A makebag must have

The NYX jumbo eye pencils are fantastic for use under shadows to make the colours pop, and aids the longevity. The Milk coloured pencil also acts as a great highlight to the inner corner of the eye. Great colour range, and extremely blendable. Another great drugstore buy.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

This product was a bit average. If you're in a rush and just want to use minimal products this is a good multi-tasker. I have it in MILK and use it to highlight my inner corner and brow bone which has a good effect. However, I found that it's a bit hard to apply and blend out it isn't as creamy as I thought it would be and it tugs a little on the skin as you apply straight from the pencil. I'm not in love with it but I also don't hate it.

Shade: Milk

I picked this up online after hearing about it in numerous youtube videos and I don't get the fuss about it.

When using the pencil as an eyeshadow base I have not found that it makes my eyeshadow stand out any more than usual, though it does help with it not sliding around and my shadows do stay in place better.

The pencil is quite bulky and drags on your eye lid which if you had sensitive eyes could be quite painful, it also requires quite a bit of blending out.

Pop Art recreation

I only have 1 of these in Milk, which i brought after watching several of youtube halloween or dress up tutorials, the Pop art one is the reason why i purchased Milk. Its great, I used it on my self and my niece we were recereating the pop art video and we both became cartoon characters for the day. The pencil was creamy, pigmented, did the job, I used white eyeshadow to set it ( if you havent seen the tutorial, you basically use the jumbo eye pencil to make dots on your face) I brought mine off Beauty Joint,I have seen girls selling it for $10-$13 on facebook and trademe I personally wouldnt buy it for that much. I used this once as a base because people say its a great eyeshadow base, its an ok base, it made the colours pop, but my eyeshadow still creased, so il just stick to my paintpot, Lucky its cheap.

Milk base

I got one of these in Milk because I had seen endless videos that had used as a base. It is a great base for giving eyeshadow that extra pop of colour however I have found that sometimes it ceases, maybe due to the primer I use, or could have been due to the eyeshadow I put on top, I don’t know I will have to do some testing. It is great for what it can do, as a base, highlight inner corner and even highlight your brow bone. It can also be sharpened.

Affordable Eyeshadow Base

I must have purchased this in the shade 'milk' at least three times by now. It makes a great eyeshadow base when applied and blended thinly really giving something for the shadow to stick to. It is super creamy and blends without any hassles, my only real complaint is sharpening them can be a pain sometimes so I now tend to depot them by cutting off the end and pushing the lightly softened product through the 'pencil'

Better options around than this one

I have tried this eyeshadow stick multiple times over the past few months. I have the shade Iced mocha which is a beautiful bronzed milk chocolate shade. It applies really creamy and blends out well across the mobile lid. I applied this on top of a primer with a warm crease shade and it looked really nice, quite natural but with a nice amount of shimmer. About an hour later I found I needed to reapply a little more onto my lid as the colour had faded somewhat. Two hours later the cream shadow had settled into the creases of my lid and had to be removed. Without a primer this creases in less than half an hour. Unfortunately I think I will only be able to use this shadow as a base, or if I only need it to last for an hour or so. I would be far more inclined to reach for other cream shadows than this one because of its poor longevity so won't be repurchasing.

Best base

I use milk as a base for my colorful eye shadows to make it pop. It's creamy, easy to blend and does a great job plus its inexpensive. You defiantly have to use a primer if you have oily lids, always make sure you set it aswell otherwise it will crease. The only thing I slightly disliked was trying to sharpen it, which is why I don't use it as much anymore because its such a mess/struggle to sharpen. It's not my go to product but its good for the price.

Tips: Make sure you set it as soon as possible so you can avoid any creasing.

Great multitasker

I have a few of these and i've used them as an eyeshadow base, liner and on my brows. They're awesome. Cheap, pigmented, soft and smooth. The colours are vibrant and it doesn't take much effort to get them onto your skin.

Base

I love using this, I use it after applying a primer(Like UD Primer Potion) and before a super bright color to get the most payoff. I don't like this all over the lid because it can be super chalky and it's kind of difficult to work with drier matte formulas of eyeshadow but it is amazing for shimmers, sheen's, satin's and glitters. I've even had luck using matte MAC pigments(Clear Sky Blue and True Chartreuse) with this but it is not friendly with all formulas I guess. I love to apply UD All-Nighter Setting Spray(before mascara and non-waterproof eyeliner because it can cause it to run) and this gives me eye looks that look freshly applied, no oxidation, creasing or fading for HOURS. I also like to put some in my waterline and use a light nude, beige or pink on top to give me that more open or awake eye look that lasts a long time, otherwise nothing stays on my waterline. I like to use this on the eyelid with a neutral color in the crease
