Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Review

While I was using this mascara I thought it was fabulous! - However when I went to repurchase I bought Rocket instead and have since realised how clumpy and flaky the colossal mascara was in comparasin. Definitely not a bad mascara! and if I was given a new one I would definitely use it, but for the price there are better mascaras out there!

i love this mascara its one one the best ones i have ever gotten. It gives my eyelashes so much volume as well as making them long and without looking clumpy, which is exactly what a mascara should do:)

Love this mascara. I'm quite picky when it comes to my mascaras. Although I wasn't a fan of the Define-A-Lash by Maybelline, I love the Colossal. I have used it for a few years now, and it is still one of my faves, and my most used mascara. The formula isn't too wet, and therefore doesn't weigh my lashes down, which I hate because my lashes don't hold curls well. This mascara is my go-to mascara when I want defined and curled lashes, and I absolutely love the waterproof formula. The brush head is big, and distributes products nicely, and I find it can be used to either sweep straight upwards, or slightly to the side for a more doe-eyed effect. I think the 9x volume is a bit of an exaggeration, but I still think this mascara is amongst my top 5. Definitely a product worth trying, especially the waterproof one.

A good mascara is a definite must have for me, and this one fits my musts in a mascara: volume, lasting, easy to apply and value for money. It does give quite a full look and I must say if not applied properly (as with everything) you can end up with clumpy lashes. Its fantastic to wear both day and night, the brush isn't so bendy so its easier to get all the lashes. I especially love the diamonds one which gives your ladhes an added sparkle.

This was my go to mascara for some time. Now I normally like plastic bristles but this mascara is an exception. Isn't too thick and doesn't clump up. Gives a "fake lash" effect without looking too fake. At this price, gotta love it! =D

I love this product. It makes my eyelashes double in width not in length. I just wish they made these mascara a bit cheaper. A fair price would be 15.00. On special they are 19.00 at countdown.

Tried this a few years ago and was quite excited to receive it as I had not the longest eyelashes. Thought the consistency was great and it seemed to glide on easily, no clumping or flaking. I thought it made my lashes look alot longer and then boom had a reaction to it. My eyes started feeling really itchy and sore so I quickly washed it off, it actually came off really easily aswell. What a shame as I was really liking the look but alias never tried it again.

My cousin gave me one of these a while ago and I didn't expect to be impressed. While I am very picky and choosy about what I'll buy, this is fantastic considering the price. Definitely impressed, though I did find the formula kind if thick which meant I got a bit of clumpyness (that's probably more my fault, I love to apply about a million coats!). I don't really mind the clumps depending on the look I'm going for, but this one doesn't give you a natural looking finish. Having said that, it is meant for volume, which it certainly gave. I used this to go out and I really liked the effect. I'd definitely get this again if I was in need a a cheapie in a hurry.

Maybelline colossal mascara is AWESOME! love how it creates volum for your lashes with ONE COAT- exactly what they advertise too. I already have long lashes but need volum for thicker lushes lashes and this mascara is PERFECT... i'd say it is one of my top 3 Mascaras :) Gives you clumps though
