MAC VIVA GLAM Lipsticks Review

I have this lipstick in the shade Viva Glam Rihanna, and I absolutely adore it.

The shade is a gorgeous frosted Christmas red. It has the classic MAC vanilla scent which I love. The lipstick is nice and creamy and just glides over the lips. The lipstick does not tug on the lips or settle into the lines on the lips. I find that this lipstick lasts all day throughout eating and drinking as well.

The packaging on the lipstick is also gorgeous. It is in a matte deep red bullet, which shines a brighter red in the light. It looks gorgeous sitting in my lipstick holder!

Aside from the packaging everything else about the Viva Glam edition lipsticks is the same as the regular MAC lipsticks.

The packaging is the selling point for me on this one, the outer casing is the same black but the inside barrel is red and the MAC logo wording is red on the outer casing. Other than that this is exactly the same as the original MAC lipsticks, with their long lasting colour, smooth creamy application and faint vanilla scent.

No feathering or bleeding without a liner and it isn’t drying like some matte lipsticks. I’m a fan of the matte finish and so was really impressed with MAC’s matte formula for giving that full lip, intense bold colour but not sacrificing on the hydration of your lips which I think comes from the fact that when applying this lipstick it is in a creamy state that dries to the matte. The only downside is that these can be a little too creamy making them easily melt able in prolonged sun & heat exposure so take care to store out of these direct sources.

Im not really a bright color lipstick type of person, I tend to buy allot of nudes, but I figured every girl needs a red lipstick (or two) in their life

This is a lovely color, its not too drying and stay really well. I did find I needed a lip pencil to keep it tidy but still really impressed with this product

It is no secret that I am a MAC girl and this new lipstick looks lovely with my other babies.

This fun vibrant pink lipstick is gorgeous. It does remind me of my "Girl About Town" mac lipstick but fades better. Does that make sense? What I mean is as it comes off (which it does) the colour softens and I like it just as much if not more as it leaves a ghost like pink kiss on your lips (I should be a poet)

As with all the Viva Celeb range it was Miley's signature on it and the distinctive red and black case we all know from the Viva Glam range.

I am loving this lipstick and would highly recommend going and testing this puppy out!! I have no idea if it is out in NZ yet but go try it for yourself. Especially if you are a fan of the pink shades mac does.

Super nice lipstick. Absolutely love MAC lipsticks and this one is definitely no exception. The colour payoff is incredible and the actual lipstick smells amazing which is great. They are pretty expensive but the quality is unbeatable.

Mac's Viva Glam II has to be one of my all time favourite lipsticks. I have major issues when it comes to nude lipsticks, especially when it comes to the lightness of the lipstick but Viva Glam II is my absolute favourite nude lipstick at the moment.

It is great for people with a light to medium skintone like myself and I feel as though it would suit a wide variety of different skintones.

I believe the formula is a satin finish which has to be my favourite Mac finish. It is the perfect balance between matte and glossy and looks quite natural on the lips.

Of course, like most Mac lipsticks, the pigmentation is amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new nude lippie.

I received the Viva Glam Rihanna lipstick for my birthday last year. It's not a lipstick I would have picked up myself because it has two things I'm not too fond of - micro shimmers and a frosted finish but surprisingly I love it!

It's a soft blue based red which from afar can give off an orange hue. It's packaged in a rubberised red tube which is stunning! Looking at the product I immediately thought I'd hate it but once swatched it's a gorgeous blend of red that's not too shimmering and perfect for a night out.

You don't feel the shimmers on your lips which is quite important to me. The frost isn't as intense as some frosts I've seen by MAC but it has a sheen that just adds to the effect of the shimmers when in the light.

The longevity is quite good it lasts about 4-5 hours without eating or drinking and only slight bleeding. I have the matching lipglass which really completes the look but any gloss with high shine would really do. Every time I wear this it reminds me of those delicious glossy caramel red apples.

I managed to get my hot little hands on this lippy! The colour is a nice bright light fuchsia pink. I have a thing for MAC lippys and this one is no exception. I love this colour it's nice and bright and is one I wear when I want to stand out. The wear is really good like the normal MAC lippys and I don't find this formula tends to bleed. I can wear this all day and only have to touch it up 2-3 times in the day to keep it looking really good. I goes on nicely and is a pleasure to wear.
