Maybelline Colour Tattoo - Barely Branded

This is the perfect eyeshadow primer and I am in love! I use it all over my lid right up to my brow before applying shadows over top. This gives an amazing base, makes the colours pop, and helps to stop the shadows from creasing. I also use it to line under my eyes which gives me a shimmery wide-awake look.

Tips: Leaving the lid off will dry the product out quickly. Make sure you put the lid back on as soon as you're finished using the product. My first one dried out when I was doing someone's ball makeup and left the lid off for about half an hour!

SO MANY COLOURS! BRILIANT TEXTURE! SO SMOOTH AND CREAMY AND EASY TO APPLY AND I AM IN LOVE! A holy grail product.

Tips: Can dry easy - but easy fix - dab a little water.

Barely Branded

I've got really oily lids with deep set eyes, so even with primer this still creased (grrr!). However - If I just use it on the wee part of my upper lid near the lashline that doesn't disappear under my "fold" it stays put ALL day! first shadow ever to do that even withOUT primer!! I like to use the "barely branded" (kind of a pale cream/nude?) just to highlight my upper lids, as I like to use coloured liners on the lower lid, and it gives a nice opened effect, paired with an awesome lengthening mascara ofcourse :) It has a nice smooth creamy consistency and is easy to layer up for a more intense colour if that's what your after, or a nice light coating for just a wee bit of highlighting.

So if you don't have shadow hating lids like me this would be great for you! Even in saying that, Its still the best one I've tried on my lids anyway- just not near the crease.

Tips: Much much easier to apply with fingertip! I need to keep a short nail to do so however but I've usually got a random broken one anyway lol.

Long Lasting Eye Make Up

If you want your eye make up to last all night long, then the Maybelline Colour Tatto is for you. I use this product everytime I go out and my eye shadow stays on perfectly. I use my finger to apply the product all over my eyelid. I find this can be used alone as an all over eye lid colour. I own about 5 colours now and I love them all!

Lasts ages!

I am in love with multipurpose products and this one works a treat! I use this as an eyeshadow base or as just a for a bit of colour on the lid for everyday and it never lets me down! Such a great range of colours too but I love 'Barely Branded'

Tips: Use your fingers to apply, easier to move around this way!

Eye Tattoo

I do like these on their own, but I tend to use mine more as a base underneath my eye-shadow and it lasts longer. I also find some of the colors different on the skin compared to in the jar which is a little disappointing but can suit other people that I use my makeup on. The purple color is gorgeous as a night time eye-shadow especially if you are going for a basic natural look and just want your eyes to pop. They have a great range of colours to choice from so everyone can find one they like but my preferences are 'Barely Branded' and 'Tough as Taupe'. I really like the texture of these, they don't crease like other pot eye-shadow's do, they last for ages so you don't have to keep reapplying through the day or night. If you want something long lasting or as a good eye-shadow base I suggest investing in some of these and the price is affordable to.

Tips: I use my finger as it's easy to apply and move around where you want it. Also easy to blend if using other colors.

Colour Tattoos

These are great for when you're in a rush or as a base for other eyeshadows. They have decent staying power and come in a large range of colours. My favourites are barely branded and bad to the bronze. The colour is quite buildable and is super easy to apply.

Tips: Easiest to apply with your fingers.

Great base!

I love the Colour Tattoos. They havethe most amazing colour range to choose from. I have a few of these as they are great for a base when applying syeshadow to make it long lasting and to make the eyeshadow colour apply better.

Tips: Using your finger is the best tool to use for this!

Great product!

These colourt tattoos are fantastic.

In terms of quality they are very similar to Mac Paint Pots.

I started out with Tough as Taupe. The consistency is buttery and it is very pigmented, however this is much more of grey than a taupe. I use this on my lids and then put Mac Howzat in the crease and on the outer lid to smoke it out.

I recently bout Nude Pink which is a dupe for Mac Painterly Paint Pot that many people use as an eyeshadow base. I was pleasantly surprised - it's a lovely muted pink that you can wear on its own with a slightly darker crease colour, or as an effective base.

These don't dry out as fast as the Mac Paint pots.

I'd like to get bold gold but have heard that the pigmentation is patchy on that so will do a little more investigating.

Overall, a great product that I would recommend to all.
