Maybelline Define-a-lash Mascara Review

i also like many other people got this for free for signing up to ilovebeauty.co.nz and i think it gives definition but not volume. if u put multiple coats on it makes my lashes look clumpy which i personally dislike.

I found this mascara okay although i would use something different if I was going out at night. It gives a nice natural finish and it doesn't tend to build up that well. I like my lashes to be nice and long and full and this just doesn't quite cut it.

I found this product gave a very natural look to your lashes perfect for the day time or someone who like less mascara but not recommended for someone who loves full thick lashes like me. It didnt clump at all and gave my lashes a nice fanned out effect

I have always been a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras due to their affordability, bright packaging, and how well they work. At the time I bought this, it was brand new and different to the mascara market because of the comb styled brush.

For someone like me, I hate clumpy mascaras and tend to avoid the really huge brushes, so I was super keen to give this a try as I imagined it would comb away my clumps. For someone wanting definition and length, this is a perfect mascara for them, as it really does exactly as you would expect it.

The only concern is that I found the brush quite floppy and hard to put back into the tube. This is the only thing that would prevent me from re-purchasing, as I have had a few broken ones in the past due to this issue. Other than that, it is a great mascara with loads of selections from the range to choose from (waterproof, brown, etc.)

I do not like this mascara for my top lashes as it is not very volumising but i do like it for my bottom lashes as the brush is quite small and perfect to get my shorter bottom lashes.

I've used this product but must admit it isn't my favourite of the maybelline mascaras. I found the brush was a little flimsy so it was difficult to apply a thicker layer to build up product for defined lashes. However, it was good in the sense that I experienced few clumps. I found that the formula almost seemed a little thick for my liking. I much prefer the great lash or volume express range and find these products much easier to work with for defined and long lashes.

Maybelline always does so well with mascaras and this one isn't any different. I use this mascara when i'm going for a natural look as I find it not to be to extreme. It darkens my lashes, give me a bit of volume and length which I'm looking for when a nearly fresh face. It doesn't build up to something that I would wear for full luscious lashes but for the natural look it's perfect!

I do really like this product, but it gives more of a separated natural look to the lashes so i really like using this on days where i cant be bothered with lots of makeup. Does tend to smudge on my bottom lashes and washes off very easily. Nice thin consistency formula but def not my saturday night va va voom go to mascara.

Not the greatest, but definitely not the worst. It doesn't clump, it darkens lashes and the result is nice. However, it does not add volume, does not make my lashes look noticeably longer and is not the best Maybelline mascara I have used.

All in all, I am happy with it in the sense that it was a freebie - I would probably be slightly disappointed had I had to pay for it. The brush is nice and small so it is easier to coat all lashes and it is fine to use as an everyday mascara for more natural looking makeup.

I didn't purchase this myself, got given it as a gift. I like it for my bottom lashes as the wand is smaller than my go to mascara (falsies). i dont like the look of it on my top lashes as it doesn give me any volume or length. which is what i look for in a mascara
