Colour drama for sure

I recently purchased In With Coral and wow, the colour is amazing! It's so vibrant and bright. Quite a bit brighter than I would normally wear, but I am getting used to it. These lip pencils are super pigmented, and I found that I only needed one coat.

My lips tend to be on the dry side and the product clung to the drier patches - definitely pays to put on lip balm before hand.

Tips: Use lip balm before applying!

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil

I tried this in conjuction with the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick. Now the two colours I recieved were not a match but I tried them seperately and together to get a feel for how each product worked.

The Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil was superior out of the two. It's colour was stronger and did not smudge so easily. The pigmentation was good and the finished look was strong. The Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil also had decent longevity on the lips and made the lipstick last longer as well.

The Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil was creamy to apply and came out as a solid colour. This meant a bit of transfer did happen but it fortunately didn't mess up the look.

It terms of its packaging and presentation it is essentially a big pencil with a softer tip than eye pencils. This means that it is quite big for a lip liner but too small to be a lipstick which makes it an interesting product in terms of how you decide to use it.

Love the price and the range of colours

I own four different colours of these Maybelline Lip Pencils - Nude Perfection, Minimalist, Love Me Pink. and Berry Much. My favourite thing about this product is definitely the price. They are super cheap and you can usually get them even cheaper when Farmers is having a sale.

Overall the formula is creamy and they are very pigmented, except for the Minimalist shade. This shade is a shimmery light pink colour. I found that this colour felt more waxy and was harder to apply. The pigmentation wasn't great either, and I had to swipe it multiple times to get any pay off. I wouldn't repurchase this shade.

However the other three colours that I've tried are excellent. They all have the same sweet scent which reminds me of raspberries. They generally last quite well and when they do fade it does so evenly.

I'm not particularly fond of any makeup product that comes in a pencil form because I hate having to sharpen them. However for the price of these I'm happy to compromise.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking to try a range of different lip colours without wanting to spend a lot of money.

Decent lip pencils for a semi matte finish

Snapped a few of these up during a recent Farmers promotion on Maybelline of buy 3 for the price of 2, but my Farmers only had the 4 I purchased at the time.

These short, chunky crayon type pencils has a soft, velvet based "lead" colour to them that is cased in word and plastic black wrapping, with the colour of pencil stamped on the bottom. They also come with a clear acrylic lid that firmly sits onto of the pointed end. I found that the colour pay off with every one I own is pretty intense, but allows you to build the colour up further so you can have a subtle or drama impact look. The formula is creamy to apply, and doesn't flake, bleed or feather into your lips. Setting to an almost matte finish means it hugs your lips for a longer lasting pout. I enjoy using these as lip prime colours, then placing another lipstick or gloss over top for a longer lasting wear look. I would take care when you go to sharpen them though as the formula is creamy and could be a bother to sharpen so pop them into the freezer for a few minutes to ensure that the colour is solid will aid this task.

Pink So Chic - Soft rose shade of pink, dusky Nude Perfection - Peachy nude shade Light It Up - Blue based true red shade Minimalist - Natural nude pink toned shade

great for the price

I have 4 of these at home, and they are some of my favorites. I got them for buy one get one free so, 3 for 20 dollars which was a great deal. They go on nicely and make your lips feel quite smooth. On the downside they wear off quite quickly so you have to reapply often. They also come in pencil form so can be a pain to keep sharpening them as you lose some of the product. Over all I would recommend them, but I have had alot better lipsticks.

nice texture

These are a good price and have a great texture however they are a little drying being matte as you may expect and the scent is lovely like slightly vanilla scented. These have a habit of clinging to my teeth which I am always paranoid about. I also wish there were more shades the reds are lovely but a blackened not so purple wine would be great as would a true nude. The nude shade is incredibly orange and unflattering on me. Worth a try if you want any easy to apply no liner required matte lip look.

Yea.. I'd use it..

I have a couple of these lip products and I must say that they are not the best lipsticks I have used.. Yes they are cute and little but too me they weren't anything 'WOW' yea I'd still use it if they were just there but I don't find myself reaching out for this or putting it in my handbag.. They kinda just stay at the back of all my lipsticks.. I do like the formula but I feel like the colours aren't anything different or unique.. Also I don't like that it needs to be sharpened! :)
