Not for me :(

It certainly gave me a "natural" matte coverage because my face pretty much WAS natural lol it didn't seem to give me much coverage at all! I could still clearly see my blemishes and pink cheeks. I think I would have to use the whole stick to give a flawless look. In saying that, I don't think a stick would last very long at all, even just trying to achieve a more natural look. It didn't last long - my skin is oily so maybe that had something to do with it - and didn't blend well with fingertips, as recommended on the packaging. I was impressed with the range of shades tho.

Tips: Blend with a damp sponge to avoid streaking!

IN LOVE

Well this is my daily go to product. I use it for a range of things. Firstly I use as a foundation. I find it has fantastic coverage. Secondly I use them as contouring sticks! Double use which makes it more bang for your buck x

5 minute flawless face!

I am all for no-fuss easy foundation application, and while I do adore my Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Liquid Make Up, this new offering from Maybelline does not disappoint. Lightweight finish, matte, and no-fuss application, this has been my go-to foundation for almost a week now and I don't think I'll switch back to anything else for my everyday makeup. It's so complicated to use a liquid foundation when you've got only minutes to spare before going to work/school, and this one does the trick! The stick formulation glides easily and blends in well, doesn't feel tacky or heavy at all. Highly recommended if you love matte finishes (rather than dewy ones) Good job Maybelline :)

Tips: Add light layers (and do little pat-pat-pat motions with your fingers) onto parts where you want more coverage -trust me, it does help (it also blends out really well and doesn't budge for a good half a day) but if you want something to last from morning 'til night add a dose of good 'ol primer and you're all set.

Shine- Free

I have very oily skin and no “drug store” foundation has ever suited my skin so when this came out I was very excited to try it. This was my first time ever using a stick foundation so I wasn’t sure what to expect, I always had the misconception that stick foundations were hard to blend and extremely dry. The Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick however proved me wrong. It applied smoothly, had a creamy consistency and was easy to blend. I applied it directly from the stick then buffed it in with an angled buffing brush. It has medium coverage but it is buildable, I like full coverage so I just applied a little bit more. It had a silky powdery finish but didn’t feel like it had set so I applied some powder over the top. There were no shiny areas visible during the day except I did notice that my skin looked patchy and the foundation had moved in some places of my face. I moisturised well in the morning however the foundation had caught on to some dry patches of my face and this was pretty obvious. For the rest of the time trialling this product, I applied lots of moisturiser and a bit of powder under the foundation just to stop it from sliding off my face and moving around. This did make my makeup look a bit cakey but it wasn’t too bad. The foundation was still easy to blend even over the powder which was great! I could still notice some visible dry patches and on warmer days there was a tiny bit of shine visible on my nose. Overall, this shine-free foundation is in fact shine free however it does take a little bit of trial and error in getting it perfect.

Tips: Apply a really good moisturiser.

Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Stick Foundation

I was a little skeptical before I used this as it was a stick foundation and I had never tried anything other than liquid and powder foundation. I really liked how easy it was to "draw" on my face and then blend in. I found the colour to be a perfect matched and was really happy with the product and want to keep using it :)

Fit Me Foundation Stick

I originally bought this thinking it was a concealer. I swatched it on my hand and immediately loved that it wasn't goopy. It reminds me of their dream matte mousse. The foundation provides medium coverage so balances out my uneven skin tone, is really easy to apply and blend, so I don't end up with patches I've missed or a line at my jaw. It also does control shine (I love when products do what they say they will!) and I don't need blotting papers halfway through the day like I usually do

Tips: I've found it works best with primer underneath.

Not the foundation for me

Firstly, thank you BR for the opportunity to trial this!

This foundation is probably not something I would purchase again. After trying to apply it multiple ways including moisturising/priming etc, the foundation seems to cling to any dry skin I have and just makes my skin look awful! It does have a nice matte finish which is great though. I would probably look at purchasing this in a lighter colour and using it for contouring but it just didn't work for me as a full face foundation.

Tips: It definitely helps to use primer first! :)

Shine free but definitely not perfecting

I have been wanted to try this for a while so was pleased to receive this for review. I have combination skin which usually gets quite oily towards the end of the day so I thought this might be a great foundation for me. I found it definitely lived up to it's shine free claim, but I also found it quite drying. I would say the coverage would be about medium, it evened out my skin tone but didn't cover any blemishes. I used my regular primer, I didn't feel I needed any powder to set it with as it had quite a matte finish. I did use a setting spray though. I applied it by striping it over my face and used a flat top kabuki brush to stipple it onto my skin. Usually I would buff my foundation in but I found this difficult to get an even coverage. I could not seem to get it to sit smoothly on my skin and the finish wasn't the best. It seemed to last okay, although I found it settled in some areas but I have yet to find a good foundation that doesn't do this on me anyway. The colour match was great, not too yellow or not too pink based. Overall I don't think this is something I would repurchase, it didn't really agree with my skin type and didn't really offer me the coverage I prefer.

Tips: Despite this being shine free and probably intended for oilier skin, maybe using a more moisturizing base or primer would help prevent it being too drying.

New makeup bag essential!

I absolutely ADORE this foundation stick, it's prefect! I've always had trouble finding the right foundation because I am so pale, plus if I use liquid I get too shiny but powder does nothing for me, so for years I've been using liquid with powder on top. However, this is a perfect product for me, as it is gel and powder together, so I get a really good coverage that doesn't leave me too shiny or chalky looking - PLUS it comes in my pasty pasty shade!! I fell in love with it from the moment I first swatched it - it is velvety smooth and blends in to your skin beautifully. Personally I just chuck it on with no primer, bb creme or moisturiser or anything and blend it with my Manicare beauty sponge and it gives me flawless skin! Definitely love! The only thing is it runs out quickly but it is quite affordable for such an amazing product so I don't mind :)

Tips: BLEND!

Shine-Free but will not purchase again!

The Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free foundation stick is definitely shine free but I would not recommend this, it does not have the coverage that I think it should, for women like me that have blemishes this foundation is not for you, I think its for women that have reasonably clear skin to start with.

Tips: If you are going to buy this foundation, I think you need to also buy a primer, and if your skin has blemishes I think you will also need to use a concealer with this foundation.
