Colour Tattoo is right!

Wow. This is one of the first eye shadows I have used that actually last all day without smudging and fading. I am so impressed with this product because you can build it up as much as you like and it just stays put! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a long-lasting eyeshadow, particularly because it comes in a variety of softer and brighter shades to appeal to everyone's taste.

Tips: I have tried this product by myself and maybe it's just because I'm naturally pale, but it didn't look that great. However with a touch of nude eyeshadow to separate the colour and the rest of my eye (from the crease up) it looks a lot more natural and appealing!

Gorgeous colours

I love the colour range that they have in this product! Even though there are only 9 colours (& i'd love to see more) they are all so vibrant and gorgeous.

They blend onto your eye easily and have a decent staying power but I felt that they went strangely patchy and I could certainly not wear it on it's own without an eyeshadow on top. I did find that they didn't crease on top of a primer and under an eyeshadow though so that was a great bonus. A little goes a long way also, so you won't be running out of your product any time soon - I haven't had them long enough to see how long it takes before they dry out in the packaging though.

Overall, I love the concept and think they're a really good idea. I would just prefer if I could wear them without an eyeshadow on top as they'd save me so much time if I was running late to something! :P

Great as a base!

I have two of the Colour tattoo pots, one in Bad to the Bronze, and the other one in Inked in Pink. I was tempted to try these from a Youtube clip that I saw where it looked amazing on the girl wearing them- and they are amazing and well worth the money! They go on very nicely- I prefer to put these on with my fingers instead of a brush because the heat warms them up and gets a better finish! I love these as a base and then to put my eyeshadows on top (can be compared to the Mac paint pots in my opinion) but i probably wouldn't wear them on their own. They also have a great colour range!

Tips: Apply by hand and not with a brush= better finish Great as a base to put eyeshadow on top

GREAT

This is eyeshadow is amazing! I only used a friends one but absolutely loved it! I asked to keep it but she said no haha! Deffinaelt something worth trying, I love how it stays on for so long and doesn't fade to nothing.

Tips: one tip would be to use a little applicator brush as it becomes easier to apply and shape rather then using your finger which doesn't really get to where you want it to. especially the corners of your eyes.

Great!

Great product! I have Barely Branded and use it as an eye shadow base and a highlighter to highlight my brow bone and inner corners. It does crease a little but stays on all day.

Great colour

I like the colour range and the product works well as a base. I quite like the effect it has once eye shadow is put on top of it. Quite a good price too so I'll be getting some more of these

Tips: Use fingertips to apply, it doesn't work well with a brush because the product won't apply evenly.

Seriously potent eye colour from Maybelline

I’m going to confess that I am a MAC snob. (Side note- I own MAC ‘Snob’ lipstick, and it’s great and yes you should go buy one). However, certain ‘drugstore’ products have sneakily made it into the MAC cool kids club in my makeup kit. One of such products is my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Silver Strike. These awesome pots of goodness are the affordable alternative to MAC Paint Pots.

Silver Strike is intensely pigmented and applies evenly to the lid. I like to use my fingers to apply so that I retain the most of the colour intensity. The texture could be ever so slightly smoother but this really isn’t a big deal.

This stuff lasts really well and doesn’t crease. As for the 24h claim, I do not know. Aint nobody got time to sit around for 24h without taking off his or her makeup. All I can say is when I take off my makeup at the end of a standard day, the eyeshadow looks to be in relatively the same state as when I put it on. You won’t want to muck around once you get it on your eyes though- there is only a small window of time in which the product can be manipulated before it dries, at which time it will not budge. Because of this, they can be a little bit harder to work with if you are intending to blend several colours ensemble.

Now for the colour; Silver Strike. If you raided Michael Hill, melted down all their charm bracelets and put it into a pot, that’s what the colour is like. Pure, glittering, crisp silver. It’s not steely, not grey, not asphalt-esque, just a perfect bright, shimmery silver. Particularly beautiful on blue eyes with a fresh complexion and bright lips, but anyone can rock it.

Maybelline Colour Tattoos come in a screw top pot and have no discernable scent. They are non-sticky, long wearing, intensely pigmented and a great product to have in your makeup arsenal.

If you want your eyes to make a statement with minimal effort, give these Maybelline Colour Tattoos a whirl.

Great colours

I have these in two neutral shades - barely branded and tough as taupe. They look really nice together.

The colours are great. The lighter shade makes for a great base. The darker shade is a really nice colour; really pigmented in that you dont need to use too much.

My only grievance with these is that they are really strange to apply. Doesn't go on too evenly with a brush, a cotton bud works ok but I always seem to revert to using my fingers to blend and smudge.

Will continue to use this product simply for the amazing colours (just wish they were easier to apply or came with a brush or something to apply with).

Great eyeshadow bases!

I purchased a couple of these a while ago and i don't regret it. They are great as a BASE for your eyeshadow. I don't really use these on their own but if you apply the desired colour on the lid before you apply the rest of your eyeshadow they help the eyeshadow stick, stay longer, stop creasing and look more vibrant. On their own they are pretty but not incredibly pigmented. I would recommend these though because they are very affordable and a good base is important in any makeup look you create. The range of colours isn't huge but there are colours available that are very useful and great to add in your collection. These are very creamy and easy to apply. Also the amount of product you get is amazing for the price!

Tips: Apply with finger straight to the eyelids, apply powder eyeshadow over top if desired :)
