Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Review

I liked this mascara for a mascara that you don't need it to last all day, only because I found it does transfer and flake after a few hours on me anyway. The formula is quite wet and because the brush is quite a large fluffy one you do have to apply carefully or it can get messy real quick. My favorite types of mascara formulas are more so on the dryer side and I like my wands just a bit smaller. It's not by any means a bad mascara it's just personal preference. I've left mine alone for a while I'm wondering if this is the type of mascara that gets a bit better when left to get a bit older and a wee bit dried out so I would be interested to see if that's the case foe this one.

Fantastic product if you want an affordable option that actually lifts and Curls. My only con is it gives me panda eyes after a night out, but that would be me pushing the product to its limit!! It’s a great alternative to the luxury brands and when I’m on a budget it is the one I grab!!

Works well after using a curler to hold them in place, nice formula but clumps easily and I found it wasn't a buildable mascara. A good product overall if used carefully.

I like this mascara, it really lengthened my eyelashes and gave good volume. Personally, I don't think it's as good as other Maybelline mascaras, but I liked it!

I did like the colour and length this product gave, however I thought that it was quite thick and hard to remove at the end of the day.

Works wonderful for about 1 month. Making my lashes full and nice that i have ever dreamed about. After a month, the formula dries out and start appearing like black powder fall over after applying. I tested few of Maybelline mascaras and that happen all the same. Looking for another good one.

I really liked the shape of this brush! It covered most of my lashes in one stroke. And the formula was really dark black which gives a bold look. While I did like colossal, I found that it can clump and also flake or be lumpy.

I liked this mascara but didn't love it. I love the brush though. I didn't find it made my lashes appear thicker but did add length and separated them too which I liked

I first saw this thick yellow tubed product in the makeup bag of a friend's teenage daughter, and then again on the bathroom shelf of another, which led me to believe that I might be too old for the product. The price tag kept it a little out of my 'I'll just try it and use it' tendencies for a while, and then I figured I would jump right in the deep end. The brush was thicker than I'd normally use, and the mascara was slightly dryer, although it definitely gave some oomph to my eyes. I found that it smudged a little on my lids and that I had to follow up with a cotton bud to remove the excess, but it was great when applied on top of my usual mascara to give that further boost of impact. I'm glad that I've tried it but it's not something that I will regularly purchase. If someone gave me a free one, I wouldn't say no however xx

So I felt like my lashes were thicker heavier etc, but I think that is just the heavy cakey nature of this product, it felt clumpy and didn't give me the look I wanted. Tended to look cheap on.
