Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner Review

Awfully fiddly and it's a lot harder to get a thinner line than what you would with something like liquid eyeliner. Gel liner looks so awesome and lasts (provided you let it set). If you don't, it goes everywhere and is such a hassle. Blackest Black doesn't exactly come across as heavily black soo.. Hmm.

I heard such amazing stuff about this product so i decided i would give it a go. Having never used gel eyeliner before I was sooo intimidated however, its been so easy to use. I love how it comes with a brush , and yes, it might not be the best brush but I havn't had any trouble using it. The colour (I got blackest black) is exactly that. I normally struggle with eyeliner transferring after a few hours and smudging and all that. I find this isnt 100% smudge proof however I don't find it transfers unless I touch it. It is really reasonably prices and will last you aaaaages. I find this is perfect for winged liner beginners, like myself,as its easy to clean up and perfect your liner with some concealer. I love this liner as it is perfect for a strong bold wing liner or a smudged out one.It can be pretty much used for anything.

I bought this product shortly after my mac gel liner ran out, and I was not disappointed, it goes on a breeze and the little brush is shaped to get the perfect flick, It does take a little longer than liquid liner to dry, but lasts so much longer. Defiantly a big fan!

I do like this gel liner, it is nice and dark and goes on easily. I find that it also lasts all day/night however this is when I use a good eye primer/Mac paint pot underneath. I found that it did smudge slightly on the top of my eyelid, however I do have quite hooded lids. I don't particularly like the brush that it comes with, that is the only thing I could say that they do need to improve on.

I've used this product for years. It was the first ever gel liner I ever tried and I was weary because the only reason I tried it was because it claimed to be intensely black and budge-proof. And it totally was!

It lasts for a good amount of time, it's easy to use and it doesn't dry out super fast like Mac's Blacktrack gel liner which is awesome because this is waaaaay cheaper.

Usually brushes and applicators that come with beauty products are overlooked but the one that comes with this is actually not bad to use at all. When I was starting out with make up and gel liner, I did use it and it was fairly easy to work with.

I also particularly love how it's not difficult to take off at the end of the day.

This product was really good! Went straight from using eye liner pencils to gel and although I was weary about the change... It was worth it! This was the first gel I used and it lasts so much longer than eye pencils! I was amazed! Especially since it hardly smudge throughout the day! Great for when I go to work, as eyeliner tends to smudge in the hot conditions. The only problem I had was with the brush. Being a first timer of this sort of this I was a bit unsure about this. I tried it out but my friend recommended getting another brush and I did. I wish this came with another brush otherwise I would say this product is perfect. It stays on all day and night and just lasts way longer than I expected!

I was really intrigued by this product. I had heard really really good things about it and tight I would try it out after my MAC fluid line ran out. Whilst it is really reasonably priced and nicely pigmented I felt that I didn't have a lot of staying power. I'm a MAC Blacktrack girl and so while this lived up to the colour and consistency hype it just didn't do it for me wearability wise. I found that it rubbed at the slightest touch and also marked my lids even after using a setting spray or liner setter. I think this is okay for a back up liner but I wouldn't be buying it as a staple again anytime soon. I'm only a third of the way through the pot that I bought and I've gone back to MAC.

This is one of the best Gel eye liners I have ever tried. Too be fair I have not tried too many, but the other 5 I have tried are on the more high end side and the Maybelline liner being the cheapest buy far has the best pay off and bang for your Buck!

Compared to my other gel liners this one does come in a small pot, but my pot is barely half used and I v been using it every week for almost a year and a half! It is very long lasting and a little will go along way. The gel slides on very easy and will last you a good 12 hours. The gel itself does not crumble or flake of and it dose not rub onto the top of your eye lid!

Another bonus is with this liner you do get a gel brush free!!! So if you do not have one you will be all sorted.

I have only tried the black gel liner and I would highly recommend it

I was gifted this to try by a rep at work. I loved how it came in a small black pot and had a brush included. I found that the depth of the colour was amazing but unfortunately the brush was too soft and I found it hard to apply the eyeliner with it and get a consistent line. I resolved this problem by swapping over the brush for my Shiseido one. This made the colour go on quite consistently and I was really happy with the results. Unfortunately the colour didn't last the whole day and I found that I had panda eyes by the end of the day. I must admit I am a bit of an eye rubber though.

This is the most amazing eyeliner ever. It's perfect for everyday use but also when you want a more dramatic winged look. I love winged eyeliner but because I have hooded eyes, I always found it hard to find an eyeliner that set before I opened my eye and it would end up being all smudged over my eyelid. This is why Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner is perfect for me, I find it glides on smoothly and also sets quickly. It comes with a cute little brush that gives you perfect precision for smaller or thicker lines. I love that it lasts all day but also is easy to remove when I wash my face.
