I am a big fan of eyeliners and a friend of mine suggested this to me. I picked up at a supermarket and once I've tried it I fell in love with it. Because it is a gel liner it doesn't smudge as a pencil one normally would and it doesn't take long to dry compared to liquid liners. I use it everyday and actually has a good staying power. It is good for doing cat eyes. It does not dry out in the pot as well unlike my other gel liner which is a plus for Maybelline. My only problem with this is the brush because I think it is too soft. Luckily, I have a couple of brushes that works fine with this liner.

I love that this liner is long lasting. I have oily eyelids and this is the only liner I've ever tried that actually lasts all day! Not too keen on the brush it comes with. I love the little glass jar though, cute. I have found that sometimes the product "cracks" but other than that I'd recommend it to a friend :)
Tips: Have a cotton bud or two and some make up remover handy, just in case you mess up, its quite hard to remove once applied
I used to use this everyday until it dried up and I didnt know how to fix it :( I loved the way it lasted all day and the colour was super pigmented. It wouldn't smudge and could be easily removed with eye make up remover. It's a perfect little eyeliner when it doesn't dry up. I didnt like the brush it came with as I felt I couldn't really get the perect cat eyeliner with it so I just used an angled eye shadow brush.
I have used 3 black jars and 2 brown-black ones. This is the eyeliner that changes my perspectives on gel liner. It's smooth and can create various effects: natural, dramatic or edgy. It's my everyday liner. Pros: - good price at great quantity and quality (believe me you would never use it up unless you are a professional) - long lasting - comes with a brush
Cons: - it's not totally water-proof in my opinion, may not last all day long if you have oily skin - the brush is not easy to use for beginners, I think the producers should provide an angled brush instead
Tips: remember to close the lid carefully or the gel may get dry fast. But if the liner gets dry, mix it up with a little vaseline (just a little)
Awesome product! Took me a while to get the hang of it but once i did it's now a go to eyeliner! only downside is the brush that comes with it is rather thick and wasn't good for simple thin line but that's easily fixed by using a different brush. Last long and high pigment quality!
Tips: For a thick line use the brush given, only use a small amount when applying
So I have been giving gel liners a chance to try something new. So far I have tried Rimmel and now on to Maybelline. I found that Rimmel gel liner would imprint on my eyelids throughout the day and heard that Maybelline does not. So here is what I think..
I do think it is rather pricey, but I was lucky and got mine on sale at Countdown. $18 would be a more reasonable price for this product. The packaging is nice but I think the pot holding the gel is a little miss leading; I thought I was going to get more than what was in the glass pot, but just a trick of the eye from when it was in the packaging.
Application was okay, I found the brush is a little bit too thick and the gel is the same but I do expect the gel too get more thin/soft the more I use it. If you make a mistake, get a makeup/baby wipe and fix it immediately or you will struggle as I did to fix it without having to start over. I found I needed two layers to get the nice thick bold black look, and it does look amazing when you succeed.
The packaging says this is 24 hour stay and I do believe it lives up to that, but, it does very very slightly do the imprinting on your eyelid thing, Thankfully it was not noticeable at all. I did not wear it for the whole 24 hours... kinda obviously needing sleep and what not ;) but from the time of me wearing it (12 hours) it was still very black and bold! This is the point which is keeping me to Maybelline Gel for now (I mean, who would want that washed out grey black look? Bold is where it is at ladies).
I have never really had a problem with eyeliners (ranging from gel, liquid and pencil) on my eyelids and around my eyes, only once when I brought a nasty cheap liquid liner from the $2 shop gave me a itchy reaction around my eyes. There was no sign of a reaction of this gel liner at all, and I do have dry/mixed/sensitive skin (It varys from what part of my body it is, very annoying but oh well.)
I overall would recommend this gel liner to anyone who would like to try gel liners but you will need to know or practice to use the brush. It probably helps that I am very experienced when it comes to the cat eye liner and brushes. You may experience the very little not very noticeable imprint on you eyelid or may not. Also, if you like bold, pick this!
Tips: If you have a problem with the gel not going onto you lids properly you either have too much or too little. To avoid this, I have a practice run to find the perfect amount I need on my brush. I do find I need to have two layers to achieve the black bold look, you may or may not need two layers but don't forget to look closely in the mirror as I find it may look good from a distance when really, there are a few lighter spots that need more on it close up. Good luck!
Great stuff !! Not just me, but my best friend and I use this daily. It's easy to apply and the brush is decent. Especially great for nights out drinking, we're you don't have to keep re applying every time you go to the bathroom. I'd does however put an eyeliner print on my eyelid but I just wipe it off.
This product was really good! Went straight from using eye liner pencils to gel and although I was weary about the change... It was worth it! This was the first gel I used and it lasts so much longer than eye pencils! I was amazed! Especially since it hardly smudge throughout the day! Great for when I go to work, as eyeliner tends to smudge in the hot conditions. The only problem I had was with the brush. Being a first timer of this sort of this I was a bit unsure about this. I tried it out but my friend recommended getting another brush and I did. I wish this came with another brush otherwise I would say this product is perfect. It stays on all day and night and just lasts way longer than I expected!
Tips: Use another brush.
Yay for gel liners that make your life easier! I am a fan of this product due to how easy it makes winged lines! The product is super creamy and easy to apply, and I was stoked when I found this. The only downside I have to this product is the lasting power. As soon as I go to curl my lashes, half of my wing is removed just from it being touched. I'm not sure if it's just me this happens too, but liner doesn't seem to stay well on my skin. Overall, I really like this liner, and it's a great value also.
love the eyeliner. slides on well and is very pigmented. stays on all day. didnt seem to smudge or crease and came of very easy
Tips: can dry out very fast in the pot so make sure you are putting the lid on straight after you have used it. whip the brush as soon as you have used it aswell otherwise you will find you have a build up of product which will dry on the brush
