For a general, every day mascara you really can’t do better than this one. It’s got a nice formula, nice application, and lasts for ages. It dries super quickly and the brush is firm and spreads nicely.
I have seen some people say that it provides a lot of fall out, but I tend to be sparse with my mascara so if you’re a first time mascara user, or someone who don’t use it much, this is the one for you!
There is a reason why this is still going and hasn't really been revamped.. Training to be a mua, this was always in everyone's kit/ used back stage at events etc as it's pretty inexpensive and of course, it works! I'm a fan of the waterproof version, but yep love this product! Having read the reviews I'm surprised at the bad reviews!..
I use to use this product it's good and does what it says you've just got to watch out you don't put to much on as it clumps to easy
I tried this because I saw a friend wearing it and it made her lashes look fantastic. It had already been on my 'to try' list and her look convinced me it was worth trying.
On me however, it was a bit more average. The mascara felt fairly standard for a Maybelline mascara and gave me roughly the average length lashes I get with a Maybelline mascara. When I applied lots and lots of coats I could get a more significant amount of length and a bit of volume, but with that many coats of mascara, my lashes also felt a bit heavy and gluggy.
In terms of clumping, I wouldn't say they never clumped, but they didn't clump a lot which was good. In fact overall I didn't really feel this mascara thickened the lashes which I think contributed to the lack of clumps.
Packaging-wise its a bright, simple design that is eye catching and classic.
The mascara itself does have potential, but you need to already have long lashes to discover that potential to some extent.
This mascara was my go-to for years. I found the brush was easy to use (some brushes do an amazing job, but are darned hard to use!) and the formula never clumped. The formula was pretty good about not smudging and it didn't dry out.
Did I look like I was wearing falsies or naturally had eyelashes to dye for (see what I did there??)? No. Did it coat my lashes and frame my face without smudging or otherwise drawing attention to itself? Yes. Win!
I've used this mascara on and off for years, over the time I have used this mascara I have had some mixed feelings about the product but overall I feel that for the price and availability of it it is a reasonable product. My eyelashes already have a lot of length but as I suffer from dry skin in the bed of my eyelashes unfortunately I have thinned out my eyelash hairs. Because of this I look for a mascara that will provide volume and make my lashes appear thicker I find that this mascara does a great job at lengthening the eyelashes but not so well at thickening however I lent this to my friend to use and she has short thick eyelashes and it looked amazing on her. I found that this mascara has a very thin wet consistency and takes time to dry it's a great mascara for the price but I prefer a thicker almost more clumpy consistency but that is just preference!
Tips: As this mascara is thin and wet I suggest waiting for it to dry before trying to blink to much or doing anything else near the eyes as it could smudge and to layer up 2-3 layers as it doesn't clump up too much although it will clump if you apply too much!
Compared to many other mascaras it's light on the eye lids and by the end of the day my eyes are not sore. More of a everyday mascara.
This was one of the first mascaras I tried when I first started wearing makeup in high school. It's prefect for beginners or for everyday wear if you don't want super dramatic lashes. Unlike the Maybelline falsies and colossal, it doesn't give a thick clumpy look. It will just lengthen and darken your lashes for a more natural look. It comes with a small brush so it's easy to apply and easy to apply to lower lashes.
This is an all time classic, which is cheap and easy to use. I love this mascara because it really lengthens lashes and has them looking amazing all the time.
Tips: Layer it up if you want thicker looking lashes
