I quite like this foundation, although it didn’t really last the 24 hours that it promises.
The consistency is quite thin, and it doesn’t have much of a scent. I found the easiest way to apply this is with a beauty blender, as it went quite patchy with a foundation brush.
It is definitely medium coverage, and it was somewhat buildable for me. I tried this with and without a primer, and it definitely lasted longer with the primer. I would also recommend a setting powder, although I don’t think it’s completely necessary.
I found it lasted about 12 hours with the primer, and only about 8 or so without. It started to get quite patchy and rubbed off.
However this could just be a weird reaction with my skin, which I would consider normal. It would probably last quite well on people with really dry skin. I have also noticed some breakouts on my forehead and nose after wearing this for a couple of days, but they have gone away now.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to people with really dry skin, as I’m sure it would definitely be closer to holding up the 24 hour promise. I think people with normal to dry skin should try it too, because it does look really nice, especially for the first few hours after it was applied.
This is a great foundation…for somebody else. Unfortunately, this foundation has a very limited shade range. It fails to cater for the very fair, as well as those with deep skin tones. I trialled 202 Creamy Natural which is the ‘lightest’ shade for warm undertones. Honestly, it looked orange on me. Admittedly, I am extremely pale. My perfect fit is Nars Sheer Glow in Siberia. I feel that I should point out that I knew that this shade would be terrible for me but, I wanted to test the formula.
The formula was amazing! It has a radiant finish that gives a subtle glow to the skin. The foundation does not accentuate any pores and sits nicely on the skin. This formula, when used with a makeup sponge, is easy to blend and build. It has a nice medium coverage that does not feel heavy.
Aside from the shade range my only negative is that the packaging can get a little messy as the foundation is very runny. The foundation has a tendency to spill out of the nozzle when it is upright. So, naturally, I store this upside down.
Ultimately, if L’oreal extended their shade range I would repurchase this beauty in a fairer shade.
