I love my MAC Lipsticks. Often they're unique colours that you don't see from other brands. They're also extremely pigmented and come out on your lips just as they are in the tube. The one criticism I have is that 'Snob' seems to run out really quickly. It applies quite thickly on my lips and I don't know how to avoid it.

Tips: Exfoliate your lips before applying as the thick formula (particularly for satin/matte finishes) will show dead skin.
This is just a review for the Matte's of Mac, I personally find the duration of the lip stick lasts for 7+ hours even after eating or drinking. And leaves a slick matte finish on the lip add a bit of lip liner and it just makes the lips pop put! I love it and i will always keep using it, try guys!
Tips: Apply a soft line of lip liner (same colour as chosen lipstick) and this will help keep the colour on your lips and give it a clean line around the lips for the lipstick to be applied easily.
I recently purchased my first ever MAC lipstick, and it made me wonder what I have been doing with my life up until this point!!! Creamy, smells lovely, sleek packaging and super staying power!! I bought MAC red, and it is the perfect, classic blue-red. Could not be any happier!
The MAC lipstick range is my go to lipsticks when I want to update my look or need something special for a night out. They are so pigmented and true to colour. The retro matte can get a little dry on the lips, they last a long time and can stain the lips. They have endless colours for everyone if your unsure go to the counter they have never put me wrong.
Tips: The retro matte tends to be a little dry so if you have fine lines or cracked lips make sure you exfoliate them first and apply a balm first. Pricey but worth it if you know anyone going to America beg them to buy them there
I love my middle end brands so it's no surprise that MAC is one of my favourites.
Cremesheen is by far my favourite formula of the MAC lippys. My most recent purchase is Pure Zen and it's the most beautiful nude I've ever seen.
The colour range of MAC lipsticks is incredible and the pigmentation is amazing! The staying power is pretty long wearing but matte lipsticks do tend to dry and peel away quicker then other formulas.
Tips: Always buy from MAC itself to ensure you own the real deal.
I love the smell almost to the point of wanting to taste. The scent is sort of like a vanilla stick you use for cooking and it glides in smoothly. I love the natural shades like peachstok and myth are my favz as they make my lips look more plump without any brightness. The downside is that it can be a bit high priced but if I can buy a coffee a week I can sure buy a mac lippy, a must have for any women
Tips: Use a lip liner to pencil shape of the lippy
MAC lipsticks are great - I own so many of them. There are so many shades to choose from it can often be overwhelming so I always get advice from the MAC crew at the stores. There are shades and finishes to suit everyone and all seasons. The creamsheen and lustre finishes are more creamy and feel more moisturising than the matte colours but you can always add a clear gloss over the matte to make it more moisturising. I love MAC lipsticks so much that I've just got my Mum onto buying them too!
Tips: Don't keep them in your pocket, as they can warm up and melt. I've had a couple break off in the past so now I am very careful about not letting them get too warm.
I am a relatively new Mac-aholic! I currently own Russian Red, Craving, Viva Glam Rihanna, Girl About Town and Rebel (also have Kelly Yum Yum on the way!). I adore the vanilla scent and awesome slick packaging. I am pretty happy with the staying power of them, have only marked it down slightly as some seem to last longer than others. I love how there is such a large range of colours and also the special limited edition packaged ones are so cute!
Tips: Once I have applied my lipstick, I put my finger in my mouth, close my lips around it and then pull my finger out....sounds weird but it stops me getting lipstick on my teeth!
I was so generously spoilt rotten by the lovely Colleen who sent me craving as a random act of kindness and now I can say that I am completely addicted!
Firstly, the packaging is so sleek and simple. Although its simple it is of extremely high quality and there is no chance of this breaking easily or the lid coming off unexpectedly. This is great because you definitely want your $40 lipstick to be protected. The only thing is the colour isn't identifiable from the tube so if you're lucky enough to have quite a collection then I can see that being a problem.
The formula of the lipstick itself is unlike any other I have used before and as soon as I had it on my lips I understood exactly what all the hype was about. It is the most pigmented lippy I have by far and it is so velvety smooth when applied. It is incredibly nourishing and when it eventually does fade (after a fair few hours) it fades really naturally so no lipstick rings! My most favourite part though would have to be the scent - it smells like vanilla! DELICIOUS!
The shade I have is called craving and is a beautiful raspberry red. I think this shade is pretty universal as a few ladies I know have it and it looks beautiful on all of them. If you are starting out your MAC collection and are looking for something that is sophisticated and still wearable on an every day basis this is the shade for you.
I am absolutely head over heels in love and I plan on buying many more shades!
I recently succumbed to temptation and bought my first MAC lipstick: a cremesheen finish, in the shade "Hot Gossip".
This particular shade is a beautiful mid-tone pink that on me is a perfect, slightly deeper, MLBB (my lips but better) shade. It does have some shimmer, but it's in no way frosty or glittery (I really dislike those finishes), and it really just adds to the slightly glossy look when it's applied.
The formula is looooooovely: creamy, easy to apply, buildable (one swipe is an even but light coat of colour, but it can be built up very quickly to full opacity), and it smells great! I now understand why people rave about the MAC lipstick smell - it's like a subtle warm vanilla.
The lasting power is good for such a creamy formula, in my opinion. I can get about 4 hours wear before reapplying, although that is obviously less if I eat or have a coffee.
It is expensive, that is true. However, the formula and shade range is so good that I think it's worth it, particularly when you consider how expensive many 'drugstore' brand lipsticks can be - Revlon ones are up around the $30 mark sometimes, which isn't that much less than this!
To sum up: I'm already trying to think up a plausible excuse to buy another one. Shhhh....
