Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

I don't really like this mascara for my top lashes as i don't feel like it gives me a good enough result, however it is really good for bottom lashes cos it doesn't put too much product on or make them look spidery. Probably wouldn't repurchase for this though.

Having read lots of glowing reviews about Maybelline Great Lash mascara I was so excited to think that such a cheap mascara was so perfect...and then I tried it...This is one of the worst mascaras I've ever used. It clumped and and my eyelashes stuck together. It irritated my eyes and made them itchy and within a couple of hours I had more mascara smudged under my eyes than on my lashes. Very disappointing.The only good thing I can say about this is that I like the retro look of the tube.

I have owned this once and won't buy it again. I would say its an average mascara that gives very little length, it thickened my lashes slightly but it smudged so much. So basically it was all rubbed off by mid-day.

The brush was good , I actually would use it with other mascaras. The design of packaging is very pretty but that's about it.

I've tried this mascara several times because people keep talking about how great it is, so I convince myself that maybe I just had a bad tube. Every time I'm disappointed all over again, it smudges, it clumps and it doesn't even do anything particularly amazing for your lashes when you finally get it applied right! At best it's given me a serious case of spider lashes.

I accidentally bought this, when I had intended to get Full 'N Soft. This was the first time I've ever thrown away a product after only trying it for a couple weeks. It weighed my lashes down and removed any curl/lift. It made them slightly darker, but didn't lengthen or thicken them. It also started flaking off after a couple hours. I regret buying it and wasting my money.

It definitely made my lashes bigger and bolder...but not in a good way. Way too much formula comes out and just clumps my lashes together in thick black chunks. Gave me panda eyes within an hour. The only thing I liked was how black it was. Unfortunately I really do not see the hype.

I found this product awful. It was clumpy. It smudged and flaked. After 1 hour I looked like a panda. Very disappointed.

My Mum has always told me that this was the best mascara. I have very sparse and short eyelashes and this mascara does literally nothing that I want to get out of a mascara. The wand is bristles, and I prefer a comb-like wand to really get my lashes individually. It also clumps and seems to be quite temperature sensitive in that respect, and I also have a hard time getting this one on my eyelids in my attempts to get each lash coated.

I know this mascara has an amazing and long lived reputation...but I just don’t get it.

It didn’t lengthen or thicken my lashes, and it flaked and then smudged. I would’ve been better off going mascara free.

If you can make this product work for you, I envy you as it’s a cost effective alternative to other leading mascaras on the market. But I just can’t.

Perhaps it was amazing in its day and has become a cult favorite but I just think there are so many awesome mascaras out there now that this product has been outdated.

It also isn’t cruelty free so I wouldn’t buy it on those grounds nowadays anyway.
