Maybelline Color Whispers Review

I love super pigmented, bright lipstick. This is not one of those! It's title really is true, you only get a whisper of colour! If that was what I wanted I would've purchased a lipgloss instead. I do not recommend buying this product as it has hardly any colour payoff and feels sticky when applied.

I have the orange shade and t's a super wearable pop of colour. Very moisturising and sheer. LOVE IT

Very sheer coverage. Doesn't add much colour, but gives a nice shine. Doesn't really feel very smooth on my lips.

My boyfriend got me a two pack of these lipsticks the colour I have looked like a dark plummy red or brown when I took off the lid and looked at it the lid was a bright red. I have it on my lips and it feels nice like a balm hydrating my lips. I do not know why they have described it as "pure pigments" as this suggests that its strongly pigmented and a solid colour the fact is its actually very sheer and subtle you can try build the intensity but this is more of a lip tint to be honest. They smell nice though the price above is okay but now that I know they are a tint I would not pay that for them nice feeling on the lips nice packaging but it is not really a lip stick its a lip tint.

I bought this of NZ SALE thinking that this was matte. (I obviously didn't read it too well because it definitely wasn't). I have the color lilac, and i must admit that i really did end up liking this lipstick even though its not what i thought it was.

The lipstick if very moistening, and i can get very dry, chapped lips so this works very well.

Its a great lipstick if you like a more softer color. The color looks very vibrant when you buy it but as soon as you use it, its far from that. I admit i did buy this because it is hard to get a very vibrant color and this didn't end up being that.

Overall though, this lipstick is great if you are just getting out of the house as it gives your lips a nice, soft color. I would definitely recommend this product.

I purchased one of these on sale in shade #10 'Bare to be Bold'.

The formula is nice and hydrating but I find it goes on patchy. The colour is not very pigmented at all. I did gather this product would only be a sheer colour but this is barely there at all.

I think some of the other shades could be better, looking at swatches I appear to have purchased a particularly sheer one.

If you are looking for a sheer lightly pigmented light weight gloss then this might suit you but it wasn't for me. I actually wound up adding it to my daughters 'play' makeup kit :)

These are so patchy on my lips! I know they aren't supposed to be a matte finish or anything but they just highlighted the lines in my lips so much. I also found the gloss finish quite sticky and they didn't last more than 2 hours even without eating.

When i purchased a few different colours of these online i expected them to be a bit more pigmented, instead upon application most of the shades take a long time to build up and by the time you have a nice colour it's just a little too glossy for my personal preference. They are great for wearing over top of another matte lip colour or stain though if you want a bit of a glossy finish!

I have two shades in this range 70 and 95. I really like the packaging of these lipsticks and they r slimmer then a usual lipstick size. When first opening these i thought that they would be pigemented but not really more of a soft colour of pink. They do apply really smoothly and feel very moisturizing to my lips like a lip balm. The lasting power of these are abit of a let down didnt last longer at all. Wouldn't buy these again as for me i like lipsticks to be the exact same colour and pigment as you see on the lipstick itself.

I first bought these when I wanted to start wearing more lipsticks - but nothing too intense and obvious. I have since purchased quite a few more in a variety of colours. They are super lightweight and not too pigmented, but you can quite easily build up the colour. I find they are really moisturising, nice and glossy, and don't cling to dry patches on my lips (which is great!). The downside is that they don't seem to stay on very long (especially if you are eating/drinking) - so you definitely need to reapply!

Great for the price though, and such a range of colours!
