Tips: For a crisp line with your lippy use a Mac liner before applying your lipstick
I think MAC have a fantastic range of lipsticks. At the moment I own Russian Red, Sweetie, Rebel, Snob, Hot Tahiti, Odyssey and Chatterbox! They are my absolutely favourite - there is such a wide range to cater for many different looks and skin complexions. They last all night if you wear them of an evening and thus while they are quite pricey, you get a lot of use out of them.
Tips: I always make sure to wear MAC lip liner over my darker shades for greater longevity - make sure to colour in your whole lip rather than just outlining the edges. Also, my Russian Red can get slightly dry (but don't get me wrong I still love it!) so I apply some Lucas PaPaw Ointment underneath to give the lipstick more moisture for easier application.
I finally took the plunge and purchased my first MAC lipstick. I ordered online and had it shipped from the US. My colour of choice was Riri Woo. I am totally in love! This lippie is beautiful. The colour is amazing, it feels amazing on my lips and it lasts for hours!! I can't wait to expand my collection! So many amazing colours to choose from.
I have the shade 'Ravishing', which is a light coral/orange shade perfect for daily wear. You can apply a lip liner for long lasting or wear it as a sheer colour. I love how you can change the shade ever so slightly by wearing a pink lip liner to make it more pink, a nude liner to make it a shade lighter and a true orange liner to make it more vibrant! The smell of these lipsticks are phenomenal! I would definitely recommend MAC lippies but be careful before buying these as they are quite pricey so make sure you know what shade your getting. I also like how they have such a HUGE shade and finish range that it would be impossible to find your perfect shade/colour!
Tips: Wear a lip liner to make it last longer and change the shade a little
Apply a gloss to make your lips look glossier
Make sure your lips are exfoliated before applying the lipsticks as some may catch on to dry lips and look quite unpleasant
I just recently purchased my first mac lippy! i love it but now i want more! the consistency and stay power is incredible and well worth the price! i go the Ravishing one and its such a nice colour for every day makeup, perfect for work. I just cant wait to get more :)
Tips: Use a lip liner to line your lips then colour in your lips with the liner itl help it stay on even longer
I haven't bought MAC lippy in forever so I decided to treat myself and went & bought Ruby Woo & Girl About Town - I wish I had done this sooner!! The colours are divine and so long lasting! This is the lippy you can pop on and not worry about smearing - even after lunch!! I had forgotten I was wearing it and scoffed back a burger and to my surprise I hadn't smeared it half way across my face - it does not budge!!
Tips: I pop some lip balm on before applying and do a little top up every few hours to keep my lips looking slick and fabulous! Also a lip liner will keep it looking even more fab throughout the day!
As with most MAC products, the lipsticks are also fab. They have great staying power and are really pigmented. The best thing is the range of colors they have. With my skintone (NW35- but it changes), I sometimes find it hard to find the right shade- but I think MAC caters to girls from the South Asian continent very well.
Tips: Use a brush when applying- makes for a much cleaner finish.
I own two MAC lipsticks, Rebel and Media. Rebel is one of their more popular darker colours. I know plenty of girls of all different skin colours who own and rock this lipstick! It's such a universal berry, plum colour- perfect for those Autumn and Winter days. Media is a dark brown/red with a hint of plum- it's a bit more vampy than rebel and I find myself reaching for it when I go out at night. Both of these lipsticks are satin finishes which I personally love as they don't look glossy or matte- they're the perfect in-between finish that is suitable for day and night. The other thing I love about MAC lipsticks is that they are extremely pigmented and long lasting! My lips have quite a dark pigmentation so lipsticks are often a hit/miss thing with me. With other lipsticks I've found they look amazing in the tube but on my lips they only offer a hint of colour but one swipe of Rebel or Media and the coverage and opacity is perfect! Even after eating the colour is still very vivid and it doesn't need much of a touch up at all. Overall I am very impressed with my MAC lipsticks and they were well worth the money.
Tips: Use a lipliner in a similar colour so your lipstick doesn't feather!
Amazing wear, amazing look. Some colours were slightly off what I thought, but still look good. I love the lustre, matte and frost finishes. Brilliant to keep in handbags and clutches.
Tips: If money is an issue, choose wisely, as MAC is high end and pricey.
I have a wide range of Mac lipsticks and I absolutely love all of them. I use them on my clients, the pigments and range of colours are great, the vanilla smell they all have is really yummy too. I would recommend using a lip liner to help stop it from bleeding and to last longer. Russian Red is a personal favorite of mine to use on myself, makes blue eyes pop!
Tips: Can be used as a blush as well :)
