds to dry wasn't true. I purchased the most amazing amethyst colour in this range, whipped it on super fast on way out but before I even got into the cab I had it smudged. The application was great, not faults there, the brush is nice and slimlined making for straight edges and even coverage, and the formula is nice and fluid with good pigmentation.

I have a few of these polishes and they don't dry in 50 seconds, but do dry in a reasonable time. Why do brands insist on making these crazy claims they can't fulfill...? A good standard nail polish nothing amazing but not awful either. I find the last a little while but not as long as other polish brands, have never had the polish last chip free all week. They apply smoothly but the two shades I have are sheerer than I would like but that's variable among the shades.
